a plate of wontons on a wooden table

Pan Asian was recommended to me by my boss. I had some time after getting off work early and decided to stop in and check it out. It was after 2pm when I arrived, so it was pretty quiet. I think staff was getting ready for dinner. I ordered crab rangoon and pepper beef. The food was decent, it had flavor. However, the sweet and sour sauce as a touch too sweet and the pepper beef wasn't spicy. When I see the spicy pepper on the menu...my mouth was ready for spice and I didn't get it. I would've given 3 stars but the extra star is for the waiter. My waiter was on top of his job. I didn't feel ignored or rushed. While I was waiting for my food to arrive, I watch a Vietnamese show that was on the tv. The decor is typical of Asian fusion restaurants. Not knocking it. It's something I've come to expect.

Service was great & food was good, will have to get my own Pad Thai next time. This was our 2nd time in & I tried the Lo Mein while the SO stuck with her Pad Thai (that was tasty). She does it without heat of course

Mongolian Beef and Fried Rice

Mongolian Beef was amazing, and the Hot and Sour soup cured my cold! Amazing staff and very clean restaurant to eat in.

Peanut Butter Chicken and Fried Rice

How I've lived in West Omaha for years and never tried this place is beyond me. Absolutely delicious and fresh food!! I tried the peanut butter chicken on a recent stop for a take out lunch and what a surprise to find my meal hot, fresh and ready promptly when promised. The restaurant had only one seated table when I walked in, but it was a late, midweek lunch so it didn't seem that surprising. I was greeted promptly with a welcoming environment. The food itself was probably the best peanut butter chicken I've had in Omaha! Others are dry and overcooked, not here! This chicken was fresh, crispy, and covered with plenty of sauce to use with the fried rice. the peanut butter sauce itself was just enough sweet but also that savory goodness of peanut butter everyone loves. Definitely worth a try next time. I can't recommend Pan Asian Terrace enough after this visit!

Beef lo mein

Pan Asian is located at the end of a strip mall. First impression walking in - ambiance seems to lean towards upscale vibe, small bar section, large seating area. Menu is large and covers not only your typical Chinese American dishes but Vietnamese as well. However $20 for bowl of pho is a bit overboard and hard to justify that price tag. I settled on beef lo mein but was disappointed that they used super thin noodles. Anytime I've had lo mein, it was more along the lines of spaghetti type noodles so I was surprised. I think thicker noodles would've tasted better. The lo mein felt sloppy and limp because of the thinner noodle. Be aware they charge 4% fee for credit cards. Cash payment is the restaurant's preference.

Went here for my birthday dinner, because I foolishly did not make reservations, but this place pulled through. The pho was balanced and refreshing, the fried im rice was flavorful, but not over empowering. Overall, Everything was pretty wonderful. The server's main language wasn't English, but he was very chill and efficient. The ambiance is a little more upscale compared to other restaurants, but It still kept a comforting energy.

Empty crab Rangoon

The food is okay. Typical Chinese takeout. The prices however are much higher. I got sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, and crab Rangoon. I paid $45. And the sweet and sour chicken was dry to the texture of jerky and accompanied by raw onions and green peppers. The crab Rangoon were empty (see photos). I would forgive a lot more if it hadn't been $45. Go with full pockets and low expectations.

Pho. Apparently, that's what rare beef and meatballs with an additional )5 extra charge for "extra meatballs" $23+ for this

paid extra for extra meat and thought it was missing from the order. They insisted this is what it looked like with extra meat. When we called they were aggressive and a used us of ordering wrong even though they made it super clear we would be charged $5 extra. Paid $23+

Clay Pot Tofu with fried rice

I've come to learn that Omaha is more of a sushi and ramen city, but that has left such a wide open hole for other amazing Asian dishes like hot pot and pho. With such limited pho options in Omaha, Pan Asian Terrace is definitely the best option in the city. They offer all varieties of pho with good portions of meat and tasty broth as well as a very solid vegetarian pho with veggie broth. The hot pot and clay pot options are also incredible and are massive serving sizes. I love getting the Thai Iced tea boba here as well.

Nice owners and great food. They were slow the last two times we did carry-out. Go give them a try! Probably the best pho in Omaha.

You can choose from a wide variety of seafood such as shrimp, mussels, lobster, snow crab etc. once you choose your seafood that you select your flavoring. Choices are Cajun, lemon pepper, garlic butter, or a mix of all three. Lastly, choose your spice level (mild, medium, hot, etc). We both selected the snow crab and snow boil with Cajun seasoning and mild spice. The boils also come with corn, potatoes and a hard boiled egg. Never seen the egg in a boil before. Everything comes out in a big plastic bag in a steel pan. Dump the contents out and prepare to dig in. Let me say that this is not the place to go out all dressed up. The boils are very messy. They give you an apron and plastic gloves, but still a mess. It was delicious. We also got a couple sides of hush puppies which were very tasty as well. Good portions. Staff was friendly and informative. Really great flavors in the boils. They did a real good job. Definitely worth checking out.

We're visiting Omaha, NE for the weekend and was looking for a good pho place. We decided to give…read morethis spot a try since it wasn't too far of a drive from the hotel we were staying at. We did read through quite a bit of reviews and we figured that since a lot of reviews were older, perhaps there are some improvements so we gave it a try! I do have some thoughts and wanted to share a current review on our experience today. Pro to Food: We ordered 2 bowls of their beef Combination Pho. We absolutely LOVED how flavorful the broth was. We didn't have to add any additional sauce to the broth to enhance the flavor because the broth was already super tasty. Like many other reviews, the broth is a little bit more oily than we're used to seeing BUT we cannot deny how great the flavor was so that's a huge bonus which is why we didn't mind the "oily" broth! It wasn't too terrible. Just a little more oily than what we've seen at other pho places but it's probably the liquid gold! Cons: - lack of meat in both phos. Our bowls of pho had very little amount of meat so that was a disappointment. I didn't count how many slices of meat/meatballs but it was a lot less than we're used to. Several other reviewers said that same thing about this issue, but we were hoping that since it's been several years since those reviews were posted, perhaps things have changed but sadly, it's still the same. - pho sizes: they only have one size. It would've been nice to have different sizes in case someone had a bigger appetite. - ambiance/cleanliness: The entire place needs remodeling (walls, floors, paint). They need to remove all the chairs and tables, sweep and mop everything thoroughly, and then put everything back. It looks like a place that just opened and is still needing a lot of work. - TV: They had a TV that was playing a video shooting game (like Roblox). I have a feeling that this was more so as entertainment for the owner's little ones but as a customer, I thought it was inappropriate in a restaurant setting to have something like that playing in this restaurant space. I'm a mother as well so having my little one there while trying to enjoy my meal and trying to keep my child from not watching something like that was a juggle that I didn't appreciate. We did see the "Shortage in staff" sign at the front of the restaurant (by the entrance) so we are sadden to see that due to shortage in staff, they're not able to get things where they would like it to be. Hoping that in a few years, we'll see some improvements if we're ever in the area again! Overall, would I recommend this place? I'll say, maaaaaaaaaybe (only for the broth). There are a lot of things that can be improved to make the place more inviting & the experience better. We have a favorite pho place where we live so that is the standard that we look for when we're trying other places but we always like to keep an open mind and try new places especially when we're traveling. The pho broth here is phenomenal so hats off to the chef!

When I went in to…read morepick it up, there was a little boy maybe 5 years old who came out to say thank you and "make sure to come back tomorrow!" I ordered the spicy beef soup and it was spicy!! I probably had half the broth and most of the veggies and noodles in my dinner portion, so I'm sitting here feeling like a roly poly, but it was worth it. My husband got the combo pho and all the veggies and noodles looked so fresh and good! I'm excited to go back. This is a no fuss, straight to business good food restaurant. If you're looking for authentic pho, this is a good choice. I didn't get a picture of the beef soup because I ate it too fast, but it was also lovely.

A friend had their birthday there recently - and unfortunately I was not super impressed. The interior looks similar to the outside, like it's been there for a long time and because of that, is a little run down. The service was great, especially since we were a large group. They were keeping all the drink and food orders straight, which was impressive. I had an appetizer and chose the Pate So, which are little puff pastries filled with a protein and delicious sauce. I loved these. I also had the meatball soup, which was pretty flavorful, but almost clear, so it didn't seem to have very much seasoning in the broth. And then for my entree, I picked the Sesame Chicken. It was kind of dry chicken and also in gigantic chunks, so was pretty hard to eat without doing surgery at the table. Ugh. The one other plus (aside from the service and Pate So), is that they are pretty inexpensive. So Saigon Restaurant has some good options, but others are not as awesome. It's a little dated inside and out, but the service is excellent, and you won't spend an arm and a leg. For those reasons, I still recommend trying them out, because you may find something you do like and not overspend on it, in case you aren't a huge fan.

Heads up, soft drinks come in a can so no free refills here, but water is available, thankfully. I treated myself to a strawberry lemonade with popping dragon fruit boba, and let me tell you, it was fantastic. Definitely getting that again. We started with crab rangoon. Service was a bit slow, even though it was not too busy, but the rangoons were worth every second. For the main event, we each grabbed a large bowl of pho. One special, one steak-only (mine), and one chicken. I love that all the sauces, utensils, and extras are right on the table. The broth is what makes pho, and theirs did not disappoint. The noodles took a little work, but everything came together perfectly. And the plate of sprouts, cilantro, lime, and jalapeño lets you doctor your soup just the way you like it. Lunch came to about $37 after tip (I covered the rangoons), which is a little steep, but considering I got a craft lemonade, a pop, a large soup, and plenty of leftovers, I think it was worth it. Honestly, the quality and quantity more than justify the price. I'm even starting to welcome colder weather just so I can enjoy this soup more often! I will absolutely be back.
