Vee has been doing my nails for some time now and she ALWAYS does an AMAZING JOB! As do the other ladies in the shop. The shop looks super cute now, Vee has put a lot of work and upgrades into making the shop look more up to date and organized. I made a same day appointment and got a dip powder manicure and standard polish pedicure. Something that I really appreciated was that they carry the exact same color for powder dip, gel & polish so I was able to get the same color for my hands and feet. Stepping foot into this place I was definitely pleased with how very well kept and clean this place was. As the previous reviewer mentioned about not finding a single trace of nail dust that you can find usually in other places I can say it was pretty spotless. I came in wanting desperately a mani/pedi and so it shall be received. Definitely got what I wanted plus more!! The spa pedicure included the massage chair which was absolutely awesome because it worked at various intensities working all the way from the shoulders down to the lumbar region along with a little vibratory action in between. That was by far the best type of massage chair I've sat in as I'm getting my toes done. All the staff here are very welcoming and IMO you can't go wrong with anyone here. I got Tracy and she did such a good job from start to finish. Very meticulous, never rushed the entire time and makes sure everything is alright from the temperature of the water to making sure I was comfortable and relaxed. (which is always an issue for me) In short, the nails are looking good and just ready to be shown off. If you want the mani to last longer without the risk of chipping and make the nails longer and stronger might I suggest the shellac process? (for a few dollars more) It came out beautifully. Standard mani/pedi is $30. A bit more for the shellac process or addition of a nail design and whatever your fancy. They also do the other standard nail services such as gel, acrylics and they definitely have a selection. read more

Low quality nail tips. 2 of mine broke within one week, and one of my nails, which had not broken, got INFECTED from their unclean materials. They filed my nails almost down to the skin, and their tables are covered in dust. They do not keep their files or other utensils clean in the least bit. Very, very low quality. LOVE this place! We just moved to Fairfield and I was looking for a place to get gel nails. I totally lucked out-- I've been here twice and haven't been disappointed. Both girls did a great job, though I'd give the edge to the second girl...it's been over 2 weeks and my nails haven't peeled. The only reason I need to go back is because I'm not used to long nails. Service is quick and pretty attentive. I'm used to Asian nail salons so I'm okay with them just talking amongst themselves and not asking me how my day/week/month/life is going. I didnt like the way they did my pedi bc they were very aggressive and NOT relaxing at all. The girl that did my shellac did a great job except she kept trying to take my hand out of the light before the time allotted and if you dont do it right it doesnt last. The french looks amazing on me, i spent $111 on 3 mani pedi and one shellac! They do not sanitize their tools in the machine i saw her wash it with a brush- i didnt see them put it in bags to put in the sanitation box. read more

I went in with acrylics and wanted to take them off and put dip on my regular nails, they only charged me $40!! They're all very nice and welcoming and want to make sure that you like your nails. This review is solely based on Tammy! Whom I had the pleasure of meeting (: 0900 on a Saturday, I was pressed with time & couldn't wait till my usual lady in the mall opened. I called to see if this place was busy since everywhere else that opened early was booked till 1200, but they told me they had an opening for mani / pedi. Once I arrived, I was greeted by Tammy (although I didn't know that was her) since she noted she hadn't seen me before & asked if I was a newcomer. She made the water for my pedi a really nice temp cas I usually enjoy hotter spas. She definitely took her time during the pedicure & her massage was great! She also did a wonderful job of painting on my toes, she didn't miss any spots nor did my nails looks crooked or anything! My manicure wasn't bad at all but fairly basic. She did a quick hand massage but filed my nails down perfectly! My work limits how long I can have my nails but I also don't like super short nails either. The paint job was decent, she did cover all areas of my nails. So far it's been 2 days & I haven't experienced any chipping. The early hours make it convenient if anyone needs it done fast! I am so put off by the lack of professionalism and the way that Fantasy Nails treated me as a customer today. I've been a customer of Fantasy Nails, specifically of the nail technician Thao since 1997 when their original location was over there by Dave's Hamburgers in Fairfield, they're under new ownership/mgmt now, but I gave them a shot and figured I would continue to go to Thao because she does a good job. I called on a Thursday afternoon at 1:07 I have a screenshot of the time/call log on my phone and I let the lady know I was running late and I would be there in about 9 or 10 minutes & that let Thao know I'm on my way. I showed up at 1:20 and the lady who took my call looked at the clock and it was 1:22 on their clock (I showed her the time on my cell phone, which everyone knows...sets itself, so no human error)... so I was, even according to her clock on the wall, maybe 5 more minutes longer than I had said on our call...cuz of course I can't predict traffic or stop lights, but they went ahead and took somebody else anyway. I had a mani and pedi appointment and I wouldn't have called and said I'm on my way if I wasn't going to show up. I get there and Thao is with somebody else and I asked "Is someone else going to be able to take me because I called and said I was on my way?" and she said "oh well you took too long, we were busy." I told her I've been coming here for years... you guys know I'm going to come or I wouldn't have called and said I was on my way. I said you literally heard that I was in a hurry you could hear street noise because I was driving, so you know I'm on my way. I told her that was very wrong so I told her I wasn't going to come there anymore and I left. I called to speak to the owner and she couldn't take my call I was told. I told them that I will be leaving a Yelp review so the owner could read my complaint. The lady simply said go ahead we can Yelp too. Then she hung up on me. I wasn't going to bother calling back, the professionalism clearly isn't there. They don't even care that they treated a customer the way that they did & just lost a long time client. A customer that's been going there since 1997, it's 2018, that's a very long time for a customer to be loyal to a business. So I'm extremely upset because I made this appointment at the end of last week and have been waiting to get my nails done on my next off day. The only reason I was even late was cuz I couldn't find my keys. I literally showed her that I was using a key fob that the car dealership gave me because I couldn't find my actual real keys, I was using my spare key. So that really made me angry that after all this time...every time I go I spend $55 to $60 in that place. I'm extremely upset and I hope that nobody goes to Fantasy Nails anymore because the only reason I continued to give them my business was because of Thao, who only works Th, Fri and Sat, so it is hard to get my appt. with her to work into my schedule. Ever since her husband doesn't run/own the shop anymore and they're Under New Management, I've seen different people in there complaining and upset and I just kept going for Thao. I guess it was only a matter of time before I was mistreated too. They run a lousy business, so if I were you I wouldn't give them your business. If you're reading this review go somewhere else because they don't deserve your business, not after the years of loyalty that I gave them and the way that they treated me. I didn't simply not show up or was late...I had an appt. and I called to say I was running late, but that I was on my way. I live in town, so it wasn't going to be long. I suggest you give your hard earned money to a business and professional people who will value you as a customer. I plan to. I have been going to my same hair lady as well for years. When and if I am ever running behind...I've called & she waits. I wouldn't have expected anyone to push other appointments back, I simply would have just gotten the nails done and rescheduled the pedicure. She claims they were busy and that's why they took somebody else, but they couldn't have had another appointment at 1 because I was the 1 o'clock and I had a pink&white powder fill manicure and pedicure scheduled, so that would take at least 1.5 - 2 hours so they could have still did my nails & I would've been fine with rescheduling my pedicure if needed. Final advice: Don't give your business to this place. They haven't earned my money & there are so many places actually making an effort to satisfy clients & earn your business. I plan to simply ask my friends who they go to...that's how I found Thao many years ago. read more

Fantasy Nails is the same as Hair Place Plus. I walked in on a Saturday for a mani and pedi. They only have 3 spa chairs and a couple seats for manis. It took about an hour for me to get seated. The pedicure is great, and it includes a scrub which most pedis don't include for the price of $20. The mani is $10 and she did a pretty good job. I came out with no complaints besides the wait time. They don't make appointments unless you're requesting someone specific. Definitely will be returning. read more

Ive came here before but I stopped because they started being sloppy with acrylic nails and I found cheaper places who did them just as good. I came back just to see if they changed and I needed a pedicure quick. They still have a pretty decent color selection but the pedicure wasn't as good as it was before. They don't massage you're feet as much as other places do it just and that's my favorite part, It felt like they were pretty much just rubbing lotion on your legs. I went here for the first time on Fri Jan 12 when I found out my nail stylist, Vi, had recently started working there. The salon has everything all the others have, prices are competitive, and I thought all the ladies were very nice. The salon is neat and nicely decorated. Vi is VERY talented and really does an awesome job. My nails are always perfectly shaped for my fingers and the treatment lasts two weeks or longer.
