The parking was a bit of a pain but we managed to get a spot. Got there around opening time which is 11AM, but it was surrounded by ALOT of other businesses. It is not a hard spot to miss with the giant two knives on the outside of the building. This place was very spacious. Greeted kindly by a host. We started out with our beverages, Pepsi products. Then ordered an appetizer a basket of cheese curds with spicy ranch. Then came down to the main event. Several protein choices, numerous veggie choices and numerous sauces, depending on how hot they were. We underestimated our portions and went a little overboard first round, but I cannot complain about a single thing. For three people our tab was around $60 which is not bad at all. Another great trip to Hu Hot Mongolian Grill. It was a busy lunch crowd on a Friday at noon, but the employees working the grill got us through very quickly. The cold item station was kept well stocked and very clean. My only constructive feedback is that the restaurant itself could use some TLC. Weekday lunch visit. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were offered a booth or a table. We chose booth and were seated in the same section as every other customer. (Convenient for the staff but hard not to feel sardined-in) We were offered soda and appetizers....but no menu or pricing was given to us. I figured I'd just been up sold on the crab Rangoon and I was. Four of them cost over $6... Yikes. I should have overcome my discomfort and just asked about pricing up front. I think pricing transparency is important to many customers! Overall our meal was enjoyable and delicious but there's room to improve the customer experience! The first time I came here tonight. Absolutely fantastic food. I've always loved Mongolian BBQ, so I was super excited when I moved here to omaha and saw this. The food quality is great,and the cooks were fantastic. The only downside is it's pretty loud due to a lot of children being in the restaurant, but that's something that's unavoidable Make sure to come early because they get super packed super fast. Every 3-6 months, I get a craving for HuHot. I had only ever been to the 72nd location, but found myself in West O with a friend and decided to give this one a shot. After all, chain restaurants differ so little location to location, what could go wrong? First, we got here right at lunch and were surprised to see only one other table occupied. Our waitress was friendly and sat us in a corner booth, right by the bar area, far from the actual buffet area, which we found odd for how empty the place was. But that wasn't a big deal... ...What was a big deal was how thawed out and bad all of the meat smelled. The pork was not frozen and sitting in a slimy puddle of its own juices. The fish were also completely thawed out and smelled pretty gross. We inquired about the safety of room temperature raw meat and were told it was fine. Pretty sure that's not true so we stuck with the precooked sausage and left the raw meats alone. The veggies were well stocked but messy, with lots of things spilled over into the contained next to its original slot. But that's probably inevitable for a buffet. The girl working the grill was super sweet and very funny! I wish I got her name. She grilled our food to perfection. I won't visit this branch again just due to the questionable meat, but it did beat down my craving fairly well. read more

Everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere is magnificent! My grandmother and I like to come here for lunch on occasion, and the staff are very friendly. I have never had an issue with silverware, dirty tables, terrible waiting times (when not busy), etc. The only times there's a wait time is when they're packed and lacking in staff. other than that, the staff is kind and considerate, all of them do such an outstanding job. The food was good but the waitress was terrible! We had to ask for silverware and napkins. Then ask for a refill of our drinks. I always thought that if you were the first to ask for the check, it was given to you. The check was given to another person at our table, when I brought it to her attention and reminded her that I had already asked her for the check she looked at me and said "oh, sorry" and walked off. I took the family to this place for dinner tonight. I chose this establishment because I admired the concept of having your food cooked in front of you so I gave it a shot. We got seated quickly on a Friday night & our waitress greeted us within 5 minutes which was real good timing. Drinks & White Rice were on the table fast & our appetizers came within about 10-15 mins or so. Again, pretty decent timing for a busy Friday night. So we've established their timing is superior & I consider that important customer-service related stuff... Now onto the food... First off, I ordered their potstickers, crab Rangoon, and cheese stick appetizers. I found the potstickers to be some of the worst I've had just about anywhere. They were served crispy & had some sweet sauce with it. The crab Rangoon was way over-done, and the cheese sticks were as well. So they get poor marks on their appetizers across the board. The main course was decent however... I had the beef with fresh green peppers, carrots, a ginger sauce & I thought it was prepared fast, hot , and it tasted great. I came back several times to make pretty much the same dish which turned out well each time. I think the only flaws I noticed in this buffet-style area was their lack of 3 main items; fruit, shrimp, and dessert. It was odd not to see absolutely any of it on the buffet itself. Yeah, they sell cheesecake & some other items for dessert... but with as many kids that patronize this place with their parents... a fresh fruit & ice cream or dessert option would have been ideal. I also found it extremely odd there wasn't any shrimp available to cook with all the other proteins they offered. I mean; This is an Asian diner basically...I've never seen one of ANY sort not offer shrimp of some kind...They had imitation crab, some fish... but no shrimp! ... So, in summation, with a combination of great service, decent-freshly-prepared food, poor appetizers, limited food selection... I found myself leaving here kind of wishing they had picked up on these deficiencies in their menu & wishing I had chosen to eat at a Chinese Buffet with a much larger selection for a similar price tag. I found myself with a bit of anxiety at the thought that this place could have been much much better then it was. So, overall, this HuHot Buffet earns my 3 star...So-so-rating.... read more

Food was fresh, flavors were fine. Grill looked colder then it should be. It did not sear the noodles or cook the meat as I'd expect. Also, grill guy wasn't thrilled when I asked him to use separate spatula for my food vs the seafood next to me. It's a solid effort and the price was great value but not my fav. read more

My son and I ate at HuHot for his birthday. We arrived at 430 pm for an early supper. This is the first time we visited this HuHot location. It is newer restaurant. I was impressed that the manager was checking the temperature of the food at the buffet. I was impressed. The waiter was friendly. The reason for the lower rating was the items on the buffet. A lot of items on the buffet were lower end items such as chopped breaded chicken nuggets. They did not offer items like shrimp or calamari for dinner like other locations. The selection of items seemed less than other locations. It seemed like the manager wanted to maximize profit by cutting corners on the buffet. The person working the grill acted like he didn't want to be there. He spent more time standing around than cooking the food. He maybe stirred each dish once. My food was unevenly cooked. The waiter did a poor job. We had to flag him down to pay our bill and refills on drinks. There were not a lot of people at the restaurant. We will not go back to this HuHot location. read more

$$$ Prices keep going up. Use to love this place but now we only go if we receive a gift card and even then we end up still paying out of pocket. They act like it is a 5 star joint with prices but it loud and crowded. Expect to pay $4 for a soda in a kids cup and constantly asking for refills. Sad. read more

Visited 1/3/12. My wife and two kids (ages 2 and 8) visited for lunch. They've loved the place in the past and have gone there just about monthly for different occasions. Everything was fine until my wife and son discovered a piece of uncooked chicken in his meal. My wife instructed him to stop eating. He was still hungry due to his meal being cut short, so my wife promised a dessert as a treat. They ordered the s'mores, unclear that this particular dessert came complete with an open flame. They were do-it-yourself s'mores. During the process my 2-year old daughter was burned. She had reached (as 2 year olds often do) toward the pot and flame. As she screamed in pain, my wife jammed her hand into some icewater and told the staff to 'just bring the bill quick.' The best part? They DID. We should not have had to pay for this circus. Sure, Chinese places are as common as corn in Nebraska, but Mongolian? When I first heard of it, this was a new concept. I wasn't sure what to expect, but when I visited I was very satisfied. All you can eat, menu items that aren't restricted to a noodle bar, and skilled chefs who know what they're doing. These are attributes to HuHot and I have never experienced a negative here. My experience at the huhot on 66th here in Lincoln was the best ever. Kudos big time to Ronnie on the grill he was polite with an outstanding personality. Food there was great. A few redundancies here and there (garlic hot sauce, chili garlic sauce, garlic spicy hot sauce, spicy hot mega garlic sauce) but if you're savvy, you mix it well and then some Not Mongolians fry it up for you on this massive circular food torture device that's a relative to a McDonald's grill. Only fueled by FLAMES FROM HELL. So it was good. And Boulevard tap beer is a nice complement. I've been to a place like this before in Arizona which is what I'm comparing this to (YCs Mongolian) I like the idea of picking your own ingredients and seeing it cooked in front of you. However, if you get a to-go order, they become more stingy on the amount of food you put in your bowl. The manager at the time we went for takeout (short haired woman) made a rude remark on the amount of food I had in my to-go plate. She wasn't very friendly either and it seemed like we were annoying her by being there. I would give this place 1 star but I did come there once before and actually sat down to eat. It was not bad service based on the waiter I had. It was the second time when I got takeout that just put a bad taste in my mouth. I haven't been back since. read more

I was craving some Mongolian so I stopped in here for a quick bite. Veggies are pretty fresh and the staff was vigilant in keeping it well stocked. Compared to some other Mongolian Grill's I've been to, they lacked a bit of variety especially when it came to sauces. The pineapple was canned and not fresh which didn't grill up very nicely. Staff was friendly and attentive. The ambience for a Sunday evening was pretty busy and quite loud in the main dining area and a little less noisy if you sat on the side by the grill itself. My family and I have been going to this HuHot for a long time and it has always been excellent. My father often goes there on his lunches, to the point where they even knew him by name when we'd walk in. However, this particular location seems to be under new management now and I have to say that I am not impressed with certain aspects. As we went to the grill, I noticed that the place was not that busy. There were three cooks at the grill who were not paying attention and we waited for them to realize we were standing there, ready to have our food cooked. When I finally said "excuse me" the cook looked upset that I had interrupted them. Again, I emphasize that the place was not busy at the time. When they were cooking our food, they combined my ingredients, with my mother's. I didn't mind so much but she is a picky eater. Honest mistake probably, but it was upsetting that they did not seem to be paying much attention to what was going on. When the manager came over to deal with the issue, she just said "I'm sorry" and walked off. I feel that the store should have comped her meal on the bill for the inconvenience, or at least suggest that she grab another plate and go back up. I will be giving this store another shot as we have been going there for years. I hope to see an improvement. I will update following my next visit. read more

HuHot is definitely one of the best places to eat. We always choose the all you can eat option. There's a "raw" bar with raw meat, slightly cooked noodles, and a wide variety of vegetables. You choose whatever you want and then pour your choice of sauce(s) onto your creation, then bring it to the chefs where they will cook it right in front of you. I ordered HuHot for delivery through DoorDash. The ordering process is extensive as you can probably imagine. But, the DoorDash app makes it as easy as possible. It's even better than ordering through the HuHot website. But they got everything pretty much the way that I wanted it. I was shocked when it arrived. My order and the rice that came with it were huge!!! The only negative was either the Krab or the tofu tasted a little off. But there wasn't enough of either of them to know for sure which was the problem. Also, I would have liked a little sear especially on the meats and harder veggies. But overall, it was a good experience and I'd do it again. read more

We've always been a fan! I think this location is cleaner than the one on Dodge and it's much closer. I love the Betker's Ginger sauce.

Great place to fill up on great Asian food. I like to mix my sauces to get a good flavor that also has a good burn. The cooks always grimace when my food hits the grill then reaches their nostrils. Poor guys. Lol. Last visit there my waitress told me her favorite sauce mixture, I tried it. It was even hotter than what I made. Can't wait to go back and do it again. read more
