I wanted to try something different so I ordered the spiced seafood dynamite letting the waiter know I had a dairy and butter intolerance. He assured me this meal would be OK for me to eat. When I was served, it looked creamy, but he said it was egg whites with olive oil making up the Aioli sauce, so I dug in! It certainly was tasty, but half way thru I felt uncertain about the ingredients. It was not a good experience once I got home. I knew it did not agree with my stomach. Such a shame. Came in for a lunch service recently, and it was completely empty. It was around 1:30pm. We started with the shrimp app. and I didn't care for that. Our food order took 15-20 minutes which I think if the restaurant was busier would have felt normal, but I don't know why it felt like it took forever. When it arrived, it was very good. Pad Thai typically has thick noodles, these are super skinny, but there was a lot of chicken so I appreciate that. Overall a decent experience, but we've had better. read more

It's a corner suite in a shopping strip. Clean dining room with white tablecloths, although customers wore athletic wear. We skipped starters and went straight to the entrees. The complimentary roll and butter was tasty. I ordered the seafood gumbo with fried rice (no egg, vegetables, etc.). The spice level was 7 out of 10. It was tasty but I wish the sausage was cut thicker. Service was a lil slow but the server was very friendly and attentive. My friend had Chinese fried rice with chicken. We enjoyed the shrimp with firecracker sauce, our only complaint is that there should be at least 4 or 5 shrimp vs the 3 they cut in half. My husband ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and LOVED it. It was still delicious the next day when he warmed it up for lunch. I ordred the shrimp lettuce wraps as my meal which normally would have been perfect, except the portion size seemed to have gotten smaller (I didn't even take a pic) and the lettuce cups were definitely smaller than what they used to be. I hope thet rectify this as I know things are expensive, but that's no reason to skimp on portion size and not adjust the price to a lesser amount. read more

Went for the cashew crusted salmon and it did not disappoint! The presentation was fancy and the flavor was a sweet savory teriyaki! I will say it did take about 40 minutes to get our food but it seemed they were having a private party behind the gold fake wall so that may have influenced the wait time! My friend and I had lunch at the Wave Bistro for our 2nd time. First time was amazing! This time very below mid! We ordered two appetizers. The Firecracker Shrimp was just as amazing as the first time we had it! The Fried Calamari however was gross! Each ring was uniform in size. No tentacles. Pretty sure we were served pre-frozen, store bought calamari. It was also very rubbery. Couldn't finish it. For my friend's entree, she ordered the basil crusted chicken with a mango purée sauce. As she cut into the chicken, the breading slid off the meat exposing grill marks. The texture was also gummy and soft. We think this was pre-packaged and frozen as well. Mango sauce was cold and slathered on the plate. I felt it should be warm like the chicken. Her chicken in comparison to my crusted chicken breast that I ordered. Chicken was crispy yet juicy with normal texture and no grill marks! I feel this restaurant is pretty pricey as is and to not have 100% freshly prepared food isn't acceptable to me. There are many restaurants with better quality food made fresh and for less. Mind you, I will pay top dollar for fine food but when it isn't quality, I can't justify that. I was lucky enough to visit with the chef and was told it utilizes 3 separate cooking methods for 1 order of Salmon. Regardless, let me tell you, it's out of this world good. First of all, It's a giant slab of salmon. Thick cut and the fillet takes up some serious real estate on top of a bed of rice. It has just the right amount of teriyaki sauce that gets drizzled on top to provide some sweet salty flavors. The Wave's menu is filled with Asian fusion fare and some interesting items that you would not expect to find in your traditional Asian foodie place, such a gumbo or crab cakes. I went in to Wave Bistro and told the host verbatim- "Hey my wife is currently teaching a class next-door and I don't want to be disruptive so would it be OK if I used your restroom?" If they had said something like "no it's only for customers" I would've been fine with that answer but instead... I was interrogated by the host. First I was asked "Well are you going to smoke in the bathroom?" Then came "You are not going to write on the walls are you" 1- You are a restaurant in a fucking strip mall so you may want to get off your high horse. 2- What was once a good possibility of me becoming a customer (since I'm near your business multiple times a week) is now a possibility = to 0 because I will never spend a dollar in your establishment. If that is how you speak to someone who asks you a question politely- why would I support your business? 3- Anyone who planned to do anything bad in the bathroom would have said the same thing as me (no), so why would you even ask such a stupid question?! read more

The food was good and the staff was nice. But my favorite part was the rolls, they where the best I have ever had I my entire life, and mixed with the butter is a recipe for heaven. The atmosphere is friendly, clean, and a little more formal (not that you have to be dressed up). There is something for everyone, even those who may not think they like Asian fusion. My mom and I enjoyed our meals. We each had our own pot of tea, which is served in an adorable tea kettle. I had shrimp pad thai, and my mom had a beef noodle dish; both were delicious. Wave Bistro always has good food, I have been there a few times. We have a friend who is on a restricted diet, & we were grateful our waiter & her assistant were patient & kind. Our food was delicious, though there was some confusion about the restated order. Unfortunately we had a reservation for seven (7), one cancelled on the way to the restaurant, the other after we had been there for a while. Now, I don't know how many tables they have, maybe 12 - 15, but I do know there were six (6) in use that day. I was surprised when the owner came over & scolded us for not rescheduling or reporting the change in guests earlier. She was really unhappy her six (6) top table was set for seven (7) & only five (5) attended. I tried to explain, but she was in a real tizzy until my finicky friend reported her order was wrong, then it was settled, she fixed the order, forgave us for our slight & we had a great time. We will visit again, everyone has an off day, but I will make sure the number of guests is exact. read more

Just had a late lunch here with my husband. Very upscale feeling, beautiful decor. We were made to feel very welcome without being crowded. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the hot and sour soup, and crab rangoons. All entrees come with a soup, egg drop is the other option or salad. Entrees were tempura flounder and cashew crusted salmon.
