I really like this place! The AYCE sushi is decent quality, and the price point is great! The spicy tuna pizza is my favorite by far, with the crispy rice and spicy tuna. The servers came by to check out waters and take our order sheets often. The place was pretty busy but there's a lot of seating so you can always sit down right away.

Our son wanted sushi for his birthday, so we took advantage of all you can eat lunchtime option. The four of us sat down and started ordering which led to no issues. I wasn't really in the mood for sushi so I opted for a few other side items. My husband said his steak hibachi was very good, and my son enjoyed his chicken fried rice. I opted for steak curry that was horrible. I don't know what type of curry that's supposed to be, but it was more like a funky butter gel mess. We end up going through four sheets of all you can eat, but I did not receive two of my orders of sushi. Overall, it just wasn't the best experience, but who's to say we won't try it again.

This is the paren restaurant to ajisai. Will always love this place. The only annoying thing about this place is the parking, but it's downtown ‍

Came to Nebraska for a work trip recently. When I landed I was craving sushi and thought this ayce spot would scratch that itch. It did not. For the record, the food itself is not bad. Sure, the sushi uses filler (higher rice ratio, using cucumber or avocado or tempura to bulk up the fish) but that's not uncommon for ayce. Some of the sashimi was also still semi-frozen. What really bothered me was that I was not given all that I asked for... when it comes to sushi I can definitely put some rolls/nigiri away and would be fine in a situation where if I was unable to finish my food I'd pay the remainder. Maybe I just had bad luck?

I was really craving sushi and haven't had any sushi ever since moving to Omaha so my partner and I decided to try out this all-you-can-eat spot! We got seated immediately, which was nice and our waiter gave us a quick and thorough explanation of how ordering works. The sushi here was just average. The fish didn't really taste that fresh and some pieces were even chewy, which seemed questionable. I was also surprised at the rice-to-fish ratio when I saw how thick the sushi rolls were. I wished they put less rice in their sushi but maybe that's their secret to getting you full faster since it's all-you-can-eat. The one dish I really liked though was their spicy tuna pizza. I would go back to this place just to order that to be honest Overall, for the price you're paying for ($25 per person for dinner), this place is just alright if you want sushi. Since it's unlimited, you can't really complain much about the quality, but for me I don't think I would go back here.

Great sushi and the best all-you-can-eat spot around! The Mexican roll is my favorite--fresh, flavorful, and always hits the spot. Highly recommend!

A good deal for AYCE sushi during lunch. Although the sushi overall was good, the fish to rice ratio was off since there were lots of rice for sushi rolls, but it was expected for AYCE sushi. The yam tempura roll and the spicy tuna pizza were underrated. The shumai and the gyoza were alright. The chicken katsu with sauce was delicious and crispy. The rest of the sushi rolls were delicious. There's a call button if you're ready to order at your own convenience. Overall, this place gets 4.5 stars for reliable service and delicious food, just that the fish to rice ratio was a bit off. We had the Mexican roll, Shrimp tempura roll, Alaska roll, Crunchy roll, Yasai roll, Oshiko roll, salmon nigiri, white tuna nigiri, mackerel sushi, and spicy tuna sushi. There were claw machines in the restaurant which was unexpected.

I came here for the first time last week for dinner. It was around $30 so if you don't wanna spend as much I'd recommend going for lunch. The appetizers are really good- we got the mushroom tempura, vegetable tempura, gyoza, and chicken teriyaki. The gyoza was my favorite. The quality of the sushi isn't that good but it's all you can eat. Service is alright but there's a button at the table to call your server over when you're ready to order more.

I'm updating this review because of a recent visit again and after being at more sushi places in the area. I'm sorry, but the sushi isn't really good here. Even relative to the area. I really hope people don't form their opinions of sushi based only this place. Just an example, there was a roll with shrimp in it, and it was cooked shrimped but it was cold and tough If this was a general Asian food place with sushi just as an option then maybe I'd rate it higher cuz the other food isn't bad. But it's a sushi restaurant. It's cheap and AYCE, but even then the rolls just weren't good. The service was good and attentive, the inside was spacious and nicely decorated, but that doesn't really make up for the fact the main draw, the sushi, is subpar

You don't have to order off the train and they have a good sized menu. Unfortunately, as I said, what I did try off of the train was just okay, and I wouldn't rush to come back in.

We walked in at 5:15 PM, sat down, and the place was packed within minutes. Not an empty seat in sight--good timing on our part! Our server greeted us quickly, and after a quick look at the drink menu, we went all in with water, Coke Zero (YES, a Coke Zero establishment!), and a cocktail--the amusingly named Sex in Okinawa. No regrets. As the sushi train made its rounds, we grabbed a crab rangoon. It was tasty but had cooled off from its little journey, so we opted for a fresh batch from the kitchen. The spring rolls? Crispy, hot, and on point. I did have to ask for sriracha a few times (our server kept forgetting), but to be fair, they were busy, so I didn't hold it against them. One thing we noticed was that some of the sushi rolls lacked descriptions. A tiny sign with ingredients would be helpful. I am a sushi newbie, and I wasn't about to roll the dice on a Volcano Roll without knowing what was inside. For what I did try: California rolls - classic and exactly what you'd expect. Sexy jalapeño - surprisingly good! (If there was fish in there, I didn't notice.) Tempura sweet potato roll - crispy, slightly sweet, and a winner. Pro tip: They offer a veteran/military discount, but double-check your receipt--ours wasn't applied at first, but they fixed it without issue. Final bill: about $68, and let's be honest, a good chunk of that was drinks. Not bad for a fun dinner out! Would I go back? Absolutely. There's plenty more to try, and the atmosphere makes for a great night with friends. Final Verdict: Worth the ride!

If you're feeling indulgent, splurge on the sake pairing as well to truly round out the experience. Service is always excellent and the hidden door entrance starts the night off right, letting you know from the start you are in for a treat. If you heard about a sushi omakase place in the middle of America, what would you think? I bet…read moreit's probably not fresh-tasting raw dishes or wow-level sushi omakase. But there is a James Beard-level recognized chef here, in Omaha, that is delivering fresh-tasting raw and other omakase dishes week after week - geography be damned. His name is David Utterback. It's incredibly difficult to get reservations at this eight-seat omakase called Ota. Moreso than any omakase in my hometown on an island in the middle of the Pacific. In fact, I dont think he needs this review - the best don't need to advertise. I also don't think we have a sushi chef here in Hawaii that is as nationally-acclaimed as Utterback. So we were very interested to try. And we were very lucky to get reservations. I dont think there is a parking lot for this restaurant, which is tucked within his also highly-regarded Yoshitomo restaurant. So if you from Hawaii like me, and get lucky with the reservations, gotta roll da dice on parallel street parking. That's code for come early ;) (parking is free in the area) W-h-e-n you do arrive at Yoshitomo, there is a small - hidden - waiting area within Yoshitomo where you will be asked to wait for the omakase to begin. The dark photo with the lantern and Ota sign is in that waiting room. - And frankly - That's all that needs to be shown in a photo cause the omakase course itself varies depending on chef's tastes and what's available that week. The courses we had will likely not be the entirety of the courses you have. But the rice might be the same. There is a special black vinegar that chef uses to add to the rice. Ask him about it. There is a whole story behind it ;) So my photos are small in number. They are the highlights of our experience and what stood out to me that is beyond anything I've tried in Hawaii or elsewhere (including the black-vinegar sushi rice) Enjoy - cause we most certainly did :)
