me and my mom wanted pedis so her husband recommended this place since we are not familiar with the area. if now why they got 2 stars from me: - when we showed up it was pretty much empty. the owner greeted us but wasn't really personable overall. his wife, i think, was more pleasant but still felt a little distant. to be fair, we did come towards the end of the day. even so, if they were that exhausted and unable to provide the same customer service, i would've rather they not taken us as clients because it really did affect our overall experience. - Tommy was doing my pedi and it took him 15 minutes to get off his phone to start my pedi - me and my mom had gel polish on our toes, and both him and her used the nail sanding machine thing to take the gel all the way off (red flag); they also had the machine on high which is painful when you're going over a nail repeatedly. me and my mom both asked them to turn it down a little as it can damage the nail. - when i asked him to turn the machine down, he turns it off completely and starts peeling the gel off with clippers (even redder flag). i felt it was passive aggressive because i asked him to turn down the sanding machine. he asked if it was "better" but i stated he could've used the machine to take the top layer off before soaking it off with acetone. he never did that. - they never asked us what type of pedicure we wanted. i didn't even know there were different types offered until half way in the basic pedicure. when we asked for a list to the difference in price/services, they didn't have one but they could "tell us what they are" (really red flag). i like to see what im paying on a list/menu for so it doesn't feel like you just made it up. anyway halfway through we decided to the get ultimate deluxe. i had cucumber and my mom had the honey blossom. - my toes were not shaped well. not only did i notice but the wife did too. before i could say anything she offered to fix it but the damage was already done and it was only so much she could do without making my toe nails shorter. - our service came with a paraffin wax and when i tell you the wax barely covered the bottom of my feet... when me and my mom mentioned it they said this amount was standard and that it's only meant to cover the bottom of the feet. i have had many pedicures at many different places so i know that's not the typical service. whole hands and feet are covered, not just palms and soles. - i asked for milky white and instead got this odd translucent gray-white on my toes. at this point i didn't even bother to mention it because i had made up in my mind that this was my last time coming. i think they noticed we felt a little frustrated because at the end of our service they perked up and cracked a few jokes. but it was too late. i wish them well in the future, but nothing wowed me. read more

Um yes! First off did exactly as I asked and they came out really nice. -in my opinion- I prefer short nails but stiletto which is hard to do. And they accommodated me after 5pm for a brand new full set. It's also a plus, not to be that person, but their English was impeccable and spoke it in front of me unlike other establishments. Got the worst gel manicure here.. my nails came out sloppy, too thick and lumpy. I didn't notice until I got home. The nail tech i got was the older lady. She was nice, but was too rough. I'm not the one to make a scene, but I spent $50 getting a gel manicure and pedicure done for it to come out looking like it was done by a 5 year old. On top of that, she got gel nail polish all over my finger tip, missed my whole nail. I always wanted to check out Tommy's but now I know better. One thing I regret is not thoroughly checking my nails before I got up and left my seat. These people have zero customer service. Their attitude is ALWAYS as if they dont want to do your nails or feet. I have given them many chances because this shop use to be one of my faves. But I dont like the way I feel when I'm in there, and that's not how you should feel while getting your nails done. Tommy comes off as miserable, he barely speaks to you and listens to podcasts on his phone (in a different language ). In fact none of them speak. Today it was 3 customers there and 3 staff and the room was in complete silence, no music, no TV, no friendly smiles or conversations. The person who does the pedicures is HORRIBLE at painting toes. He did my nails crooked and tried to tell me it was because my ginger is crooked as If i dont get my nails done all the time. Just lazy and rude. The place is dirty and raggedy as hell. I got there @ 9:00 in the morning I sat there while the owner slurped on his breakfast soup. 15 mins went by before he sat me in the pedicure chair with old red sheets for seat covers. But I'm always satisfied with my nails and pretty much everyone there does a good job on them. The employees are super nice and the prices are good. No complaints. This place is dark, dirty and the woman owner is very rude and unprofessional. I popped in Tommy's for the first time to get a mani/pedi. The woman prepared the water too HOT, then she seemed puzzled about the steps. When I questioned her about a step that she had skipped and questioned her work, the female owner said " she is new, she has to learn". REALLY, she has to learn on me? A paying customer? Shouldn't she already know how to do a pedicure if she is working there? After explaining she was new and needed to practice. The very rude female co-owner who at the time was having her nails professional done by the other owner "Tommy" say's to me "we won't charge for the pedicure". So next I move to the work station of the person that is supposes to do my manicure. I figured, things can't get any worse, right?. Well, I was wrong. I guess the woman giving me a manicure was learning too. My manicure was horrible! When I was ready to leave the rude, female owner stopped getting her nails done by her boyfriend (co-owner) long enough to take my $30.00. $20 for a horrible pedicure that I was a "guinea pig" for that she said she would not charge for and $10.00 for the horrible manicure. I didn't argue with her, because I sensed that it was the type of low life nail shop that doesn't care what happens, they just want your money. read more

This has to be the worst, most dirty and unprofessional place I've EVER been to get my nails done. It took 2 hours to do JUST a lousy manicure, I ended up leaving and saying to forget about finishing my manicure and leaving without my massage after getting gel polish.. I left with gel polish all on the sides of my nails and on my cuticles.. because it was "too late" for gel nails and couldn't use polish remover to clean it up. The guy who did my nails is slow af, and horrible. When I went outside to tell the owner "Tommy" how unhappy I was with the service and my "manicure" he said "Come back tomorrow and we'll fix" REALLY? I just sat here for 2 hours for JUST a manicure and I have to come back??? All the while I'm standing inside talking to him outside while he's smoking a cigarette not giving af.. Thinking as unhappy as I am and a first time client, he would offer SOME TYPE of DISCOUNT, he charged me $25 for a manicure..I asked him why $25 if his manicures are $10? I pay that when I get a full set!!? And my manicure is HORRIBLE... if it was decent then okay... but no. I'm embarrassed now with these nails, you'd laugh and say you paid for those?? If I were to post a photo.... I'll be damned if I go back there tomorrow to have them "fix" my nails and sit there for another 2 hours for them the ef them up again? Anyways...
