Excellent food! It was our first time trying Burmese food but it did not disappoint. The Tea Leaf Salad was very unique but so good that I'm going to have to find a recipe and try it myself! Full of crunchy grains and some peanuts, cabbage and of course tea leaves, with a medium spicy flavorful dressing. Husband had the Asian Burmese DanPauk Beef which came with rainbow rice (almost fruity flavor with nuts and raisins), and I had the Burmese Chicken Curry. Both were excellent! read more

It annoys me when I really want to like a place and then can't. I was so expecting awesome food cooked by native Burmese, but nope, food was bland and disappointing. Yes the cook appeared to be from Burma, maybe as home cooks go, she isn't that great a cook. I know some Americans that should never go to another country and open a restaurant because they will give the wrong impression of American food. Such is the case with this restaurant. The people who worked are super nice, friendly and helpful and the prices are very reasonable. It's better than mediocre Chinese food, but not by much. I'm sad and the search continues for authentic Burmese flavors. Sigh! read more

First time trying out the food I loved it. I had the beef curry, fish noodle soup and ginger salad. All three dishes were great and had perfect balance of flavor. If you want something different, then I would definitely recommend you try this place out. The portions are small but the price compensates for it. The food here is . Do yourself a favor and get the Ginger salad. So. Freaking. Good. It has more of a sesame/peanut taste than ginger. If you want spicier flavors, the waiter will bring over some condiments to add spice. We added some dried chili flakes and crispy anchovies to our dry soup. Other reviewers commented on the portion sizes. We ordered several things and split everything. The beef biryani was large enough for two meals. Super clean restaurant. Friendly, helpful staff! It has a mix of Burmese and other Asian foods (i.e. Chinese, Korean, Japanese). The food was good and they give you a lot. I've been here 3 times and each time has been absolutely great. The main courses are plentiful and tasty and oftentimes they bring out an extra side dish or appetizer to try. I'd recommend the 'Burmese fried noodle' if you are unsure where to start. Good selection of drinks and food items, great prices and very friendly and helpful staff. To be honest, i was excited because this was going to be one of the first Burmese restaurant to ever open to Omaha area besides from the Thai Salween restaurants. Now that I've been there, I want to honestly write my experience and review on the food and overall everything. As you walk in, you'll get greeted by the server and they are friendly. They also speak Burmese and English which ever you prefer lol. There are a lot of options but I can't understand how everything they have would work for others. They should just specialized in their main traditional food but who am I to say? I'm just a customer who wants to be satisfied eating traditional Burmese food I can't have at home. Say to say, we ordered fish noodles and coconut and fish curry. They were all disappointment. First their portions are small, second I just feel like my dad can cook it better but like I said, it's my first time so that's that and third, my fish curry had only 5 pieces of small fish in a very salty curry sauce. I almost wanted to get up and leave when I saw it. It's like my soul left but my body stayed. I also don't like when I'm being served by two different servers. I originally had one lady serve our table but then a man who just had come from outside whom I think is the manager or owner grabbed my food and served me for me to not know where his hands had been and why he decided to serve us when he had his worker do her job. I'm not sure if they are family but I would like a consistent work being done. As lovely and friendly the people were, I don't believe their food will bring much customers who believe they can just have their home made food as much similar like theirs. This is just my experience but I hope nothing but the best for this restaurant. read more

We tried for the first time recently and were pleasantly surprised with the restaurant. While the dishes overall for our taste were a bit heavily seasoned, the variety, flavors and authenticity of each dish was great and definitely deserves a return visit. Plus, the owner/server was very helpful and friendly. The tea leaf salad was crisp, curry chicken flavorful but the standout for us was the pineapple fried rice. I've been coming to this restaurant since I discovered it all most one year ago. Don't get stuck on your favorite (which I've done) because the other dishes are just as delicious. Try their Phat Ka Paung. It's a type of stir fry with a lemon grass overtone. I loved it. I now have two favorites : ) My other favorite is their Pork Curry although I never seem to taste any hint of curry in this dish. The owners as exceptionally nice and are willing to go out of their way to make things right for you. read more

I love this place : ) Each time I go, I try a different dish and each dish is incredible. My last dish was their Malar fish. I've also their Malar vegetarian dish. I've also had their pork dish, their fish soup, and the Burmese pan fried noodles. It is true, Thai food and Burmese food are not at all the same. It's new, I'm sure they are working on a shoestring budget, and I've suggested when things pick to add more vegetarian dishes. I've also suggested sometime in the future to have a weekly special if not a daily special. I would like to try Mohinga which is not on the menu. Thai food is hard to beat, for sure. But in time, I think this place will do just well. People need to try this new taste experience. Right now, I believe they are catering to the American taste. But I do hope they add more traditional dishes for Americans to experience. That is why I suggest they have at least a weekly special to give their business a chance for people not experienced with Southeast Asian foods. I like honest opinions which were not as high as others be the determining factor for not trying this special little restaurant with its home-cooked meals. I will support them and wish them the best of luck, and hopefully, they will expand to putting at least a weekly special which will give customers a chance to try other options not on their menu.
