Vivian has been doing my dip powder on my nails & she does an Amazing job, I get compliments on my nails all the time. I'm a licensed cosmetologist so I can say without hesitation, I am very picky. Found this place via Yelp. Wanted to try somewhere new and closer to the place I get my eyebrows done. The color selection here is superb. I walked right in, waited less than 4 mins before they called me to come back to the pedicure chair. I didn't see a sign with services and pricing, so I ended up asking the price of a pedicure. I was told $27. I guess it used to be $25. And if you pay with card, there's an extra $2 charge (see photos) I saw how they clean the pedicure bowls. So they take the clear shower cap off and toss it, spray the bowl with lysol, take a metal sponge from the drawer and put alcohol in the sponge, then scrub the bowl. The good: told me it would be a half hour before they could get to me and honored that. The bad: I was there over two hours for a pedicure and manicure, shellac. The ugly: they up charge if you use a credit card and only accept tips in cash. However, I saw this (on multiple signs) when I first walked in so I used that half hour to run an errand and hit the atm. Now I have paid good money to get my crusty grippers (my daughter's way of describing my feet) together, but I paid $102 for a shellac manicure and pedicure. Not horrible, but a tad pricey. Maybe not for the area? Y'all used to paying this much, Livonia? And that did NOT include tip. The young lady that did my feet was phenomenal - meticulous and thorough. Browsed through yelp to find a last minute nail place near Canton to fix a nail crisis. Luckily this place was open the Monday before Christmas - walked in to find the salon packed and very busy! A man working asked if I had an appointment (which I did not) and said they were full with appointments until late in the afternoon. He was kind enough to squeeze me in for a dip polish change and I was ecstatic! My nails look fabulous and I was super grateful that they were able to take my walk-in even though they were busy. The lady who did my nails fixed one of my broken thumbs (crisis diverted) and the total for the dip polish pre-tip was $41. First time trying this salon as I just moved back to Michigan. I got charged $92 for a basic pedicure and a tip and dip manicure. The pedicure was basic clean and turned out good. My manicure I could not say the same. I asked for an almond shape and the guy made them very pointy and got mad at me when I asked him for short. He was not friendly. They did not buff, clip or clean my nails OR cuticles!!!!!!! It was the second worst manicure I have ever received and the service was not nice. Every time I asked questions he would get mad. I found this wonderful shop based on the reviews on yelp. Sure glad I decided to go! We went on a Sunday afternoon, not crowded at all. But as time went on about 6 more people arrived while we were getting serviced. The shop is very clean, the staff was kind and friendly! Ty, Vivian and Van are the bomb! They work fast and the quality is very good. They have a nice variety of polishes and shellac. I appreciate their feedback on the selection of colors we chose too. And I love how they want to know your name and actually use it! My mother and daughter both had pedicures. They said it was the best they've ever had. I used to love coming here for dip powder. They had many colors and were great at application. My problem is that I seem to be invisible. For the last 3 visits, I am ignored with ppl going in front of me, no niceties for me from Vivian the owner and it seems as if it happens to other ppl of my color. It took me 3 visits to believe this. I actually sat and paid attention to the difference in how she treats black customers versus other races. Now that I know for a fact that I see this difference I will not be back and hope other black customers take their dollars elsewhere. It's a shame bcuz It's not all the workers, just her. First time getting dip nails. I've had them on for six weeks and they're still perfect, the only thing is that they're grown out so I have to get them redone. I put tips on and did them almond shaped. It was a little pricey because I did ombré. And the almond shaped nails were an extra $5. I am new to this area and tried this place based on reviews and I was not disappointed! I went on a Friday night expecting it to be busy, but I had to wait less than 5 minutes- which was awesome! I hate waiting at salons for a long time, we are all busy and don't want to waste time... Anyways, I was going to get shellac, but Van told me about this relatively new method called powder dipping. I had never heard of this before and decided to try it because supposedly it's better for your nails. This method is sooo cool and it seriously looks amazing in the end! On my hunt for a nail salon in Livonia, I decided to give Natural Nails a try based on the positive reviews and notes that the salon was clean. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Their prices are very reasonable with a pedi at $25 and mani at $15. I had advised I might want to do shellac polish and still include the scrub with a regular mani. The girl looked confused when I mentioned the scrub but said the mani is included with shellac. My pedicure was extremely fast. If you are in a time crunch, a pedicure could be done in 20 minutes. However, no scrub was included with the pedicure. Even basic pedicures iv had usually have a scrub or option to add on. Based on their available services, they do not have that option. I became concerned after my pedicure because my tech cleaned my bowl with Lysol spray and wiped it down with a sponge that was put back in a drawer. My tools used were brand new out of a package but only a pumice was used for my feet. The manicure was very basic and knowing they had no scrub, I opted out of the shellac polish and just used my own. I heard various customers say they love the gel polish that is dipped. So this might be the place to go if you are looking for that. I might come back for a shellac manicure but I'm looking for a nail salon I can get all my nail needs done. I won't be back for pedicure. Also to add there was a strange odor when I came in, not sure if it was the fish tanks but it made me quite nauseous. Again if you are looking for good price for a basic mani or gel mani, this might be the place to go. I was looking for more options and cleanliness is a top priority for me. read more

I was in town for work and needed my feets takin care of. As soon as I walked into this place I was greated with a smile and seated as soon as I walked in the door. All the staff was friendly and profesional. Destiny took care of my pedi and let me tell you she not only did a WONDERFUL JOB but she made me feel so comfortable there, being a 6'4 man in a nail shop can be awkward at times to say the least. But that wasnt the case here. If I m ever back in Detriot area I will gladly take the trip from my hotel back to this shop. I received service recently at Natural Nails based on the reviews on Yelp. I did not get a good feeling from my experience and don't plan to go back. Ty and his wife were not that nice to me, another new customer who walked in after me nor their relatively new employees from what I observed. I made it known it was my first time there thinking I would get a smile and maybe extra care for potential repeat customer but nope. HOWEVER, when Ms. Important walked in Ty and his wife both JUMPED and had other employees jumping to service her. It was so darn obvious and ridiculous. I'm relatively new to the area and I was with my previous salon for 17 years but it's too far now. I have yet to find a good nail salon in this area so, I guess my search will continue. read more

I went to this Salon based off of a recommendation from a coworker. Ty did my nails and was nice at first, but started giving an attitude when I asked simple questions (this was my first time at this salon). I had him do dip powder nails but they turned out way too thick! I have had dip powder done many times before so I'm aware that it is thicker compared to shellac, but this was too much. He put four layers of dip on and said he would be able to file it down with the electric nail file so that it would not be too thick. I had to ask him to file them a second time because they were too thick and I received attitude from Ty. Even after the second time using the electric file it was still too thick. The place is also WAY over priced. Dip powder costs $35 and DOES NOT include a manicure. I have gone to many nails salons and you SHOULD ALWAYS get a manicure included if it is costing that much money. A manicure costs an extra $10 and he said he would do the manicure after the dip powder was on my nails (which makes absolutely no sense!) I will definitely not be returning or recommending it to others. read more
