Under table
Lynn K.

Went there and haven't been in a while on a Sunday night. Was seated right away. First thing I do in restaurants look under the table and that was strike 1.....debris, food, etc. definitely a turn off . When the waitress took our order we specifically asked about the honey mustard dressing and if it was SPICY. She said no. We asked for the salad to come out BEFORE the entree.... ready??? She said I'm gonna have to ask about that because they come together. I am not sure what goes on in the world today, but every Restaurant will serve you your salad first... lo and behold, the salad came out with different dressing on it and Yep, the honey mustard was spicy. Strike 2. Next , ordered a burger and asked if I could do an " even swap for the fries." Once again she said sure and rambled off lots of choices. Bill comes up charge for the " even swap." Hmmm maybe I need to bring a dictionary the next time I go to this restaurant for the words "spicy and even" strike 3. Thank goodness 1 entree was done somewhat correct... the grilled steak was not hot. Lots of other places to choose from. The funniest part is when they want you to TIP AFTER the taxes and give 22% or higher. Not sure when everyone is breathing in the air, maybe I want it too.

I LOVE the Spicy Tuna Roll on the happy hour menu.. especially the crunchy onions on top

We visited Tommy's for happy hour recently it's a great place with excellent happy hour specials! We especially love their drink specials and their bartenders make a fab Blood Orange Manhattan.. and two of my fave things on the happy hour menu are their Spicy Tuna Roll and their Garlic Flatbread.. this visit we also had the sliders served with their homemade chips yum! If you're looking for a good local spot with a nice casual atmosphere check it out!

So Tommys used to be our go to spot, especially when they first opened the last couple of times we went service, especially at the bar has declined. We sat down. They were dirty dishes, and glasses. We had to ask the tall older man bartender to remove finally, he did and Windex the top then we had to ask for drinks then we had a call back to get a menu. I noticed people to the left and right of me. We're also complaining my biggest concern was I order the same thing all the time the grilled buffalo chicken salad instead of fried all I do is ask for grilled every time it comes out different. I really have no plans to go back there again. We didn't complain to anyone we paid our bill and left very disappointed. I definitely see a decline there and I'm not sure who's running the show but they really need to pay attention.‍

I loved the Pizza Alla Russa. I opted to get it without the pecorino and really enjoyed it. The texture and sauce were outstanding!

First time visiting a Tommy's after recently seeing them pop up all over. Well I loved everything about it and only wished there were one closer to my house. We met my sister here over Christmas break. From bevs to food to service to atmosphere - this place has nailed it. So much so that I recently visited another Tommy's and plan to keep trying them all till I find my favorite. We really enjoyed all the amazing dishes you'll find in the photos. Our waitress was fantastic and I regret I can't recall her name. Overall amazing experience and will def return to this location.

Cubano

Really extensive menu with lots of great options - there's something for everyone: whether that be pizza/flatbread, salads, sandwiches, larger entrees, shareable apps, and even sushi and poke! The Cubano was a large portion but the sandwich was largely the bread but still very enjoyable. I switched out the kettle chips for an arugula side salad which I really enjoyed; it had marinated artichoke, Parmesan, and grape tomatoes.

I arrived a bit too early to check into my hotel, so, I decided to find a place to grab food in the area. Tommy's was very close and had good reviews, so, I went to check it out. I arrived about 2pm on a Tuesday, parked and walked inside. I asked the host if they had free WIFI which they confirmed. I then asked if I could be seated a little out of the way so I could get some work done while I had something to eat. They were friendly and helpful and since it was after the lunch rush and before the dinner rush, it was not very busy. Besides me, there were a few tables seated and a few people at the bar. They seated me in a booth a bit of the way and provided me with the WIFI details, which I appreciated. I quickly checked out the menu and decided to order a pizza and a drink. I then ran out to my rental car to grab my work backpack and laptop. I was able to easily connect to the WIFI and had started to work when the pizza arrived. The pizza looked fabulous and I grabbed a slice. The pizza was a thin crust, but it was just what I wanted. I proceeded to eat about a third of a medium pizza. It really hit the spot and I was able to catch up on work. As I was finishing up with my work, I asked my server if I could get two to-go containers that I thought would fit into a hotel fridge instead of a pizza box. She returned with two plastic containers that I thought would fit perfectly. I packed everything up and was on my way. The place has a large bar area with a lot of TV's throughout. I could see this as a great place to grab a beer and watch a game. I looked up Tommy's online after I left to find out a little more about the restaurant. I was surprised to find this is a small chain which has about 13 locations primarily in NJ with one in NY and one in DE. This was a great experience and again, this would be a great place to grab a beer, pizza and watch a game. Highly recommend!

I haven't been here since this was a Zinburger, stopped in for a lunch and grabbed a quick bite. Big bar, and seating around tables and booths; the booth was comfortable enough. Sushi, pizza, salad, and sandwiches, a mix of stuff that mirrors a bit of our cafeteria, ironically, but more expensive. The sandwiches range from $17-22, come with fries. I had the Tavern Dip, which was ok, their take on a French Dip sub - size was ok, $24 ($22 on the online menu so that's maybe old or the salad was a couple extra dollars instead of fries?) and came with fries (though I'd asked for a salad) which made it very filling; I even took some home. They brought the salad over after apologizing for getting it wrong. Salad wasn't too tasty for a caesar, I suspect not enough dressing as it was definitely more on the lettuce side. Fries were good crispy and fresh. Service was friendly and though they managed to get the side wrong, the food itself was ok but I can't really fathom spending on a $20+ lunch every day for sandwiches or a burger... definitely something I'd come back for maybe a dinner or something with folks another day as the beers seem reasonably priced. Parking lot had a few people driving like they were on fire, but that's NJ for you... always in a rush. Note our split bill had the suggested tip as for the whole bill at the bottom of the slip, so be aware of that when you aim to tip that you are calculating for your portion (or covering for the whole bill).

Tommy's is my favorite place to go. Great for happy hour after work or lunch on the weekend! I got back from vacation on Saturday and stopped by for dinner on the way home because I didn't want to be bothered with grocery shopping/cooking. We got the shrimp tacos from their specials menu and a favorite - the meatballs!

Not bad. Not great. Good pub food. You know the type. Seems like a big social hang for a young crowd. Plenty of parking.

So my team and I went for a group dinner were we showed up around 7:30, and were seated within minutes. one round table in the back for 6! Outside a guitar player was singing and strumming to some favorite tunes. Nancy our server came over and took our drink and appetizer order and highly suggested the garlic bread! We ordered it covered in Mozzarella. So good and warm out of the oven! Then I went with the 1/2 wedge salad with the right amount of everything. Followed by the Ribeye with Arthur potatoes and a side of cream spinach and cole slaw. For dessert we had the home made Peanut butter pie smothered in chocolate. At the table was Flounder, the Rubin and a delmonico. plus one of the Special filet mignon skewers. What a great meal after a crazy busy day!

We ordered: - Farmers onion soup - Mussels with white wine sauce - Delmonico steak with Arthur's potatoes and hot pepper - Filet mignon with mashed potatoes and asparagus The onion soup was very flavorful as was the white wine sauce that came with mussels. Portion sizes were large and hearty. Both steaks were ordered medium and were cooked to perfection. Service was phenomenal. Every table was taken care of quickly. Would recommend for a fun night out with friends or family.

We were welcomed quickly and the host (maybe Fredy) wished her a happy birthday and provided us our choice of seats, as we arrived early around 5:00 p.m. and there were plenty of tables available. We chose a beautiful table away from the window, ultimately the place was full when we left around 7:00. As the waiter quickly approached us, we realized that Chef Fredy maybe his own worst enemy - this is the kind of restaurant that Chef Gordon Ramsey would be frustrated by, as there is a very large standard menu, a separate specials menu, and then the waiter read us off a series of other special items that were available that night. My wife and I looked at each other wondering how one restaurant could execute with so many food options, but on the night we visited the chef did a wonderful job. My wife and I shared the stuffed mushroom appetizer which the restaurant kindly divided and served individually. It was quite tasty and delivered hot fresh out of the oven. I had the shrimp and scallop pasta which was very flavorful with a large portion of seafood and perfectly prepared pasta. We had no room for dessert, but we were offered a gift card to revisit the restaurant next time, since it was a birthday celebration. The service was a bit inconsistent - it was wonderful up until the moment the food was delivered, and then we kind of felt ignored afterwards. I'm not sure our waiter came back until about 30 minutes after we finished our meal, just to deliver the check. It seems that he was multitasking, since as we left I saw him folding place settings into freshly clean napkins. For those of you who cannot find a parking spot on the street (like us), there is a public parking garage right around the corner, or you can valet park at the hotel right across the street. With an average price per person of about $75 along with a small credit card surcharge, this is a higher priced venue. That said I would highly recommend you to try Chef Fredy's.

The restaurant itself was clean and it wasn't busy when we got in, but certainly by the end of our dinner! Our waiter explained the specials they had for the evening, and they had some interesting meats you don't typically see on an everyday menu (bison churrasco and ostrich). I ended up getting the bison and my boyfriend got the steak au poivre. The bison was okay, but the chimichurri on it was so good! The steak was really good as well, and it was a pretty sizable portion. Overall it was a good experience and what we expected. It's BYOB and there is a liquor store right next door if you want to pick up a bottle. The staff seems to be super friendly and the restaurant has a lot of regulars, which is always a great sign!
