My nails are my favorite that I've ever had and if this nail tech was here permanently- I would book regularly!! First off, there's free parking and a lot of it! Beauty Mark is located on the second floor, in the same building as Fujiyama Texas. The building has a lot of... character, to say the least. It may not be polished on the outside but the inside of Beauty Mark felt bright, clean, and comfortable. There is a ton of natural light that makes the ambiance really nice. The bathrooms is a single room, but very clean. Since this spot isn't usually a nail salon, I was the only one getting my nails done in their waiting room area. There was ample space for me, my nail artist + all her supplies, and my stuff. They played local/ Hawaiian music at a nice volume, loud enough to hear but at a volume where you can talk freely without an issue of hearing the other person. I'm not a typical customer of this establishment since I don't get permanent makeup etc. done but I did really enjoy my time getting my nails done here! If Noelle the nail artist does another pop-up here- I would book again in a heartbeat!

However, as I get older, I know I need to take better care of my skin but I don't have the patience. Last year, I decided to microblade my brows because I didn't want the tattooed look like my sister (sorry, Kalei). However, it didn't last long despite my brows getting touched-up twice shortly after. I still had to apply brow shadow. Since last September 2016, I started Crossfit and in July of this year, I began powerlifting. Some days, I don't care if I have makeup and some days I'm coming in straight from the office to train with my mascara (WATER-PROOF) smearing under my eyes, which I wanted to something about it (yes, I'm vain). This is where CJ comes in. I remembered her from the 2017 Crossfit Open and noticed that she is a makeup artist because she helped one of the ladies at Arkaios Crossfit with her makeup for a bodybuilding competition! I started stalking her stylist page on IG and her personal account because I admired her makeup and lash extensions (that's another review in the making). I saw her post on where she got her lashes done and booked an appointment. While I was making an appointment for my lashes, I inquired with the gal if she did powder brow tattooing and she recommended me to CJ! Talk about fate. CJ is one of the brow specialist at Beauty Mark. She also does makeup as well too. I texted CJ shortly after and she was able to squeeze me in the beginning of December. Beauty Mark Honolulu located in the McCully area on South King Street is easy to find. If you're familiar where Pineapple Patio, Beauty Mark is across the street in a building on the 2nd floor. Don't let the appearance of the building alarm you (its circa 1970ish, I think) because once you enter the salon, it's like you're in another world like the beauty salon of Narnia. It's relaxing, clean and the vibe is friendly where you are immediately at ease. For each of their services, they'll have you fill out a form to provide information on yourself as well as consenting to doing the procedures. With CJ, I chose to do the powder brow tattoo because in my opinion from the picture I've seen as well as searched online, it's a softer look of a regular tattooed eyebrows. CJ will work with you on your eyebrows until you're satisfied with the recommendations as well. She'll go over with you what she will do before and during the procedure. She will also take a before and after photo of your brows. NOTE: The procedure itself wasn't painful. Overall, a great experience because of CJ. If you're interested in powder brow, I highly recommend CJ at Beauty Mark Honolulu.

Long overdue review for my favorite brow artist on Oʻahu…read more When I moved back home from LA a few years ago, I was honestly nervous about finding the right person for my brows. Brows are my thing -- the beauty maintenance I take the most seriously outside of maybe my hair-- and I had an incredible brow specialist in LA that I trusted deeply. I kept hearing little bits of BIG praise through friends-of-friends about Brows by Ash, and eventually booked an appointment. Fast forward a few years later, and Ash has become my go-to for monthly brows and lip waxes. She is beyond professional and, in my opinion, the best brow specialist on Oʻahu -- hard stop. What I appreciate most is that she truly listens. She cares about the look you're trying to achieve, supports your brow goals, and will always give her honest professional opinion when needed, which I value so much. Her work is consistently precise, natural, and tailored to your face. Beyond that, she's just a joy to be around -- personable, funny, kind, humble, and clearly someone who takes immense pride in her craft. Her studio is spotless, beautifully designed, and always has great music playing in the background, which somehow makes the entire appointment feel calming and elevated. And as an added bonus, her adorable pups usually greet you at the door, which honestly just makes the whole experience even better. Not sure when she'll be taking on new clients again, but if she is -- get on the waitlist. Truly. Thank you Ash for taking such good care of all of us Hawaiʻi girlies. Xo Zilla

Everything is pain-free and you know she knows what she's doing. Her prices are great for how much work she puts into tweezing and waxing every little hair. The space is conveniently located on the second floor of the PanAm building so there's plenty of parking and it is really easy to find (follow signs for PanAm building annex) and is really cute and super clean! Ashley is really meticulous and wipes and sanitizes everything before each client. Keep in mind she is usually booked for weeks so book in advance on her website. Her space is quiet and soothing and impeccably decorated. Tami quickly cleaned up and tinted my brows - I'm fair/blonde/blue-eyed so the color is always a bit tricky - too dark and I'm Clara Delevingne - too light and I'm, well, invisible brow woman. And I wear contacts so my attempts at "grooming" my brows is actually laughable. I've now got "brow style and color" that looks great all the time! I was so pleased with her brow work that I returned for the lash tint/perm - that's right - I went all out! It was definitely a new experience - lash perming! - who knew? But the end result is AMAZING. I've now got some dark long lashes, great brows and am really hoping she can tattoo my lips (just kidding - I think - is that a thing too?!)! I can now put my hair up and roll out the door in less than five minutes. I'm scheduling my ongoing standing appointments now!

I will never go back to strip wax. Terri has many years of experience and educated me on the difference between strip and hard wax. The biggest difference is the pain associated with wax, and with hard wax - it's a minimum! After my wax, it doesn't even feel like I've been waxed. Apart from the pain it is how the wax pulls the hair so that it gets it completely from the root. After a year with Terri, my hair is growing back less and thinner. Previous to Terri, I was getting strip wax done for a year without the same effects. The best thing about Terri is herself! She has such a welcoming and personable personality.
