I've been a client of Diana's for about 4 years, and I can honestly say I wouldn't trust anyone else with my nails! Diana is incredibly talented, but what truly sets her apart is her knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to take exactly what I have pictured in my head and bring it to life on my nails. No matter how specific, unique, or sometimes crazy my design request may be, she always understands exactly what I'm asking for and somehow makes it even better than I imagined! But over these four years, Diana has become so much more than my nail technician. She has become a genuine friend. She takes the time to care for me, we laugh, we talk, we catch up, and every appointment feels like I'm spending time with someone I truly enjoy... not just going to get my nails done. That kind of connection is special. If you're looking for someone who is exceptionally talented, knowledgeable, creative, attentive, and truly cares about her clients, Diana is your girl! She puts so much pride and love into what she does, and it shows in every set. Diana, thank you for four years of beautiful nails, laughs, conversations, and friendship. I appreciate you more than you know! 5 stars doesn't even feel like enough! read more

Coming to Top Nails has become part of our self care routine! May does the most incredible job on my acrylics. I let her have artistic freedom every time I come and I have never been disappointed. She is creative and so talented. She also makes the entire experience personalized. Annie also takes such great care of my husband who gets his mani pedi while May attends to me. Annie is thorough and gives great massages (so he tells me!). Every time we come, they remember us and attend to us like family. The customer service is phenomenal. And, I appreciate that when something doesn't go right (like I smudge my nails) they always fix it right away without any fuss. Everything is super clean too, which matters a lot to me. We have gone to SEVERAL other shops in Kaimuki but honestly, Top Nails is superior to the others. I'm so grateful we found them. read more

The salon is clean and all the employees are so sweet! I also like that when they do pedicures, they use plastic to keep the water bin sanitary. Parking is always easy but paid in the lot. I see Diana and she is so friendly and always helps me leave the salon feeling my best! She is great at making suggestions that match my vision but are also are flattering on me and my skin tone. If I'm deciding between multiple colors, she'll also let me try them on my hand before I commit to it which helps a lot! I've chosen colors that didn't look great on me and she helped me find similar alternatives that just somehow worked better! I can't do super elaborate nail designs because of my work but I've seen her nail art and it is beautiful! Prices are also very reasonable. read more

I got acrylic done with Ana and she did a phenomenal job! Patient with my indecisiveness and collaborating ideas with me. I was so sold when she showed me a super glittery line of nail polish. Decides on dango colors for the summer and I feel so cute!! 10/10 would come again!! read more

I got a standard pedicure and a new set of Gel-X extensions. The pedicure was $35 and was a perfectly fine experience. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about my Gel-X set. I asked for a standard almond-shaped French tip set, but the final result was very poorly done and looked sloppy. For the $70 I paid, I was extremely disappointed with the quality and definitely do not feel the set was worth the price. The nail tech also took over an hour to complete my nails--I would say at least 75 minutes--and I still needed to have my toes done afterward. By that point, I had already spent so much of my Sunday afternoon at the salon that I didn't want to say anything and risk being there even longer. Looking back, I really should have spoken up because I was, and still am, very disappointed with the quality of the set I received. However, I also didn't feel that I should have to spend even more of my time at the salon having a $70 service corrected. Overall, while I had no issues with the pedicure, I was very unhappy with the quality, time, and value of the Gel-X service. read more

Ana and her staff are AMAZING! I have been seeing her for years, and I always get compliments on her work. I trust Ana completely. She is the ultimate professional. Her products and her services are top of the line. I usually leave my nail designs up to her, and she never disappoints read more

I usually get my nails done for special occassions. With the BTS tour this year, there were specific designs I wanted and Diana pulled through on turning my vision into reality! I went to two concert stops, so I had Arirang-inspired nails done for the first and Mikrokosmos (space) nails done for the second. I loved them so much!! I got a lot of compliments wherever I went. Will definitely come back again for my next special set of nails. read more

My favorite nail salon that I visit at least several times a year. Facilities are clean and comfortable. There's always a movie playing on the big screen so you'll have some entertainment. I personally get nail services from Diana and love being under her care, talk story, and get pampered by her. I always walk out feeling like I have the most beautiful nails and they last a really long time! Also, pictures don't do it justice - they look so much better irl! read more

Diana and Ana (owner) are so very sweet and accommodating. One thing I loce about Diana is I will ask her advice if a color I want will wash my skin tone out and she will be honest. Good! Expert advice is sound! The space is clean and airy - it does not feel cramped or dark like some other salons I have been in. No shade to others- I just like the spacious feel and it doesn't feel like I am rubbing elbows with strangers. They answer the phones promptly and attentively. Their services are diverse and varied at reasonable prices. I like that their colors in both regular and gel are also very plentiful. Lots to choose from!! My favorite is cats eye gel for toes. If you are still hesitating, don't! Call and make an appointment right away! read more

I have been getting my nails done here for over 5 years, and they never fail to amaze. They do amazing manis and pedis, their service is amazing, and the staff are very welcoming. It's been several months since I've had my nails done, but as always I visited April :). She is the best and my go to! I am constantly picking at my nails and hands, so it's easy to go to places and the acrylics hurt when it's applied but not with April. She is very gentle and aware of this, my hands never hurt or bleed when seeing her compared to other salons. On top of that, she is consistently good at making them look natural and beautiful. Once again, my husband came and had his pedicure with another specialist and was very happy with the service as well. Always 10/10 at this salon. read more

Been coming to Top Nails for nearly 10 years now. That nail shop is a staple in the Kaimuki neighborhood. The staff is incredibly welcoming and kind. Shop is always clean and carefully maintained. Diana is my go to nail tech but all of the girls there are great. The owner, Miss Ana, is incredibly knowledgeable and talented in her craft. She treats all of her workers with the same level of kindness and integrity as her customers. I've moved around the island often in the past few years but no matter where my new place of residence is at I shall always frequent Top Nails. They've never let me down. read more

I have been going to Ana for nearly 10 years (since middle school!) And she has remained the most affordable salon I have ever visted. She and her team always take care of the person in their chair. The service was phenomenal. The manager and staff were super nice and my nails were also done beautifully. I really enjoyed my stay here.

I used to come here before because I knew one of the workers and she was so nice. I took a break for a year or two but decided I should treat myself and was in need of a pedicure. I decided to go back and they were able to take 2 walk ins for pedicure we got the Deluxe pedicure 2. It was very basic and seemed simplified and rushed. I started to get cracky feet which is why I went decided to go in the first place and the deluxe pedicure 2 says it specializes in cracked heels. When you see my feet it doesn't look cracked you can definitely feel it. The specialist asked if I wanted to shave my feet and I said yes (I feel like that's the biggest step to help with "callus and cracked heels") she proceeded to do so but very minor maybe a few strokes on each foot. Ice seen before where they would literally grate the foot to get off all the calluses and cracks (I guess it's different now). She then painted my nails 2 coats but you could still see streaks and uneven color so I asked her to do another. Once that was done she seemed to rush me when no one was waiting and moved me to the fan on the side. She then gave me slippers and said I should be good to go to the car. I was walking very carefully and watched my step. When I got home I looked down and 2 toes were messed up. If they weren't dry why would she tell me I could go (we didn't rush her at all). After all the treatment and lotion I did have softer feet but the 3rd day I could feel the cracks coming back. read more

Unfortunately I have to give this place a 1 star. I feel as though I have been scammed. I payed for a gel pedicure and only after a week the polish on my pedicure has chipped away. I noticed when they did my pedicure they didn't put the gel coat other places put. I didn't think about it much because I knew I was getting a gel pedicure and I figured everywhere is different and probably has their own way to do it . I'm so disappointed. Everyone should beware of this place. I recommend gradient nails on young street. I only came here because they were closed that day and a coworker of mine said she got a cheap manicure here. Sometimes it's better to pay the extra money. I've learned my lesson. read more

Ivy did my gel polish manicure & upgraded pedicure. She did exactly what I requested. I need my Mani color done thick because I tend to scratch my skin & break it. Most nail technicians don't like or understand what I want done so they don't do a good job at that. She also cut down my nails & shaped it like I wanted. Nowadays "they" get attitudes if you want an oval shape or a cut down or they charge extra. She did that with no problems. I wish nail salons in Vegas would be more accommodating like she was. I also have ingrown toenails in both of my hallux or big toes. She fixed both of those problems. It takes a good technician to do this properly & not over-cut it. She also massaged both my hands & feet so good that I fell asleep both times. I really appreciated it. I felt like I went to read more

Consistent work, good customer service, I am pleased with my nails and also my toes...very clean. Relaxing experience, I had no issues.

I dropped by this place a while ago. Hmm, my photo says July 2020. Wow has it been a while! I happened to be in the Kaimuki area after a Massage Envy appointment. Decided to go on a "treat yoself" adventure. And what does a girl need to feel like a pampered princess?!?! Did you answer "NAILS!!!"? Cause yes, that's the correct answer. Of course I pulled up the trusted Yelp app to see nail salons nearby. It directed me to Top Nails by Ana. The reviews were raving and the pictures did not lie, very nice work. I knew it was last minute so I called to ask about the walk in wait time, I was told to head in. When I got there, I was handed a form to fill out about COVID-19 screening questions and had my temperature checked. I walked over from a few blocks away while the sun was right above, so I was super duper hot. I was offered water and given paper towels to blot off my sweat. Very caring and thoughtful. After filling out my form. I was helped right away. I think the tech's name was Kelly. She was very sweet and gentle with my manicure. I opted for the mani pedi set deal where you chose one set in gel and the other in polish. I liked that each station was separated with clear safety barriers. They also had multiple big televisions to watch while getting my nails done. My manicure was in gel and my pedicure was in polish. Diana then helped me with my pedicure. I really liked that the foot soaking tubs were lined with plastic to make it more sanitary between clients. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I was not familiar with the Kaimuki area and asked about different places to eat. She suggested a lot of different places and even the directions to get there. I felt a very kind and genuine vibe from her. I did not plan on getting a mani pedi so I wore sandals that had straps around the nail areas. Diana saw this and offered me some "one time use" pedi slippers and I said yes. They did the job of letting my nails dry more before I put my sandals back on. She even offered me a bag to put my sandals in. Thank you Diana! I really appreciate your kindness :) My manicure lasted a few weeks until it started chipping at the edges. Then I buffed it off myself. But here's a secret okay... Don't tell anybody. You promise? Okay... my pedicure is still going strong on the nails of my big toes, LOL and like half grown out... it's like 3-4 months after? LOL.... shhhhh. Maybe it's that time again for a new mani pedi? *deep in thought emoji* LOL. While I was there, the salon was pretty busy so I think making appointments ahead would be the best way to go. Or call ahead if you're thinking about walking in. I'm not too sure about the COVID-19 procedures now as it's been a while since I went, so double check with the salon. This was a really nice experience and I'm glad my fellow Yelpers helped point me in the right direction for my mani pedi needs :) read more

Stopped by this place again before I left for college and they KILLED IT!!!! I wanted an ombré on my natural nails but realized that it would be easiest to do acrylic to get that blended effect so I chose to do acrylic on my natural nail. Diana helped me remove the nail polish and gave me lots of information on acrylics and how I can maintain it in college if I don't wanna go to a salon to take it off. They even gave me a free filer and some glue to maintain it in college if it starts growing out! Ana did my acrylics on my natural nail and she was so sweet!! HER SKILLS ARE INCREDIBLE!!!! I love my nails and I can't wait till I can come back and go back to this place. This is for sure my go to nail place in Kaimuki!! Workers are super friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. I started coming here about four years ago every time I went to Hawaii my husband thought they did an amazing job so he always wanted me to go back. We visit Hawaii maybe 1 to 2 times a year the first couple times was great. Anna did my nails she was very nice professional And was pleasant to work with my current visit went absolutely terrible. Anna wasn't there. So this other lady did my nails she did not know how to draw a flower. Then another lady walked up, not knowing it was the lady who was going to do my pedicure, but she came up and touched my nail and ruined it so it took longer because it needed to be fixed, and then the lady Who did my feet didn't even give me the wax that I paid for.. I brought my mother-in-law here last time and it cost $140 this time it was just me getting a pedicure and a full set and they charged me $160 like that's pretty expensive! Especially knowing that she couldn't draw a flower, but I still got charged? So disappointing. They couldn't even try and copy photo of what I wanted for my nails. read more
