I like their appetizer duck confit so much! It was savory, tasty, and crunchy! I also enjoy their Fuego Chicken Ramen. I don't eat spicy food a lot, but for me ramen tastes best spicy! Service was great, our waitress checked up on us enough times while letting us enjoy our meals, and tended to other patrons as well. Ambiance was really nice because they played hip-hop music and occasionally play Anime. Yummy! If I lived in Omaha I would eat here everyday! I loved the design of the menu and the variety of choices is great. We shared the Kimchi Tempura which was super yummy. The miso sauce added something special. We also each had the Don Salmon which was still good despite the fact that they were out of bok Choi and didn't tell us until the food came and didn't sub in more cucumbers or another veggie. terrible experience. the server and cook were nice but management was absolutely garbage. i ordered tokyo guacamole with chicken skins and the 68104. my chicken skins came out by themselves, the ramen made it out before my appetizer was served. i was then informed the new cook didn't know how to make the guacamole. i was asked if i wanted something else or have the item taken off my bill. my meal was already there so i said taking the item off my bill would be fine. 15minutes or so go by as i'm almost finished with my meal and they send out a bowl of guacamole. i was then asked again if i wanted it off my bill because they hadn't removed it yet. i said yes, beings i thought it would be an appetizer and the skins they served it with were sitting on the counter for 20minutes while the cook learned the recipe. the server didn't have the authority to take the item off and called management. the management then told her they would not take the item off because they ended up making said item. i said nothing about my hard noodles in my ramen and was polite as could be. this was probably the worst experience at a restaurant i've ever had and will not ever eat at an ika ramen again. this was absolutely ridiculous. read more

I enjoyed the flavor and textures of this dish. The fresh veggies gave a little crunch, the pork belly gave a little chew, and the rice gave a nice softness that absorbed all the juices and mayo. . I didn't love the veggie gyoza. The description said they were packed with veggies. The reality of mine were empty little deep fried dumplings with no flavor other than the flour based wrapper. I'm not sure how long Lucky Tiger has been around, but I'd somehow overlooked them in the past. We stopped here for appetizers one afternoon and tried the spicy cukes and the buffalo cauliflower. The cukes weren't what is expected (I typically see Kimchi presented differently) but they were good. Probably not my go-to appetizer, though. But those buffalo cauliflower wings were amazing! Way better than my homemade attempts ha. They weren't as spicy as the cukes, which was a relief to me. The texture and breading we're spot on. We came in last night for a friends birthday, it was actually a very nice spot for all 9 of us to go. It wasn't very busy on a Thursday night. Our server was nice. We ordered a ton of food. I had the chicken lettuce wraps which had a lot of heat, almost too spicy for my liking but I ate the whole dish. The lettuce was more on the limp side for wraps but I ate with a fork. I'm so glad I made a stop here. The food is not as pretty as other sushi restaurants, but the nigiri I had was so tasty. In addition to the food, the house sake was very smooth and didn't have that nasty aftertaste kick that a lot of sake has at other restaurants. I'm a huge fan of Ika and Ika San Ramen, so I was pretty excited to hear about Lucky Tiger opening up in Blackstone. A lot of their menu items are the same as their other restaurants, but this particular location has sushi. First of all, I love how each restaurant is different in their own way. While the other ramen places are dark and more intimate, Lucky Tiger is bright and open. You still get a similar vibe as from the other places, especially with the awesome graffiti art on the walls. The food here is also just as delicious. My friend swore by the Tokyo Fried Chicken, and he was not exaggerating. I've never had anything quite like it before! As for the main dish, I decided to go for the Fuego Ramen. It lives up to its name well. My mouth felt like it was on fire, but I couldn't stop eating it because everything tasted so good! The fried chicken skins were a really nice and unique touch. I continue to be impressed by the food served by this group. It can be a little on the pricey side, but that's not super surprising for ramen. I would definitely recommend stopping by on a cold winter day to warm up with some delicious ramen! read more

Solid ramen and very similar to Ika/Ika San (same owners). The menu is slightly different than Ika; there are a few less ramen options and there are more sushi options at Lucky Tiger than Ika. I would define Lucky Tiger as an Asian fusion restaurant more so than exclusively ramen. Overall, I had a good experience here. The apps/small plates are always tasty at Ika and Lucky Tiger was no different. The Brussel sprouts were very flavorful and I enjoyed these. The pork buns were better at Ika in my experience- the pork itself had a nice crispy texture but it lacked much substance and was missing any fat. The egg rolls were tasty but I would skip these next time; not the best value but still flavorful (lots of ginger). The ramen was comparable to Ika; different broths/meats. One thing that was missing here at Lucky Tiger was a lack of pork shoulder for the ramen. My girlfriend liked some of the pork shoulder options at Ika and there wasn't any here. Still, the Niku Udon was tasty and I enjoyed it (the udon noodles seemed thicker than normal udon, not sure why). The ramen was plentiful as always and could probably be shared. One of the things I was looking forward to was trying the Peking Duck. I saw this offered on the facebook photos and was very intrigued; I haven't found many places in Omaha offer this. All in all, I was really pleased with it- the crispy duck came with several steamed buns and hoisin and making your own sandwiches is a very fun thing to do in traditional Chinese restaurants. Of course this is not super comparable but this was still a great dish and a fun one to share. The duck itself was flavorful and juicy and I enjoyed it. Could have been even a bit greasier/fattier but still good. All in all, I had a good experience at Lucky Tiger. I think that this is a good change of pace from Ika and probably caters to a few more tastes for those who don't really just want ramen. Expect to pay about $20 per person overall with your main dish + an app or so (just for food). read more

Excited to try this new place in Blackstone, and would go back if I was in the mood for ramen. The major drawback is price point and atmosphere. In Blackstone, there is so many phenomenal choices and this place just doesn't jump to the top of the list. The ramen bowls run in the $15 range, as do most of the rice bowls. The appetizers run in the $5-$14 range. I tried the Blackstone tonk ramen, mongolian beef bowl, and sticky buns app. The ramen was good, but it just seems a bit overpriced and it was way over the top on salt. Ramen is always salty but this was on a different level. Mongolian beef was sub-par. Waitress was new so ordering was kinda rough, but she did her best. Tables, menus and seats were kinda sticky and dirty. I ordered the chicken buns but they were just... not good at all. Couldn't eat more than one bite. Tried my date's ramen and it was ok but unbelievably salty. The worst ramen I've ever had. I got vegetarian ramen that had absolutely no flavor. The mushrooms were not seasoned, the tofu was just plain cubes of very firm tofu. The mushrooms were like chewing a rubber bouncy ball. The broth was like consuming a slightly salty water. Wanted to order a side of a sauce to make it edible but we didn't see our server for roughly 15 minutes after our food arrived. My friend got the vin diesel which she described as "drinking oil". It was also flavorless and terrible. The steamed buns were yummy though. If you come just avoid the ramen at all costs. And the consensus on the sushi was good. This used to be me and my partners favorite place but I think it's gone a bit downhill. I understand being understaffed and also having brand new cooks but the cook had no clue on how to make the recipe we had ordered. My rice bowl I recently had had little to no flavor and felt just like veggies and rice. The salmon poke bowl I had was also lackluster. It had little to no sauce and when I asked for some on the side they said they were out. It was a bit awkward considering it was supposed to be in my poke bowl. The buns are steamed perfectly and the lettuce and cucumber were fresh. Kimchi was a nice touch added to spice up this dish. When wrapped all together, the buns were one of my favorites in Omaha. Would prefer it over any lettuce wraps. The tuna tots were amazing. The crunch of the deep fried rice balls pairs perfectly with the smooth fresh tuna taste. Food quality has unfortunately gone downhill since opening. While at the beginning the soups were rich yet well balanced and the noodles on point, the broth have become bland and the noodles very soggy. The worst disappointment is the Blackstone tonk, which used to have the particular garlicky tonkotsu flavor but now its almost inedible as the noodles are poor quality, the broth waaaay too fatty and overall flavor decreased. This is a new restaurant to the Blackstone area. It's in the location where Forno used to be before it closed. We were impressed with their food selection. I ended up getting the Bukakke Bowl. This dish has pork belly, sticky rice, kimchi and other delicious morsels that when combined provide an excellent flavor profile. There is a good amount of spice and heat in the dish without it becoming overbearing. My husband got the Mongolian Beef - also a bowl with sticky rice. Between the two we thought the Bukakke Bowl was the better choice. We also got the pork belly bun appetizer. One order comes with 2 pork belly buns. These were good. I come here semi-frequently because I am OBSESSED with the fried brussels sprouts. They are seriously one of my favorite foods I have ever eaten. Perfect texture with just a little bit of crispiness on the outside, drenched in the most delicious sauce. I dream about them. The Tokyo fried chicken and pork belly steam buns are also excellent. Moral of the story? Don't skip the apps!!! I'm not much of a ramen person, but I do enjoy the rice bowls. My go-to order has become the "Bukakke Bowl" (really weird name for a rice bowl, no explanation for that one) which I love all the flavors of. My only complaint is that the chunks of veggies tend to be really large. It's difficult to get multiple ingredients in a single bite because the pieces are all so big. I ordered online and was patiently awaiting my notification on my phone of my food being ready, it never came so I went and checked and of course my food was just sitting there cooling. I had the Bukkake bowl which despite its name was darn tasty. They did not provide any flatware so I walked back over and they only had chopsticks to offer me, I'm no pro but was able to get food into mouth. Overall the food as previously mentioned was darn tasty but the price tag at over $20 with their "convenience tax" and such just seemed a bit unreasonable. I also cannot say the food was good enough that I'd go back. It just was not really my cup of tea, I'm sure others may enjoy this quite a bit. read more

The location is smack dab in the middle of Blackstone which has developed into quite the spot in the metro! I can't remember what Ramen I opted for, but it was spicy and had Nashville hot chicken and avocado. The food itself was alright but the wait to order was nearly an hour. Once our food arrived at the table, they informed us that one entree (the poke bowl) was unavailable- but they did not inform us in time to allow that person to order another entree. The restaurant was severely understaffed for a Saturday night. From the time we walked in to the time we signed our checks, nearly an hour had passed and one member of our group had no food. read more

Placed an order on a Sunday night, they quoted 20 minutes, and it was exactly 20 minutes. Everything after that is where it goes wrong. Our bag was stapled shut, so we didn't open... which admittedly, was our mistake, but I guess tipping $10 doesn't warrant a double check by the employee checking the bag. We get home, and we're missing my wife's meal. So we jump in the car, and head back. We call them on the way to let them know they messed up. It was lettuce wraps. We were missing lettuce wraps. That is an item where everything is already made in the kitchen, and the entree is just assembled. We were told it would be 30-40 minutes to get our lettuce wraps because they were too busy. They wouldn't do anything to adjust it. Rather than giving priority to the order they screwed up, they were going to service every other order the had received since. I asked for a refund instead, and asked them to refund the $10 tip, and the convenience fee they charge for ordering online, they said they could only refund the food. Speaking of convenience fee... EFF that! You don't need to pay someone to take my order, instead it's printed out, with no mistakes, nothing lost in translation... this is beneficial from a quality control and a cost of goods sold standpoint. Screw you for charging your customers for making your job easier. Next time, I'll call it in, take up your employees time, and slur my words while I'm doing it... actually I won't. I was in town visiting and stopped here for lunch with a friend. It was really cold inside so I asked for hot tea but they only served cold tea. I mulled over ordering ramen or the cauliflower bowl. I figured I could go wrong with the cauliflower bowl so I went with that. I was totally wrong. Our ordered took forever and we were the first of 4 other people to arrive. The chef seemed to prepare the meals individually/ I was pumped to get my food but when it arrived I was disappointed. The cauliflower was almost raw, not tender fried bites. The sauce was super super heavy on the mayo so everything else tasted like mayo. I eat mayo but I don't want my entire meal to taste like mayo, gross. I've never had bad cauliflower bites but that bowl was the worst. I wouldn't recommend it. The server was nice and the restaurant was cool; can't say the same for the food. read more
