Every restaurant has their way of fixing dishes. I ordered the sweet and sour shrimp and it came just as the menu stated - shrimp with sauce on the side. It appeared at the table as if the shrimp was dipped in some airy light batter (maybe egg whites?) then served with a sauce on the side. The sauce itself was more on the sweet side. I am used to my S&S shrimp dipped in a thick batter then fried and served swimming in a sauce of equally portioned sweet and sour tasting sauce. I was looking for a Chinese food place close to downtown on Sunday, this place popped up with 4 stars and I decided to go try it! My first impression of the space was how clean it was! The service was very fast and the server was nice and had great recommendations! The hot and sour soup was good, more sour than hot, but overall yummy! The crab Rangoons were GREAT! Very crispy! The orange chicken had a great flavor and was crispy without being crunchy! PLEASE PAY THIS PLACE A VISIT. I know we're all loyal to our Chinese restaurants for takeout but this place has my heart. I absolutely love how quick they are with orders and I have not received anything that didn't like yet. They have so much flavor within each dish that every bite has my mouth watering for more. My favorite has to be the king pow triple delight. I like pairing it with a side of crab Rangoons. They have mastered a light and crispy wonton filled with cream cheese and crab. I haven't even started on the decor and art within this place. They have the more interesting pieces on the walls creating a huge mural right as you walk in. Came for lunch, it was walking distance and had decent reviews. I ordered the General's chicken and a green onion cookie. Turns out a green onion cookie is just a green onion pancake, it was greasy and not a lot of flavor. I always judge a Chinese restaurant by the general Tso chicken. I cannot say that I feel inspired to return. It was more or less sweet and sour chicken with Thai peppers in it and it still had no heat. However the rice was cooked to perfection. The woman who waited on me was very friendly and from the decor I saw remnants of the beer place it used to be. I think it still serves the craft beers. So that is kinda cool. read more

Yummy's 365 was a nice little surprise in Midtown. Looks new since old logo is still on the wall from last establishment that was in there. My sister and I split the Peanut Butter Chicken and the Asparagus Chicken and WOW! Best PB chicken I've ever had and I consider myself a PB connoisseur. I get this dish at every Chinese place I go and I've finally found the best! Most places over cooked the chicken in PB chicken and it gets hard and too crunchy, this was perfectly cooked. The Asparagus Chicken was excellent too. The sauce on it was awesome. The venue is not much to look at right now, but the food here is amazing. I absolutely love this place! During the summer me and my boyfriend would literally order Yummy 365 every Sunday. It's easy to walk to from our apartment and the owners are pleasant. It's typical American Chinese. It's a little more on the pricy end, but that's expected considering it's in a higher end shopping plaza. They have WONDERFUL noodle soups. The flavors are so delicate and fresh. I enjoy their shrimp dishes. Their shrimp is spiral in shape and juicy. Try their Princess Sucker Sour beer while you wait for your take-out. Delicious!! This location has been home to a number of restaurants I have enjoyed; I hope this one stays around a long time!! I ordered using the mobile app, which I was able to navigate easily. I was greeted warmly, and the pick-up process was both smooth and efficient. I appreciate the way sides work here - once you choose your entree, you move to a screen with choices. Rice has no cost, and other options are available for a clearly marked up charge. In total we tried sides of steamed pork dumplings - best we have had in ages with an amazing sauce!! Brussels sprouts - fantastic!! And then peanut butter chicken with white rice and triple delight with veggie lo mein. It was all delicious. The peanut butter chicken batter leads us to believe that anything bettered will be pleasant - a nice light not only-fried texture. The triple delight was indeed delightful: meat cooked to a tender stage, complex and flavorful sauce. We will be back, and will likely choose to work our way through the menu until we have tried it all, although the pork dumplings will be a must each order. There was some good and some bad. We had a menu dropped off at our house. The menu online and the paper menu do not provide descriptions of the dishes. We thought we would go in and order take out so we could have some questions answered. Service was nice. Questions were answered. Take out took about fifteen minutes. Food was still very hot when we got it home. My lunch portion of Mongolian beef was more than big enough. The flavor was good, it was spicy like I had asked and the beef seemed to be of good quality. My husband ordered the Szechuan beef. We did not receive this. Someone else must have received it as he got some kind of chicken dish. He said it was fine. We were unsure what it was. My daughter had the lunch orange chicken. She liked the flavor and liked that there was orange peel in the dish. My son doesn't like Chinese food so we usually get him chicken satay and rice. I ordered him the chicken skewers. They were sort of like fried chicken on a stick with no breading. They may have been good if they were not completely overcooked. They were very dry and hard. He did not like them and unfortunately they ended up in the trash. The Brussels were cooked well and the sauce was good-a bit sweeter than we like. The green Beans were okay. There were drowning in sauce which we also thought was a bit too sweet. I think they have a large menu and we will probably give them another try in the future. Worth checking out!! read more

What used to be 5168 Tap House is now a mediocre Chinese restaurant with 5168 beer on tap. The beer is as amazing as it always was. Most of the food unfortunately... is not. My husband I started our meal with soup and the Brussels appetizer. My Hot and Sour was decent (better can be found in Bellevue and Downtown) but my husband said his Egg Drop was watered down and really bland. The Brussels are delicious - perfectly cooked and with a sauce, that if I lacked decorum, would have had me licking the plate. For the main entree we decided to split the Sesame Chicken. This was disappointing also. The chicken was heavily breaded, not crispy, and in an overly sweet sauce that I would describe as "goopy". The chicken was tender and juicy, and the sauce followed the normal tangy orange flavor with a hint of spiciness that I have not experienced before. I enjoyed the twist in this traditional dish. The atmosphere was conducive for pleasant conversation with low-volume background music, and the dim lighting was fitting for the evening hours. This time, I ordered take out for the family including: orange chicken, vegetables with sliced chicken, chicken fried rice, and crab rangoon. All of this was ordered on the phone and took about 15 minutes. Of the ones above, the vegetables with sliced chicken was my favorite. Although it isn't on the menu, they will make it for you. I am new to Omaha and wanted to try some chinese food, Yummy 365 was one of the top hits on yelp. I ordered the fried dumplings, kung pao chicken, General Tsos chicken and an order of beef and chicken lo mein. I ordered this for dinner and the images on yelp with half chicken half rice/lo mein are there lunch deals, the dinner deals come with a full plate of your entree and a side of rice/lo mein. I will say the food you get for your money is actually a fair amount. All my entrees were packed to the top of the box. The dumplings were not great at all, i consider myself somewhat of a dumplings snob too. Usually when i order pan fried dumplings one side is fried and the other side is fleshy. These were almost deep fried. The taste was not great either, almost like a store bought, frozen dumpling you would get. 1/5 for me. General Tso chicken was alright, i usually dont order this but the party i was with wanted it. I cant really compare it to other General Tso but I would say it tasted like a knock off of a panda express orange chicken, the people who did order it enjoyed it. 2/5. Kung pao chicken was the best meal i ordered, chicken was well cooked, it wasnt as spicy as I would have liked but overall it tasted good, I will say it was WAY to saucy for my liking. Lo meins were decent, the noodles themselves were good but the sauce they had on them was bland. Lastly I can usually tell how good a place is by its hot oil and boy was this hot oil bad. I really wanted to like this place, for me this was a step above a panda express in quality of ingeridients but a step below in execution and flavor. Probably wont be back. read more
