Not overly spicy but flavorful. Added Vietnamese Egg Rolls. I probably prefer traditional Chinese egg rolls, but was pleased to see Pan Asian makes their own little container of hot mustard. Hurts my nose and tastes great at the same time. There were just a couple occupied tables early on a Saturday night. Proprietor was friendly and order was done in timely fashion. Pan Asian was recommended to me by my boss. I had some time after getting off work early and decided to stop in and check it out. It was after 2pm when I arrived, so it was pretty quiet. I think staff was getting ready for dinner. I ordered crab rangoon and pepper beef. The food was decent, it had flavor. However, the sweet and sour sauce as a touch too sweet and the pepper beef wasn't spicy. When I see the spicy pepper on the menu...my mouth was ready for spice and I didn't get it. I would've given 3 stars but the extra star is for the waiter. My waiter was on top of his job. I didn't feel ignored or rushed. While I was waiting for my food to arrive, I watch a Vietnamese show that was on the tv. The decor is typical of Asian fusion restaurants. Not knocking it. How I've lived in West Omaha for years and never tried this place is beyond me. Absolutely delicious and fresh food!! I tried the peanut butter chicken on a recent stop for a take out lunch and what a surprise to find my meal hot, fresh and ready promptly when promised. The restaurant had only one seated table when I walked in, but it was a late, midweek lunch so it didn't seem that surprising. I was greeted promptly with a welcoming environment. The food itself was probably the best peanut butter chicken I've had in Omaha! Others are dry and overcooked, not here! This chicken was fresh, crispy, and covered with plenty of sauce to use with the fried rice. the peanut butter sauce itself was just enough sweet but also that savory goodness of peanut butter everyone loves. Pan Asian is located at the end of a strip mall. First impression walking in - ambiance seems to lean towards upscale vibe, small bar section, large seating area. Menu is large and covers not only your typical Chinese American dishes but Vietnamese as well. However $20 for bowl of pho is a bit overboard and hard to justify that price tag. I settled on beef lo mein but was disappointed that they used super thin noodles. Anytime I've had lo mein, it was more along the lines of spaghetti type noodles so I was surprised. I think thicker noodles would've tasted better. The lo mein felt sloppy and limp because of the thinner noodle. Be aware they charge 4% fee for credit cards. Went here for my birthday dinner, because I foolishly did not make reservations, but this place pulled through. The pho was balanced and refreshing, the fried im rice was flavorful, but not over empowering. Overall, Everything was pretty wonderful. The food is okay. Typical Chinese takeout. The prices however are much higher. I got sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, and crab Rangoon. I paid $45. And the sweet and sour chicken was dry to the texture of jerky and accompanied by raw onions and green peppers. The crab Rangoon were empty (see photos). I truly loved my experience here. The waiter was knowledgeable and very kind and cared about helping us figure out which dish to pick. My husband chose the hot hue pho and I chose the beef brisket pho. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy, and the beef was soft. Both were delicious and the price was pretty good! I've come to learn that Omaha is more of a sushi and ramen city, but that has left such a wide open hole for other amazing Asian dishes like hot pot and pho. With such limited pho options in Omaha, Pan Asian Terrace is definitely the best option in the city. They offer all varieties of pho with good portions of meat and tasty broth as well as a very solid vegetarian pho with veggie broth. Pan Asian Terrace has a very wide selection of different Asian cuisines. My favorite being Vietnamese, I opted for the Cá Kho Tộ as it's one of my favorite dishes and wanted to try their take on it. Wow, we started out so excited for this meal. Customer service was great, and nothing was missed in our large family order. But the food itself was absolutely terrible. Except for the rice, and Crab Rangoon (which were just fine) each dish smelled and tasted off, the best dishes were bland. Literally, we all looked at each other and wondered if the whole family got COVID in an attempt to explain it. But, on sampling other food that tasted exactly as expected, we determined it must be the dishes themselves. I seriously hope this was a one day hiccup, or they were trying out a new cook that wasn't shown where the spices are kept. Or they are working with expired cans of sauces. Kung Pao Beef - undercooked meat, no spice at all, sauce tasted like watered down brown sauce from a can Sweet and Sour pork - doughy breading, meat was not marinated or seasoned prior to breading Pan Fried Noodles - like rehydrated chow mein noodle , crispy not from frying - but from being dried out. Moo Shu Pork - I wish I could describe it Except to say it was very poor. Homemade Gyoza, pan fried - they were fine. A bit burnt in some places but not to excess. But overall acceptable flavor and consistency I gave this two stars instead of 1 because Yelp! guilted me into being lenient due to COVID. read more

The wait was not too long, our food came out quickly after we ordered. -Hue Spicy soup The smell of the broth is very authentic. However the broth is very very very spicy (be aware!) I was sweating the whole time eating it. I also wished there would be more meat in the soup and they are missing blood cubes or beef in the soup. - Beef Fried Rice Decent. Hot. Delicious. Meat is tender. - Vermicelli with Pork and Egg roll The grilled charcoal pork is delicious, their marinade is top-notch. It needs a little more fresh herb and pickled carrot with radish. This place was fantastic. After some of the reviews on here I was hesitant but I'm glad we went. We had a party of 7 (3 kids) and went there about 7:45 on Friday night. It's not a huge place but well decorated and clean. The food was amazing and portion were massive! The service was fantastic and the staff were very kind. They don't have a kids menu but let the kids split the honey chicken three ways (a bowl of rice for each). We really enjoyed the beef pho, edamame's, and the chicken pad thai (was surprised since it's not specifically a Thai place). I highly recommend! read more

Very modern, beautiful interior. Makes you feel like you're in an upscale place, without spending a fortune. There's a gorgeous chandelier as you walk in, and the whole place is decked out in black and red chic decor. The egg drop soup is tasty but not sure it's made from scratch. The Vietnamese egg rolls weren't my favorite. They were hot and crispy on the outside but the inside was just too mushy. They had a seafood taste, though the menu didn't say anything about it. The combo pho is delish, the broth has a very deep flavor from the 12 hour stewing. The shaved beef wasn't as tender as I'd expect for a pho though. It was really a nice touch to have several stems of fresh basil on the plate of accoutrement. The peanut butter chicken was to die for! Best I have had in Omaha. Crisp and tender. The sauce wasn't too sweet. I love that they use lotus root flour for the coating. Stopped in for lunch yesterday and was pleasantly surprised with how great the food and atmosphere were. We wanted something above average and this place definitely hit the spot. We started with the home-made steamed gyoza and an order of crab rangoon. They both were great. The dough on the gyoza was thicker than most places I've tried. I enjoyed them, but personally think they would have been better if I went with the pan fried option. For entrees we ordered the Pho Beef Brisket and the Amazing Terrace Chicken, with a side of hot and sour soup. The pho was delicious! It was hard not to eat it all despite being super full (I had the rest for lunch today ). The chicken dish and soup were also very good. There were so many items on the menu that sounded great so it was hard to order. It's a bit far from home for me, but I would definitely like to try it again! read more

I was mistakenly served the beef clay pot (hilarious story behind the order), but didn't initially notice because of the conversation I was having, but I knew it was delicious. Since that chance evening, I haven't ordered anything besides the beef clay pot. Unbelievably great meal! That said, I had previously ordered numerous entrees and was never disappointed. I will never come back. Came after their claim of Best Restaurant on tv commercial. Big disappointed. I love Asian food but everything we order that day is not even that good. In fact i just ate 10% of it and left everything and don't even bother to pack it. Crab rangoon is decent. Egg drop soup is ok but why put chicken? Its supposed to be a good option soup for those doesn't eat meat. Chicken satay was a fail too. Not supposed to taste like that. And pls don't assume that everyone will like your peanut sauce with the satay by dripping it on the meat. And chicken satay are supposed to be on skewer! The Beef Garlic with hot sauce was a missed coz i don't taste garlic at all! Kung Pao chicken was a total disaster when we ordered. This place is on my worst place to eat.
