First time in. Decided to try lunch. There are lunch specials. We are not fans of pho per se, but we do enjoy a good seafood boil. The boils are the way to go. You can choose from a wide variety of seafood such as shrimp, mussels, lobster, snow crab etc. once you choose your seafood that you select your flavoring. Choices are Cajun, lemon pepper, garlic butter, or a mix of all three. Lastly, choose your spice level (mild, medium, hot, etc). We both selected the snow crab and snow boil with Cajun seasoning and mild spice. The boils also come with corn, potatoes and a hard boiled egg. Never seen the egg in a boil before. Everything comes out in a big plastic bag in a steel pan. Dump the contents out and prepare to dig in. Let me say that this is not the place to go out all dressed up. The boils are very messy. They give you an apron and plastic gloves, but still a mess. It was delicious. We also got a couple sides of hush puppies which were very tasty as well. Good portions. Everyone enjoyed their meal tonight, the boys ate everything! From the snow crab/shrimp to the Pork chop and rice, to the Pho, everything was delicious! The check came for all 7 of us. Oh boy, what a hidden gem! My wife chose this place for dinner because it had 'cajun' and 'pho' in the name (LOL) - two of our favorite cuisines. I was skeptical initially but boy was I wrong. We had a bunch of things - the Egg Fried Rice, Pork Dumplings, Rice Paper Roll, the Cajun Shrimp boil with corn and a Seafood pancake. Everything was delicious. If I have to nitpick, I'll say the corn wasn't that fresh - and I LOVE corn so that was a minor dampener in an otherwise perfect dinner. A big shout to our server, Leroy. Amazing experience a Cajun Crab & Pho. Located in a crowded strip mall on Saddle Creek, it's an oasis inside. Unexpectedly calming. Ordered a seafood combo of crab, shrimp and sausage. Chose cajun hot. I was not expecting the puffy plastic bag it arrived in! The server was very friendly when I said it was my first visit, explained to me how the bib and gloves worked. I have enough Maryland chops to handle the crab legs. The spice level was just right. It was not too hot and I could probably handle extra hot, but have learned that when it comes to spice level, it's best to start on the mildly hot side and kick it up from there rather than just dive in to a big number because there's no telling how hot the latter might be. I started with the fried spring rolls and had the rare steak pho for an entree. The spring rolls were crispy and fresh, with a tasty sauce as well. I also enjoyed my pho and had plenty for leftovers. The broth had a great flavor, and there was a good amount of noodle, veggies, and meat. I ordered the grilled porkchop plate and it was very tender and very tasty. Additionally, I also ordered the Rice paper rolls that were made with fresh vegetable shrimp and pork with a spicy fish sauce on the side. I love the simple, fresh and healthy treat and I thought it was a great accent to the rest of my meal. My favorite of this order was the #7. Bun Bo Hue - (no fish cake) Beef brisket, pork and lot of fixings to create the total Pho experience. It was the perfect level of spice that had a nice spicy kick but not overwhelming that I could not enjoy. I was so excited that they finally opened. I stopped in for a meal and will be returning. Fair warning, steer clear of the crab rangoon. It might be the worst in town, which is why they got 4 stars and not 5. Otherwise, this is a new restaurant on my rotation. I ordered the snow crab and crawfish which was served in a tin bucket with the food in a bag, and a bib. I of course donned my bib and dug in. You are allowed to rate your spice from 1-5, and while everything was cooked perfectly, I asked for as spicy as they could give me, and it wasn't quite spicy enough. The crab was great, but as a southerner, the crawfish needed a bit more kick. Staff was friendly, nautical themed ambiance was pleasing, and the location is great. While these were decent, the pho and Vietnamese pancake failed to impress :( Pho is one of my favorite go to foods, and my nana is Vietnamese and was excited to try the pancake because she hadn't had one in a while, but we were both left with the feeling of mediocrity. I understand that preparing food is a lot of work, so I am grateful for the meal despite us being impressed. The pho didn't have enough flavor and was simply not hot enough. What an amazing meal. Although some would think our wait seemed excessive, it was worth the wait. The dining room was full and there were only two servers, yet they were kind, helpful and so friendly!!! Ira was our server and he was the best.
