Ordered To-Go but the dining area looks cozy and welcoming for guests. They were helpful suggesting a good meal to try while ordering. The hot and spicy soup had great deep flavorful broth. The main dish had a jalapenos and chicken which gave good spice balanced with the fried chicken pieces and sauce. I usually don't get breaded entrees, but my sister RAVED about the Peanut Butter Chicken (and she is VERY picky!). So, I stopped in during the lunch hour (best time to REALLY assess a Chinese restaurant). Oh, y'all! Run, do not walk! Let's start with the Hour and Sour Soup. (It comes with the eat in meal, and 2 crab Rangoon). The soup's umami was out of this city! It was so good! The depth of flavor and the way that danced on my tongue had me draining that bowl. Ordered garlic chicken, the special of the day. Flavor OK. Texture weird. The chicken pieces were so small they were like minced garlic. Trish agreed, said she is not getting this dish again. Hot and sour soup was OK, on the sour side. Egg roll for my daughter was of unknown quality, because they forgot to include it in my takeout bag. I do have three containers of plum sauce to go with it, though. Based on this meal, return would have been unlikely. However, they will comp me an egg roll next time, so I'll probably be back to try something other than garlic chicken. 2 1/2 stars, rounding up in hopes that the return visit is better. read more

not gonna lie this place is small and you almost worry you shouldn't be here when you first walk in but i highly advise to stay!! Their menu is extensive offering so many options to choose from and all sounding delicious. As a vegetarian a page of vegetarian dishes AND a page of vegan is heaven on earth. The Lomein here is my favorite dish; it's absolutely delicious. I always order Crab Rangoon and hot and sour soup as well. My husband loves the Kung Pao Kaipan and broccoli shrimp--the shrimp are large and definitely worth it. My daughter is a fan of the lemon chicken and the chicken rice bowl. The chicken is flavorful, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Their vegetarian dishes are amazing too, especially the teriyaki tofu and Mongolian tofu. The sauces they use are incredibly tasty. Great Chinese food. Not too far from ralston area. It's in the hyvee plaza, that where a good Chinese restaurant has been hidden from you. Check out their menu, they have like 100 item on the menu within 15 minutes of waiting time. Easy parking and nice service. Egg drop soup was tasty. I ordered the orange chicken and fried rice, the chicken was mushy and did not taste good at all, the sauce was okay but would've been better if the chicken was better. It was mushy and lacked the crunch that I love. They also used a lot of sauce, which may be a plus for some, but it wasn't my favorite. Not the worst Chinese food I've ever had but definitely not the best. I ordered the chicken lo mein and the beef fried rice. the lo mein was way better in my opinion, the rice was a little burnt. Also, 2/5 for the crab rangoon :( However, the staff is extremely friendly and the prices are great. For as close as it is to where I live, I could see myself getting take out here again and would like to try some other menu items. read more
