Customer service was great and I was greeted immediately. It wasn't crowded but there was a steady flow of customers while I was there. I ordered the Breakfast Wrap, which was fantastic along with a Granny Smith apple lemonade. I would've never thought to put those two items together but it was easily one of the best lemonades I've ever tried. I had to order a second one when my daughter decided my drink was now for her. Speaking of, my daughter ordered the Nutella Stuffed French Toast and rated it a 100/10. While waiting for my order, I had a chance to speak with one of the head chef's and he told me about the culinary program their offer to teach refugees culinary skills. I loved hearing that tidbit about the shop and found it truly admirable. Overall, my only gripe is the street parking situation can be a little tough but it wasn't too bad on this particular morning. The cook was sitting at one of the tables and the waitress was behind the bar (they don't serve alcohol) hoping someone would come in. There is an upstairs and a downstairs. We did not go downstairs but I'm assuming there are plenty of seats like upstairs. We ordered the hangry breakfast, which came with French toast, eggs and potatoes, the salmon burger and the chicken & waffles. It's a good thing we ordered so much becaus the chicken and waffles only comes with 4 wingettes. We ordered water but were told they were out of ice. Instead my wife ordered a $4 CANNED SODA because that is the only thing they had cold. $4 for a can is insane by the way. Since we were the only ones in the establishment we expected the food to come quickly but that seemed to take 20-25 minutes as well. Our food eventually arrived. The French toast was good. Flavorful but small. Sandwhich bag slices of bread. The potatoes were clearly from the Walmart frozen foot section. The eggs were ok. My wife's waffle was cool however the chicken was BLAND and SEASONLESS. We didn't even finish them. For $18 I expected more. The salmon burger was by far the best thing there. A thick cut of salmon that was flavorful. We should have gotten two of those. The waitress was nice. The food is overpriced. I should have known when we walked in and the place was empty. Not sure how they stay open having brunch without alcohol but to each is own. One and done for me as a neighborhood guy. The food isn't great and the prices are high. No reason to return.

Somehow, I had only been to this place during the winter time, but it is a completely different vibe during the warmer months. My friend and I happen to come during this fashion show event so there were complimentary hors d'oeuvres for everybody present, but we still ordered delicious deviled eggs (I could've eaten a whole tray of them) and had some great cocktails. You know, for the first time ever, I paid attention to a bunch of board games that they have on a shelf. But based on the stuff that's on the shelf in front of them, I am not 100% sure that they are up for grabs, but it still looks cool. Anyone who is in this area should definitely pay them a visit. Each dish had its own unique flavor, but the Chicken and Waffles stood out as a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the Rockfish was incredibly fresh. To finish, I had the Chocolate Cake and Bread Pudding. Both were rich and comforting, and I would definitely order them again. What really made the experience special was the customer service. Provost is an absolute JOY - the ambience, the service, THE FOOD!!! The restaurant accommodated us when we had to push our reservation back and then were very gracious and attentive when we were seated. We went on a Friday night and there was a DJ spinning an excellent set from the 70s/80s/90s mostly. It was a little bit loud, but the vibe was so joyful that we didn't mind. I don't know if the DJ is a nightly feature. My husband had the fried whole red snapper and the garlic spinach. He ate every last morsel, except the one tiny bite I managed to steal. Excellent flavor, moist, perfectly spiced. I ordered the Mac n Cheese balls as an appetizer and the grilled shrimp and cheese grits as my main. The cheese balls arrived piping hot and SO DARN GOOD. Heaven. And the shrimp and grits were also delicious. The shrimp was perfectly cooked - not rubbery or tough at all. I took some of the grits and one cheese ball home so that I'd have room for dessert. Opted for the caramel drizzled cheesecake. Perfection. Provost feels like you're walking into your best friend's house for dinner and maybe a little partying, too. It was a wonderful introduction to the neighborhood- can't wait to go back!
