Very excited to digest extra stuff ... without telling you it'll be extra. "Oh...can I put a flower on one of your nails?" Both ring fingers done ... $25 extra on the tab when checking out. That was by wife. I was talked into a foot rub. As my feet soaked, the sweet woman bright a pedicure tray over. I had to deny three offers to just let her clip my already short nails. Then she proceeded to give a foot rub which consisted of running her thumbs and forefingers along my lower leg bones for 30 minutes. She also gave me a run down on her family and asked multiple questions about how long I was staying and where and what I did for a living. My entire mission while in that chair was to not cry or flinch. When she was done, I felt comfortable concluding she had not one single day of training in massage therapy. My bill was $60. My wife's was $42 for gel plus $25 for two flowers. All in all, we left laughing (and limping), but $150 lighter than when we went in.

This was the best experience I have ever had. The pedicure with Anna was by far 100% amazing. The nails with Nikki were over the top. I received exquisite care from the time I walked in the door. And when I say she has so many colors, she has a whole wall of colors to choose from. And very good quality. Long lasting. This Salon can also do facial treatments, waxing, eyebrows, tinting, etc. They also have massage chair chairs for pedicures They offer water or drinks as you wait- and as you're being taken care of with the type of self-care you choose. The moment that she said she was coming back to work at a new location- you bet. I jumped right on it. Made reservations every time when I leave. They are upfront with the prices and have a menu to select from. Of course you can't be "sketch" that say something crazy like oh this isn't the design or the shape that I want I'm not going to pay. I filled out the appointment request through their website on a Wednesday. The website says to allow for 3 days for a response. I hadn't heard back by Sunday, so I called multiple times; 11PM, 8AM, and 9AM. Finally at 9AM I was able to book an appointment for the following day, Monday, at 6PM, although I wanted to book later. I showed my nail tech my inspo picture and she was able to recreate it perfectly! She gave her feedback around the colors I should use. I didn't know/it wasn't discussed there was an extra charge for using multiple colors ($15). My new gel set was $48 + $25 for design + $15 for color (1-2 colors)= $88. Such a deal compared to prices in Arizona ($100+). A different nail tech completed my pedicure separately. The seat wasn't particularly comfortable or glamorous- it was a pillow atop a hard bench, and the sink was actually a kitchen-looking sink. Nonetheless, my chrome pedicure came out great. Deluxe pedi $67 + $10 chrome + $20 Gel polish = $97. This felt more expensive than Arizona ($70-80). I wore my mani for a month, and the pedi for about 5 weeks; neither chipped. I was shocked that when I had my manicure removed, my nails were strong and healthy underneath! Typically they're as brittle as paper after having gel/removed. I wish we had them in Arizona!!

They had a leaking ceiling and no power. I called Pure Nails & Beauty... they could take me now! Yay! Located inside of Don Quijote (near the entrance, on the right - just past security), there's free, shared parking in the lot out front and more across the street. I was asked to pick a color and have a seat. The water was drawn up in the stainless steel basin already. I held onto the handrail and stepped up, sat down, and soaked my feet... ahhh! The entire process was smooth and efficient! The older woman was pleasant and gentle. She cut off all of the dead skin and cuticles for the basic service ($50 plus tax and tip) and added polish and a massage! Thank you for the convenience! Note: they're open until midnight!

Yesterday, she took care of both my granddaughter and me, and she truly went above and beyond for us. She even stayed after hours to finish taking care of us, and we really appreciated it. She did a beautiful job, and we were both so happy with the service. I honestly feel that Honolulu Nails Salon deserves so much more recognition. We got a pedicure together for the first time three weeks ago in Kaimuki. It was pretty good, but…read morewe had no basis for comparison. Today, we had intended to try a salon at the University Plaza, which is closer to home. Although the sign on the door indicated that walk-ins are welcome, we did not feel that way after stepping inside. My wife asked generally, "Are you busy?" No acknowledgement. Understood there happened to be no free technicians at the time, but the gentleman behind the counter seemed to ignore us as we stood by the door assessing the situation. When my wife turned to exit with me following her, the gentleman finally spoke up and offered, "If you'd like to wait..." My wife responded "No thank you," and headed for Honolulu Nail Salon, a few doors down in the same complex, which she had noticed upon our arrival. As we entered, it appeared they were busy as well, but at least one of the techs sat us both down and started my pedicure. My wife waited a few minutes until the second tech was free, thanked my wife for waiting, and proceeded with her pedicure. She was able to engage my wife in pleasant conversation. Overall, Honolulu Nail Salon offered competent service and better value than our Kaimuki experience. We were both satisfied with our pedicures and foot massages.
