Just okay. It's cheap but I think the least they can do is let you have fried ride instead of plain white rice on the side. Was pretty bland but I've had way worse before. Decent for the cheap price.

It was very good! We'll be back!! I loved the spicy side. Because of the peppers though they are crazy hot! Loved the house noodles and shrimp. The restaurant was very quiet and it was chill.

I went on a Sunday night to try the hot pot. The food was super duper good, the service was just so so. I had to keep asking for my water to be refilled. The condiment bar was empty for quite a while, and unfortunately the labels did not match what the condiments were. I could tell what some of them were, but I was completely lost with other things. The food itself was delicious. It was my first time having the hot pot and I will definitely be back for more. The restaurant itself was fine. It was clean and I liked that the booths had high backs which allowed for privacy. Had the service been better, I would have given this place five stars, but subpar service is not enough to keep me away!

We had been visiting this restaurant since last year, almost 1-time every month. Things were great until last Sunday. They were super slow. We waited for almost 20 mins to have someone came and asked then another 10-mins for our drink (water and a beer) came out. The food was ok and they are the only one in town serving hotpot. No wonder they were super busy. We only called the first row. We left cash with $2 tip. The server called us back. I used to work in the restaurant for almost a year, I know how things could be crazy when there was a short staff and busy night. But the server was super rude, he demanded 15% in tip (the total was $66.75) and he would not let us go without doing so. I'm not gonna visit this restaurant again and I will sure tell my family to not doing so. As Asian we usually support small Asian business in town but this one will not be.

The service was excellent. Our server was super nice and accommodating. She made gave us a bbq slot even though our reservation was not recorded. The environment was very welcoming and they made sure our glass was never empty.

I have eaten here before and love their food, so it was hard to write this review. We ordered the hot pot and got a serving of bok Choy with it. While we dumped it in, we noticed that the last leaf had a little friend in it. We called the waiter over and he took it with him. While we let the hot pot cook the veggies, another little friend came up. We again showed it to the waiter and said he would bring out a new hot pot. New batch of bok choy came out and Again! Another little friend in it. Waiter said he would talk to the manager. We finished our food and asked if everything was alright. We said yes and hands us our check. We honestly thought they would at least comp my soda for not making a big deal out of it...and the place was full.....

The service was fast for a take out call. I looked online at the menu and I was $9.95 a meal... pretty reasonable. Called in our order. Three entree and two appetizers. I go to pick up the order and the first thing out of the man working the front desk was "just wait a second okay!" ok. I was a little sticker shocked when it rang up over $50! I asked to see the ticket and it was $12 and entree , $1 each rice, and honestly I don't remember the price of the appetizers. We got it home and it was bizarre to say the least. The peanut butter chicken was a fried cutlet cut into strips and dipping sauce that was more fish sauce tasting than peanut butter. The other two had no flavor. At all. I've literally have better Chinese at a mall kiosks. Two stars just for being quick.

Ask the Community - China Garden

Is there a make your own sauce bar?

    Yes there is one.

    Are there any vegetarian dishes?

Yes lots! Check out their menu! Happy veggie eatings!

I see they have BBQ. Someone mentioned it's Chinese BBQ not Korean BBQ. Can anyone tell me if it's served with banchan (sides)? Thank you!

No banchan but you can order appetizers and veggies to grill and ask for included rice.

I see on the outside of the building, there is what looks like Korean BBQ, is this offered too?

Mark--they have all you can eat table top bbq, but it's sichuanese food vs korean. Very good though. Give it a try!

The Fukui cocktail (cucumber vodka flavors) is a great pairing with the menu items. One thing I really enjoy about this restaurant is that you order as you go, so you never leave hungry and it's a safe bet that you won't over order. The wait staff will frequently check in on you and see if you need to order more. The Bunzai Buns (runza inspired) and Gyoza are my favorite options outside of the sushi. The Gyoza are fresh, chewy, and are paired with a very flavorful sauce. Our favorite Nigiri is the Sea Bream And you truly can't go wrong with any of the rolls. Don't forget to end your meal with the cereal milk ice cream! Reservations are highly recommended as time slots will fill up fast. The atmosphere is well thought through - I enjoy how it is fairly dark in there, but the lights are shining so they are focused on the food. Can't recommend this restaurant enough!

We also got the Hama toast and hotate, very fresh. For maki rolls we got the go-San, stinger and royale. None stuck out more than the other. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable and offered a great amount of suggestions while navigating the menu. The restaurant is small and cozy with very cool woodwork throughout. I got the cocktail that was similar to a Paloma, very delicious.

We walked in at 5:15 PM, sat down, and the place was packed within minutes. Not an empty seat in sight--good timing on our part! Our server greeted us quickly, and after a quick look at the drink menu, we went all in with water, Coke Zero (YES, a Coke Zero establishment!), and a cocktail--the amusingly named Sex in Okinawa. No regrets. As the sushi train made its rounds, we grabbed a crab rangoon. It was tasty but had cooled off from its little journey, so we opted for a fresh batch from the kitchen. The spring rolls? Crispy, hot, and on point. I did have to ask for sriracha a few times (our server kept forgetting), but to be fair, they were busy, so I didn't hold it against them. One thing we noticed was that some of the sushi rolls lacked descriptions. A tiny sign with ingredients would be helpful. I am a sushi newbie, and I wasn't about to roll the dice on a Volcano Roll without knowing what was inside. For what I did try: California rolls - classic and exactly what you'd expect. Sexy jalapeño - surprisingly good! (If there was fish in there, I didn't notice.) Tempura sweet potato roll - crispy, slightly sweet, and a winner. Pro tip: They offer a veteran/military discount, but double-check your receipt--ours wasn't applied at first, but they fixed it without issue. Final bill: about $68, and let's be honest, a good chunk of that was drinks. Not bad for a fun dinner out! Would I go back? Absolutely. There's plenty more to try, and the atmosphere makes for a great night with friends. Final Verdict: Worth the ride!

If you heard about a sushi omakase place in the middle of America, what would you think? I bet…read moreit's probably not fresh-tasting raw dishes or wow-level sushi omakase. But there is a James Beard-level recognized chef here, in Omaha, that is delivering fresh-tasting raw and other omakase dishes week after week - geography be damned. His name is David Utterback. It's incredibly difficult to get reservations at this eight-seat omakase called Ota. Moreso than any omakase in my hometown on an island in the middle of the Pacific. In fact, I dont think he needs this review - the best don't need to advertise. I also don't think we have a sushi chef here in Hawaii that is as nationally-acclaimed as Utterback. So we were very interested to try. And we were very lucky to get reservations. I dont think there is a parking lot for this restaurant, which is tucked within his also highly-regarded Yoshitomo restaurant. So if you from Hawaii like me, and get lucky with the reservations, gotta roll da dice on parallel street parking. That's code for come early ;) (parking is free in the area) W-h-e-n you do arrive at Yoshitomo, there is a small - hidden - waiting area within Yoshitomo where you will be asked to wait for the omakase to begin. The dark photo with the lantern and Ota sign is in that waiting room. - And frankly - That's all that needs to be shown in a photo cause the omakase course itself varies depending on chef's tastes and what's available that week. The courses we had will likely not be the entirety of the courses you have. But the rice might be the same. There is a special black vinegar that chef uses to add to the rice. Ask him about it. There is a whole story behind it ;) So my photos are small in number. They are the highlights of our experience and what stood out to me that is beyond anything I've tried in Hawaii or elsewhere (including the black-vinegar sushi rice) Enjoy - cause we most certainly did :)
