I wasnt sure what to expect here, as it was a favorite of my (penniless) high schoolers back in the day, but I was pleasantly surprised. I started with a fried bun. I had no idea what it was and thought I'd give it a whirl. It's exactly what it says -- but better than a slice of bread or a roll. The interior has a hint of sweet and I'm not sure if youre supposed to combine it with something; I just chowed down in the car on my way home. I also got a vegetable egg roll. Pass on that next time. The interior was indistinguishable mush. I'm not sure what was in there, but it wasn't pleasant. Next up -- Walnut Chicken. I think the walnuts are toasted? They were very brown (still tasted good), but I was taken aback when I first saw them. I feared they were (to me) dreaded raisins (albeit tremendously oversized). Fear not, they were walnuts, and lots of chicken at a great price! The sauce was sweet, but not cloyingly so. I had enough food for lunch the next day. The dish came with two scoops of rice (a little on the sticky side), and two crab rangoon. If there was any crab associated with the latter, it might have been a quick wave over or something. I tasted no crab, but otherwise, for what it was it was tasty. Finally, almond cookies. I loved getting these at King Fong, so Bo Bo had a lot to live up to and didn't quite hit the mark, but they were good. Everything was tasty, though not by any means outstanding relative to what you expect from Chinese takeout food. Generous portions are a plus; leftovers for lunch are always great to have. They added a tip, which we took out (I don't tip for pick up), they asked us verify our phone number, we did, and when we went to check out, they added a tip back in. Took it out again and went to check out. They added a $1 fee for pretty much nothing (said something about to keep their prices low, don't think we should have a fee added for that). When we went to pick up the order, they had a sign in the restaurant saying they charge a fee for using a credit card. Didn't say that on their website. Didn't say that when we checked out and were given our final amount. BUT once you get in there, they're holding your order hostage if you didn't know to bring cash, so ANOTHER fee, this one a SURPRISE! Food was just OK. read more

Had the pepper steak with fried rice yesterday. The fried rice was very bland and basically was just fried rice nothing else like bits of egg, onion, or Chinese veggies. The pepper steak was just that, sliced steak, peppers, and onions with a little bit of sauce on it absolutely nothing else. It was requested to be extra extra spicy but I guess they forgot. The food seemed to be fresh, and looked good, it was just so incredibly bland. The portions were on the skimpy side, most Chinese food places have a bit larger portions. read more

I have ordered Mongolian Beef 10 times through grub hub. My recent order was a hot mess. The food was lukewarm. Order of fried rice was half the size than normal. The egg role was under cooked and soggy. The delivery driver texted me that he was waiting at the restaurant longer than normal. I took my granddaughter there after her softball games. It's clean is the only positive I can think of We were given luke warm water with no ice. The appetizer and entrees were so bad we couldn't eat them. The crab Rangoon was crisp on the outside with a glob of cream cheese that dropped out when you bit into them with no hint of crab. The entrees were cold! The rice had something slimy in it and looked like it had sprouts. The sweet and sour chicken pieces were dried out and the whole serving was cold. The General Taos chicken was terrible. The sauce tasted like spoiled catsup with no spice. And it had a grainy consistency. The chicken pieces were rock hard and it was cold as well. As was the rice. No one checked on us. There was only one other occupied table and the 2 wait people were eating at a table right behind us. read more

BoBo Chinese was found through Yelp. Lots of mixed reviews from 1 star to 5. A takeout order was called in for a Happy Family and Sliced Chicken with Garlic Sauce. Food was promised within 10 minutes during the dinner hours. Entrées come with rice and 2 crab rangoons. The only complaint was the use of celery in this dish. It did have a nice bite and I wold order this again if they remove celery from the recipe. read more

Better than I expected, Bo Bo China is pretty average for American Chinese. They have pretty good value (+ 2 crab rangoons for free per order) and the flavors are what you expect. I liked the sauce for the Generals chicken and the yum yum shrimp was also solid. I'd still probably go to Lings over Bo Bo but this wasn't bad. if you want warm chinese comfort food, you have got to go here. they are super quick too which is always a bonus. first, every meal comes with two crab rangoons which is amazing. second, they have an extensive menu and i've tried something new every time i've came. most recently i tried the general tso's chicken which is one of my favorite classics and it was so good, probably my favorite thing yet. i also got the egg drop soup and it was so warm and comforting even after the 20 minute drive home! definitely recommend this place, it's one of my favs for chinese takeout read more

Bobo more like no go. Saw this place near our new house. Finally gave a try and wouldn't go back. The fried egg roll and crab Rangoon were good. Also got hot and sour soup which was decent. The entrees however were difficult to eat. Husband got Generals chicken. It was cold, and tasted like a bbq sauce. Possibly the best shrimp egg foo yong in the city of Omaha since King Fong. The patties are thick and delicious not dry pr over fried. The protein is cooked into the patty as opposed to being piled on top. Large pieces of shrimp. The sauce is a nice rich flavorful brown sauce --not too thick and not watery. I'd say it's on point. The beef fried rice has perfect color- not pale- great seasoning, only missing some bean sprouts. I have eaten twice here and I've been completely happy with my meals. Food is good there. It is made quickly. My problem is that when I ordered online, there is no disclosure of the $2.80 "convenience fee". I also declined to tip as I was making a carry out order, and was charged $5.20 for a tip. Why am I paying a convenience fee for an order that I am picking up? Why am I tipping someone who makes at least $13.50 (state minimum) wage for doing nothing more than handing me a bag of food? Your menu gives a price of $11.95 for an item and it winds up being well over $16.00 when the added undisclosed BS fees are added. Will never order from them again and do not recommend. read more

We ordered MB, beef fried rice, orange chicken, crab Rangoon and egg rolls, 100%%%% do yourself a favor and... A) Skip anything with beef! Disgusting, tough, too much gristle, chewy and flavorless. How do you mess up MB?!? B) Avoid the fried rice, it was flavorless, and we had to use way too much soy sauce to make it edible. How do you mess up fried rice?!? C) If you're forced to eat at this nasty restaurant, get the orange chicken. It was decent, very "orangey"! D) Go somewhere else! This place obviously doesn't take pride in what they serve. The lo mein is overpriced and an incredibly small portion. I don't know why they think people who order noodles want a side of rice, but you get a side of rice like you would with a regular meal. My husband liked his General Tso's chicken, and the crab rangoon and egg drop soup were just fine. Nobody liked the egg roll though - too cabbage-y for my picky family? One of my super-picky kids who turns her nose up at everything liked the PB chicken too - miracles happen! They charged me for the crab rangoon which I discovered was missing from my order. :( The two included with my entree were only filled with cream cheese and were very dried out.
