This place is so gross now and it's depressing. I LOVED this place back when the stern older Korean lady was running it. The food was always fresh no matter what time of day you showed up, and it was consistently yummy. This place got me through the 1st trimester of my pregnancy in 2019. For some reason I forgot to upload my photos, but I think you can see from my photos the differences too! We went here all the time living in Bellevue. Skip forward to 2025 and I drove across town to here here again craving some good Korean food. Oh how sad I was. The newer photos are from August 2025. I arrived at the end of what should have been the lunch rush but the food was obviously old. Not to mention basically cold. The only truly hot thing was the crab rangoon I got instead of an egg roll (my request). The food is no longer good. Apparently the older lady retired and sold to someone else. They claim to be using the same recipes, but it doesn't taste the same. Everything seems more sugar and bland at the same time. The sesame potatoes, which were my favorite thing here, are gross now. The cucumber kimchi is SWEET. It isn't supposed to be sweet y'all. Everything seems extra "Americanized" now. The portions are still huge, but the price now matches it. There are better and more authentic Korean restaurants in Omaha than this place now. Hard pass. I hope she's enjoying her retirement at least; she earned it! read more

I hadn't been to this place in probably more than 10 years! I saw an article in Omaha Magazine about the owner retiring and decided to stop by while I was in Bellevue. The staff was super friendly and I would say pricing is decent for the double meat combo that comes with veggies and noodles, potatoes, and an egg roll and crab Rangoon. It really is a great value for your lunch or dinners. There are a ton of options for you to choose from as well. We thought the noodles and beef bulgolgi needed a bit more flavor and the chicken skewer was a bit overcooked but we enjoyed everything else on our plate! The spicy potatoes are undercooked, the beef short ribs are dry, the sesame potatoes are off, and worst of all... the egg rolls are no better than any other cheap Chinese knockoff. We heard about this little place from my son's friend and wow, it was authentic and delicious. We came here as a group of five and the food was piled high. I will have to take pictures next time. I was last in line and when I got to the table everyone was almost done. The lady that greeted us was the owner and served us faster than any fast food restaurant. I just want to start off with saying this place holds a special place in my heart, as it was the first ever restaurant I've ate in Nebraska! The combo special I added in the photo takes me up to two days to comfortably finish it! That's how great the portions are for only $15.99! I usually order Combo#1, which is the same thing but only 1 meat and 1 cold veggie instead of 2 per each for the Combo#2 special. I like Hanim, the owner and server of this restaurant, as she is able to accommodate your needs to what you want out of your meal. If you want to eat for one, she'll recommend Combo#1, but for two meals, of course Combo#2. I would say the neighborhood is very lucky to have this place. There is a sweet Korean lady and her husband who run the place and she is making all these dishes that are top notch. When you go into a Korean restaurant and you see a sweet little old Korean lady in the kitchen, then you know this is going to be legit. Ordered 2, 2 item combos and the food just fills the containers so you're getting your money's worth. Choices of protein were plenty and many other side dishes as well. We ordered to go and took back to our hotel in midtown and the food was still hot and delicious. I also wanted to order Jjajangmyeon noodles, but was told you have to place that order in advance because it needs to be prepared. This is how you know this place was legit. Everything was good and I will say the egg rolls we had were one of the best I've had. My mother cooks Chinese and Vietnamese food and makes dishes better than most restaurants and makes good egg rolls, but this was better than my mother's. I was born and raised in the bay area, so good Korean food is no stranger to me. This place is a great little treasure for the area, I hope the people here appreciate how good the food is. Since bought out in July, this has gone downhill and fast. The Galbi (beef ribs) which was a staple, is now just burnt rubber. The egg rolls which were made by hand, are now the egg rolls you buy at cheap fast food Chinese restaurants. Food in general tastes bland. The Ahjuma spoke good english and wasted no time asking me what I wanted. Bulgogi and and galbi. Each combo came with a fried crab ragoon and 3 choices of veggies. Bean sprouts, radish, braised potato, kimchi, etc... The galbi was slightly tough but still savory and delicious in a braised brown sauce. I kid you not, I ate one and half of the other boxes right there in the car. Was I hungry?! Yes, but hunger doesn't justify scarfing down half my food reserve for the plane trip. Anyways, at the airport. I opened the other half of my food. An airport worker drifted over and asked me where I got the delectable food. Maybe he just smelled kimchi? Regardless, I gave him the address. Great value for homey Korean food. Does it compete with a sit down place or high end KBBQ? No, but you can't beat the convenience, price, taste, and options. LOVED having lunch here after a strenuous morning climbing through the trees at TreeRush! Jason and I were famished after we completed almost all of the obstacles there and as we were finishing each one we kept thinking about where to go for lunch. It also helped keep my mind off of how high above the ground we were and that I was afraid of heights. When we got to the restaurant we were both uncertain as to what we were going to order as we were looking at the menu. But when the lady came out to show us what she had under the metal covers we were sold. I think I got a 2 choice order and chose the kalbi and chicken and sides and he got a 3 choice order. Wow I was impressed by this place! It's rather small and unnoticeable but the food was amazing and I thought the service was good. During Lent on Fridays they have this fried catfish that is to die for!! The amount of food that you get for the price you pay is insane! With a combo 1 you get one meat, potatoes, noodles, a crab rangoon, an egg roll, rice, and two salads. I didn't know what any of the salads were so I asked the lady to choose for me and she was great, telling me that she chose ones that will go well with the catfish. Of my 10 years here in the metro I finally found my way to this small restaurant for Korean food. My friend told me how much food is in the clam shell container where it hardly shuts. They were right. The dollar to food ratio is any consumers dream. I got the 3 meat combo: Korean wings, baby backs, pork bulgogi with 2 cold sides and eggroll and fried wonton with white rice all for 19.00 to go. Drink not included. The small little Korean lady must be doing this for a long long time. She had a system when she would ask for your order and continued down the hot to cold food buffet like setup. When we got home we couldn't wait to Dig in. My wife thought it was too salty, everything from hot dish to cold Kim Chee so she stopped eating. Great more for me. As I kept eating I also found that I was getting full but everything tasted 1 note. The spice on everything tasted the same. Like the red pepper paste you find in some Korean marinates. I would probably not go back as I find it very similar to a Chinese style serving. It was interesting for sure and I can see why it's been such a popular spot among Bellevue and Omaha folks who like Korean food. I myself love Korean food and a fan of Korean garden on 72nd and Ralston. The food was fine but I like food with a lot of flavors and excitement.
