However, my daughter made reservations for 3 mani/pedis in the wrong location(Sandlake). it was too late to change locations so we went. I will only tell you about my nails, but all 3 were terrible. My nails look like duck feet. they were uneven, thick, wide and, overall, just terrible. My pedicure was ok and that's the only reason I gave them a 2 star. Came here later in the day when they were about to close. They provided such great service and great conversations. I came with two other girls who were getting fills and I got a full set-- they finished within an hour and half for all three of us! My nails were done by Phillip, assisted by Kim. They were so lovely and fun to talk to.. I'm definitely coming back! I wanted something natural and sheer because I work at a hospital, and he delivered exactly what I wanted. This is my go to spot now for my nails. Phil always hooks it up. I walk in and I'm warmly created by him and his wife Kim. I usually never have to wait long. All i have to do is show Phil a picture and he's gonna make it happen! He works very quickly and efficiently without sacrificing the quality of work. They are a very nice couple and do a okay job on nails I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he used a sponge instead of powder you can see bubbles in my nails and when I asked if he can paint over it he said no it won't look nice it is not what I wanted the lines a little messy, when I asked to add something he told me no its fine as it's.He charged me 80$ for something I wasn't confident in and wouldn't normally pay that amount. also cut my skin and pulled a hangnail . Everytime I tried to come to this place and get a pedicure, they're always super busy, and dont have time for me...which was fine, that shows me that they do a great job. So, in managed to come in early today, and made an appointment for this afternoon. They have a pedicure menu to choose from, laminated. I'm impressed. I got a spa pedicure with gel polish. Kim, who did my feet, was a very jicelady, has great hands, massage was on point, and I felt relaxed and at ease. Kim and her husband, Phil, own this place, and run a pretty nice tight ship. I've been coming to Phil and Kim for 12 years. I moved out of Fairfield 8 years ago and travel to come to them every two weeks. From the moment I met them they made me feel at home. Phil has an amazing sense of humor so every appointment is fun and full of laughter, Kim has such a sweet and caring personality, she is very gentle when doing pedicures. Phil does an amazing job on nails. He always gives me what I ask for and if I don't know what I want he always gives me a beautiful design with beautiful nails. He always fixes anything that gets messed up or breaks without hesitation. I've always been treated with respect and a welcoming attitude. Kim does a great job on waxing and pedicures. I have been a customer at MC nails since 2008 when the original owner "MC" was working at this location. Since Phillip and his family took over, they have really improved the place and made "MC NAILS" one of the top Nail Salons in all of Fairfield. Everyone is so sweet, the atmosphere is clean and decorated very nice for a Nail Salon. It's becoming a Salon and Spa, and I'm excited to see how much more they improve their business. Phillip is so very talented and his personality is humorous and witty! He only hires the best, and wants his staff to be able to create artistic and perfect nails and designs that are just as good as his own work. MC Nails stays busy because Phillip is a nail master, the wait sometimes is long....but if you want perfect nails it's worth the wait! Worst nail experience I have ever had. I called ahead of time to make an appointment and still ended up waiting 30 minutes. I asked how much it would be for a fill for a gel long nail coffin shaped manicure and was told it would only be $30 unless I want do a design. In the end he said that it was 45 dollars then charged me 46 dollars when I tipped him in cash . The owner put pink powder on some nails and white powder on other nails. So I was unable to do the light pink clear set I wanted . He then fixed a broken nail crookedly and they were many bumps and marks on my nails the painting was messy and it looked like I needed to get a fill. When I got home the nail polish started chipping and falling off and I went back the next morning and he said it was my fault. I tried explaining the details to him he didn't wanna hear it I ended up waiting another 30 mins. Then he started to to yell at me in front of other customers because I asked him to fix something and was mad that I said I wasn't going to pay anymore because he was trying to charge me more. His designs are the best I've ever seen. Other manicurist's have commented on how beautiful the nails are. The prices are a bit high but you get a unique experience. If you go to get a full set and don't have a lot of money, Phil will fix your nails and tell you to pay him back on your next visit. The owner is very rude!! Seems to have an entitled attitude like he thinks he runs the best nail salon in the world. Seems a bit racist. Was not at all pleasant or helpful and his tone paired with lack of eye contact are the reasons why I will never be back or recommend this shitty place to anyone. I understand it is COVID time but you can run a more professional business to keep and bring in new clientele. Why not have a damn appointment list of some kind if capacity seems to be only 1 person at a time ? Then you can inform people beforehand of 10 minute grace period if the person doesn't show up before moving on to the next person. That would make too much sense!! Let me keep my ideas to myself!! Instead he tells you to come back next day blindly, like what if it is the same thing ?!?!? It was even his worker that was kind and told me to come back after the person they were working on.. then his dumb self co-signed, again no clear set time!! Came back.. working on someone else.. did not take my name or phone number or anything or set a real time. He was very rude and condescending upon my return.. telling again with no clear time.. come back after the person if you want and no waiting around due to COVID. Keep your hard earned money. I have been going to Mc Nails for about 3 years now , and I can honestly say they are the best in fairfield. The owner Phil is verrrry reasonable and works with whatever prices, I do no have any bad things to say about the employees at Mc Nails. They are very SANITARY and your nails will always come out very beautiful. . I have not had to do a new set of nails in about 6 months, and even then i do not need a new set I just do it. My natural nails are very healthy and the acrylic used does not hardly lift . . So if you're in town go to Mc Nails and you'll be saticefied!! Yeah there's a little wait because EVERYONE in fairfield cannot fit in one nail shop ... =) that says alot if everyone comes here and there's about 14 nailshops in fairfield..
