These are the advertised benefits for this service. I made an appointment and paid a deposit of $17 to make the appointment. Strangely, I received numerous confirmation text messages and phone calls. Upon arrival, I was asked to fill in forms unlike those I have seen in any other doctor's office. This was my second clue that something was fishy. The forms were not written by a lawyer or anyone who knows how to write HIPAA-compliant patient intake forms. They were slanted towards marketing and threats that they had a choice as to whether or not to take me as a client; I had to prove that I needed their services. They asked for confidential health information but said they would not provide any confidentiality and could use information about me and my photos for marketing. I was wondering why a legitimate doctor would not hire or could not afford a lawyer to write these forms correctly, and would not follow the laws about patient privacy. Next, I was moved to small closet/room where I was forced to watch commercials about the services provided at this clinic. These were "conversations" with local talk-show hosts where they spoke with Dr. Oda. They repeatedly called him doctor, although it turns out that he has no medical licenses or education. After being shut in there for 15-20 minutes. He came in to talk to me. He told me that the services I wanted will cost $4000 for 4 treatments, but he was willing to give them to me for $2000. When I asked about the ad that I responded to, he told me that didn't always work the first time. But I was allowed to try it. He spent a minute attempting to explain the layers of skin and mentioning something about stem cells. He didn't really seem to understand it. He asked if I could afford the treatments. He didn't ask about health conditions or in any way appear to care about me, it was all about the money. Basically, that meeting felt like a shakedown and an up-sell to try to get me to use other services for weight loss. I was willing to consider the 4 treatments, if the first one had any results. I decided to try it. For $37 it seems like a good way to find out if it was worth making the bigger investment. For approx. 15 minutes I laid on a bed with something placed on my neck. Afterwards, I was returned to the small room and he immediately asked if I would pay $2000. I was not provided a mirror until I asked whether the treatment had any effect. He said it didn't always work and later treatments could be turned higher. Finally, he gave me a mirror and my neck was exactly the same. I explained that it did not make sense to pay $2000 for treatments that did not appear to work. He kept trying to get me to pay $2000. He said there was a different secret type of laser that only he has that he could use. At this point I almost laughed at the idea that there could be a secret laser that no other plastic surgeons or even med spas would have, that was effective, and only used and known by Dr. Oda. I asked him if he went to medical school. He said he did not. I asked him if he had any medical license in the state of Hawaii. He said he did not. I asked him if it was legal to practice medicine like this without any license. He said that the nurses are licensed and he works under their licenses. He said that he went to Palmer chiropractic school in San Jose, CA. Curious about whether this was true, I looked at the list of graduates of Palmer Chiropractic College in San Jose who work in Hawaii, Dr. Oda is not on the list. I searched the state of California database of licensed chiropractors to see if he was ever licensed there. He was not. There was one Doctor Oda who is now 75 years old and has a Los Angeles address. His license expired and was cancelled in 2012. Basically, it appears that this man is not a doctor of any sort. If he went to chiropractic school, he didn't graduate and was never licensed to practice in California. He is not licensed in Hawaii. Nurses are not supposed to have other people working under their license. They are supposed to be supervised, not supervise fake doctors. Ive read the other reviews where people get benefits from the lasers at this clinic. I am not saying that it is not possible that they work in some cases. I just find this guy and this business very sketchy. I told him that I do not trust him. And I am sharing this story so that other people do not get coerced by his hard-selling techniques to buy services at very high prices.

I thought I can handle that but everything I had listed cereal, fruits, almond milk, ramen, and milk tea all count as carbs- I'm in trouble. Guess what? Diet pepsi is okay. I signed up for an informational session for protein supplements at Kapiolani Medical Center in a few weeks. Then I was set up for next appointment with her, also a separate day to talk to a dietician, need to go take a blood test in two months before seeing her again. I've got my work cut out for me.

We proceeded with a PRP injection, which I learned that there was actual homework/prep work for me to do BEFORE the treatment that the hip MD didn't even tell me about! Such things like stopping NSAIDs, drinking, fasting, etc. to help make the PRP injection more successful. I would not have known this if it weren't for Dr. Ferrante. The injection went smoothly and I experienced significant pain relief. I will return to do the other hip now that I know how successful it is. I know PRP injections are expensive, but definitely worth the price (insurance doesn't pay for them thru a MD anyways). She made me feel comfortable (as comfortable as you can- these injections are sore) thru out the procedure, and increased my trust by providing me with a lot of information about what to expect before/during/after, and of course following up. Of note, when I came in for a hip follow up, she noticed I had a wrist brace on, and took initiative to inquire about this new injury and brainstormed a special taping to help offload/support the area (again, something that the orthopedic PA didn't think about) which also provided more stability/less pain for my wrist. She offered another treatment option for it if occupational therapy didn't help. But this time was different when we're back for our fourth baby. While admitted at The Queen's Medical Center for the birth of our fourth baby, my husband used the hospital valet service on 5/13/2026 at around 11:30 AM as I was going into active labor. Our vehicle remained in valet custody overnight. The following day, Thursday on March 14, 2026, around 11:00 AM, my husband retrieved the vehicle to run errands and discovered that the inside of our van had clearly been rummaged through. Cash and other small personal items were missing. A report was immediately made to hospital security, and a statement was taken. While the amount stolen may be considered minor, the violation of privacy and trust during such a vulnerable and important family moment is extremely upsetting. We understand valuables should never be left in vehicles, but patients and families should still be able to expect professionalism, honesty, and security from a hospital valet service -- especially during overnight stays connected to medical care and childbirth. We hope management takes this matter seriously and properly investigates the incident.

Not too mention the woman the works at the pharmacy. Patient is wheeled to pharmacy and has to wait. Wheelchair leaves. Patient gets meds and is told you have to go. Why the hell do I see my person hobbling out the hospital on crutches? I guess having a joint replaced is t serious enough for wheelchair assist. I will not go here. Send me to tripler.
