Chicken Fried Rice and Crab Rangoon
Payton W.

Got takeout here for the first time. Loved the large portions! Crab Rangoon was pretty good. I tried the Chicken Fried Rice which was good. Not a whole lot of flavor but it's one of the simpler menu items so I'll have to try something else next time to compare!

Menu

We love the peanut butter chicken and sushi. And it's usually never overly busy so you can usually walk in and get seated.

Let me tell you this place was not what we expected! I thought it was hibachi only but their sushi is definitely a hidden gem! We went twice in a week just so we could try more from the menu! We had a few different apps that were all so great! We heard the shrimp shumai was a must so we grabbed those, pork gyozas, salmon sashimi, and their salmon tartar. The salmon tartar was my favorite thing we tried! All so good though! For rolls, we accidentally got all shrimp tempura rolls the first time so we tried some new ones the 2nd time. We had the Spider Roll, Manhattan, Omaha, Mango Tuna, and the Rock n' Roll! I think we loved the apps more than the sushi because of the variety but overall this place was great! Also a great place for non-sushi lovers! I tasted the hibachi and LOVED it! The place was a nice environment and SUPER attentive staff! Wow! I had forgotten if I had tried HF before but now I'm sure I won't forget. I don't eat sushi but was in the mood for Chinese and decided to order Delivery from HF. I got my two favorite Chinese dishes, Mongolian beef and Almond Chicken. They were both incredibly tasty and affordable! I usually like almond or cashew chicken with grilled chicken but HF came breaded and I actually really really enjoyed it. It wasn't heavily breaded to the point you can't taste the chicken, the sauce was really flavorful and just enough crunch with the almonds and water chestnuts to not make it so heavy. The Mongolian beef was also delicious. I've had some seriously bad Mongolian Beef in my days and this was one of the best I've had. You can tell the quality of the meat was good and even in delivery everything came nice and hot. Thank you for an incredible meal. Fantastic prices and great food! Will definitely order again.

Couldn't decide whether to give 3 or 4 stars. While my food taste good neither my soup or main came out hot. The hot and sour soup taste great but was luke warm. My Mongolian beef also seemed like it must have sat back in the kitchen as it always was NOT hot when it came out. But like the soup had good flavor. Server was very nice. So I gave it a 4.

Delicious, fast, and economical! Everything I watched come out of the kitchen looked delicious! From the Thai entrees, Chinese, sushi, appetizers and soup! They were fast!!! Good portion sizes! All of the b fries were fresh and perfectly done. The soup had good depth of flavor (Hot and Sour). There were both booths and tables. They refilled water and stayed on top of the guests while being moderately lunch rush busy! I will return!

Great little spot. We had lunch and a take home order of Hot and Sour soup. Our waitress Joellen was very helpful and offered great service. The food was really good but not hot enough. The soup we took home was better that evening because we heated it to a proper temperature. The soup served at the restaurant wasn't very hot.

I love the remodel! This place is really nice inside. There's plenty of tables & booths so we didn't have a wait during our lunch visit. Our wait staff was quick to take our order & we started out with soup, which I had Wonton soup; that I thought was the best I've ever had! The noodles are large square dumplings that has tender meat inside. I ordered a few sushi rolls for their lunch special-3 rolls for $14 & includes soup! My favorite is their Spider roll. Their rolls are filled pretty big-definitely a mouth FULL!! My friend ordered a chicken & rice dish that she said was very tasty. I seen big pieces of chicken & lots of veggies. When I go back, I will try one of their chicken entrees & for sure get some Wonton soup!!

Particularly enjoyed the light and fresh taste of the khaleesi. The bites were really the stars, my personal favorite was the foienagi. That was divine. No other words. Had to circle back for seconds on that one. The prairie tuna was pretty good as well. Now, the whole experience to this point was good but dessert put it over the top. The cheesecake. The word I used in the moment was sublime. And I stand by that. Special shout out to Aurora on that one. Speaking of, the service was top notch! Highly recommend sitting at the bar as that just added to the experience for us.

While not the best I've had, it was definitely good and I would go again! I wish I had gotten to try some rolls, but went purely with nigiri and sashimi this time around as I think that's the true tell of quality for a sushi restaurant. Favorites of the night were the tenzushi (sweet shrimp), hamapon (hamachi sashimi) and the uni. The Hama toast is really popular here but I wasn't expecting the bread to be soft - I think if it would have been crunchy instead then I would have loved it. The service and hospitality were outstanding - our server was kind enough to gift us the ume hirame to try and it was one of our favorites of the night. The shisho with the fluke made such a clean and refreshing bite. The chef also shared his chu-toro from his private dinner the night before and it was delicious as well. Don't skip their drinks either - the ube drink was so good that I had to order it again.

(although I think the fish is cured to retain freshness) We ordered a couple rolls, but mostly stuck to the nigiri. The Hama toast, prairie tuna, and yaki gindara were all ono. The yaki gindara tasted like butterfish sushi, but with sablefish rather than black cod. Also, the rice used for the sushi tasted similar to the rice used in sushi in Hawaii. We also tried some of the yakitori - grilled meat on sticks. I strongly recommend the tako yakitori. I'm not really into tako poke (Hawaii dish), but this tako with that miso panca sauce is super ono. Full of flavor with a touch of spicy. I could eat that all the time. The five-spice old fashioned they have is also delicious. Service was excellent for us. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself has a/c and gives an izakaya vibe familiar in Hawaii. Also, I saw people come in with t-shirt and shorts for dinner. So I guess there isn't really a dress code here. As others have mentioned, Koji is a sister restaurant to Yoshitomo, and the menus of both restaurants do overlap to a degree. However, Koji has MUCH better parking than Yoshitomo. Trying to find parking for Yoshitomo or Ota can be a pain since it's all street parking. Koji is in a strip mall with its own parking lot (free parking too). I will definitely return here whenever I'm in Omaha.

If you heard about a sushi omakase place in the middle of America, what would you think? I bet…read moreit's probably not fresh-tasting raw dishes or wow-level sushi omakase. But there is a James Beard-level recognized chef here, in Omaha, that is delivering fresh-tasting raw and other omakase dishes week after week - geography be damned. His name is David Utterback. It's incredibly difficult to get reservations at this eight-seat omakase called Ota. Moreso than any omakase in my hometown on an island in the middle of the Pacific. In fact, I dont think he needs this review - the best don't need to advertise. I also don't think we have a sushi chef here in Hawaii that is as nationally-acclaimed as Utterback. So we were very interested to try. And we were very lucky to get reservations. I dont think there is a parking lot for this restaurant, which is tucked within his also highly-regarded Yoshitomo restaurant. So if you from Hawaii like me, and get lucky with the reservations, gotta roll da dice on parallel street parking. That's code for come early ;) (parking is free in the area) W-h-e-n you do arrive at Yoshitomo, there is a small - hidden - waiting area within Yoshitomo where you will be asked to wait for the omakase to begin. The dark photo with the lantern and Ota sign is in that waiting room. - And frankly - That's all that needs to be shown in a photo cause the omakase course itself varies depending on chef's tastes and what's available that week. The courses we had will likely not be the entirety of the courses you have. But the rice might be the same. There is a special black vinegar that chef uses to add to the rice. Ask him about it. There is a whole story behind it ;) So my photos are small in number. They are the highlights of our experience and what stood out to me that is beyond anything I've tried in Hawaii or elsewhere (including the black-vinegar sushi rice) Enjoy - cause we most certainly did :)
