My nails are my favorite that I've ever had and if this nail tech was here permanently- I would book regularly!! First off, there's free parking and a lot of it! Beauty Mark is located on the second floor, in the same building as Fujiyama Texas. The building has a lot of... character, to say the least. It may not be polished on the outside but the inside of Beauty Mark felt bright, clean, and comfortable. There is a ton of natural light that makes the ambiance really nice. The bathrooms is a single room, but very clean. Since this spot isn't usually a nail salon, I was the only one getting my nails done in their waiting room area. There was ample space for me, my nail artist + all her supplies, and my stuff. They played local/ Hawaiian music at a nice volume, loud enough to hear but at a volume where you can talk freely without an issue of hearing the other person. I'm not a typical customer of this establishment since I don't get permanent makeup etc. done but I did really enjoy my time getting my nails done here! If Noelle the nail artist does another pop-up here- I would book again in a heartbeat!

I am not one that takes an hour or so to get ready. In fact, I'm one of those ladies that will just…read moreswipe a wet/dry press powder; eyeliner, brows, mascara and lipstick under 7 minutes or less. However, as I get older, I know I need to take better care of my skin but I don't have the patience. Last year, I decided to microblade my brows because I didn't want the tattooed look like my sister (sorry, Kalei). However, it didn't last long despite my brows getting touched-up twice shortly after. I still had to apply brow shadow. Since last September 2016, I started Crossfit and in July of this year, I began powerlifting. Some days, I don't care if I have makeup and some days I'm coming in straight from the office to train with my mascara (WATER-PROOF) smearing under my eyes, which I wanted to something about it (yes, I'm vain). This is where CJ comes in. I remembered her from the 2017 Crossfit Open and noticed that she is a makeup artist because she helped one of the ladies at Arkaios Crossfit with her makeup for a bodybuilding competition! I started stalking her stylist page on IG and her personal account because I admired her makeup and lash extensions (that's another review in the making). I saw her post on where she got her lashes done and booked an appointment. While I was making an appointment for my lashes, I inquired with the gal if she did powder brow tattooing and she recommended me to CJ! Talk about fate. CJ is one of the brow specialist at Beauty Mark. She also does makeup as well too. I texted CJ shortly after and she was able to squeeze me in the beginning of December. Beauty Mark Honolulu located in the McCully area on South King Street is easy to find. If you're familiar where Pineapple Patio, Beauty Mark is across the street in a building on the 2nd floor. Don't let the appearance of the building alarm you (its circa 1970ish, I think) because once you enter the salon, it's like you're in another world like the beauty salon of Narnia. It's relaxing, clean and the vibe is friendly where you are immediately at ease. For each of their services, they'll have you fill out a form to provide information on yourself as well as consenting to doing the procedures. With CJ, I chose to do the powder brow tattoo because in my opinion from the picture I've seen as well as searched online, it's a softer look of a regular tattooed eyebrows. CJ will work with you on your eyebrows until you're satisfied with the recommendations as well. She'll go over with you what she will do before and during the procedure. She will also take a before and after photo of your brows. NOTE: The procedure itself wasn't painful. Overall, a great experience because of CJ. If you're interested in powder brow, I highly recommend CJ at Beauty Mark Honolulu.

Long overdue review for my favorite brow artist on Oʻahu…read more When I moved back home from LA a few years ago, I was honestly nervous about finding the right person for my brows. Brows are my thing -- the beauty maintenance I take the most seriously outside of maybe my hair-- and I had an incredible brow specialist in LA that I trusted deeply. I kept hearing little bits of BIG praise through friends-of-friends about Brows by Ash, and eventually booked an appointment. Fast forward a few years later, and Ash has become my go-to for monthly brows and lip waxes. She is beyond professional and, in my opinion, the best brow specialist on Oʻahu -- hard stop. What I appreciate most is that she truly listens. She cares about the look you're trying to achieve, supports your brow goals, and will always give her honest professional opinion when needed, which I value so much. Her work is consistently precise, natural, and tailored to your face. Beyond that, she's just a joy to be around -- personable, funny, kind, humble, and clearly someone who takes immense pride in her craft. Her studio is spotless, beautifully designed, and always has great music playing in the background, which somehow makes the entire appointment feel calming and elevated. And as an added bonus, her adorable pups usually greet you at the door, which honestly just makes the whole experience even better. Not sure when she'll be taking on new clients again, but if she is -- get on the waitlist. Truly. Thank you Ash for taking such good care of all of us Hawaiʻi girlies. Xo Zilla

The space is conveniently located on the second floor of the PanAm building so there's plenty of parking and it is really easy to find (follow signs for PanAm building annex) and is really cute and super clean! Ashley is really meticulous and wipes and sanitizes everything before each client. Keep in mind she is usually booked for weeks so book in advance on her website. I was super hesitant because I saw my mom do it in the 1990s and she had an allergic reaction and looked horrible for a week. Anyway, I'm getting to the point in my life where my appearance is still important to me, but I just want to look good without putting in too much effort. Yes, I am lazy. Anyhoo Lena was quick to respond to my email inquiry about what type of brow service I should do. I was initially thinking microblading because it is less permanent and seems to be popular these days, however after consultation Lena suggested getting my eyebrows tattooed. I have sparse non-existent eyebrows. I looked totally different with makeup and without makeup, mainly because I had no eyebrows. I would go to yoga work up a sweat and come out looking like a totally different person because my brows would melt off. After getting my brows tattooed, my husband says it looks like I have makeup on all the time, that's how much of a difference it has made. Like he thought I was hot before, but now I'm even hotter because I have nice eyebrows all the time. Lena did a fabulous job. My eyebrows are symmetrical and perfectly proportioned. The process took about 1.5 hours and I felt very little pain. I went back a month later and she touched up my eyebrows to make sure they were settling in well. Highly recommend Lena! Go get your eyebrows done by her, she's truly a professional at the top of her game.

Her high stilettos gave way to her entrance as I awaited my eye brow waxing. I heard it as it met the floor, before my eyes met her Asian brown eyes. When she came walking out... it was like a scene from a movie. In slow motion...I followed those stilettos, to her nicely toned legs, her tight black dress hugged every curve of her body. Just the right amount of bosom peeked out of the top of her dress. Her jet black straight hair glistened in the light. Like an art canvas her gorgeous tanned skin with colored tattoos adorned her body well. Her nice smilingly pearly whites greeted me . Yes, a woman's body is definitely in no competition to a man's. You see in the beginning of time Adam was made of Dirt and Eve was made out of a rib. Before a master piece a draft must be made. I'm a FAN but not of the price! Girls, this is the most priciest eye brow waxing I ever got, 35 smakaroos. I've been to Paul Brown, Wax and Lash bar, Heaven on Earth, Bobbi and Guy, I can go on and on but I'll reiterate that it's was the most priciest. Well, your 1st eye brow shaping is 35 but on the next one it's 25 smakaroos. When you check in 3 times with your smart phone, Yelp application then it's $20 on your 3rd visit. Besides the price I'm a FAN of everything else. Especially gorgeous Lena ; ) I know everything is more expensive in Honolulu. Lena was quite easy to get a hold off. I reached her threw email and she quickly responded. The office is located on the 2nd floor, its above a snack shop. Lena is actually Located in Reneux Med Spa. When you get off of the elevator you can see the spa. (PAID) parking is located right next to the building. When you check in for your appointment they offer you water, coffee, or tea. The office is clean and the staff is nice. I showed a picture to Lena on how I wanted my eye brows shaped. I admit that I don't have much to work with but I've experienced miracles with 2 estheticians who sadly moved to the mainland. I'm willing to pay $35 for a miracle but I didn't get a miracle that day. I wanted an arch, but not too thin. She told me that the picture that I showed that her eyebrow is darkened in by makeup. Lena spent about 15 minutes on my brows. She offered me a mirror to look at my eye brows. I asked if she had any eye brow shadow to darken it in but she didn't have it. Since I live on the Leeward side, I probably won't go out of my way to see her. But if you live on the Honolulu side or work in Honolulu) side then I would recommend Lena. Maybe my eyebrows were just too over done that day I saw her. She is gorgeous, friendly, and professional.
