I'm not a huge fan of Chinese buffets in general, but my husband's mother wanted to go here for Mother's Day, and this one is actually pretty good. The vibe is pretty similar to all buffets you've probably been to before, pretty bustling and loud. We came at around 6pm before the big dinner rush. We thought this may help to beat the crowds, but it actually meant the food was still pretty picked over from the lunch rush. We got our plates with the few things that were still looking pretty fresh, and felt a little defeated. However, when we went back up for a second plate/dessert, everything was refilled and looked refreshed and steaming! So I grabbed a tasting portion (to not waste food) of almost all the main dishes: -Beef Broccoli -Sesame Chicken -General Tso Chicken -Mongolian Beef -Honey Chicken -Teriyaki Chicken -Broccoli Chicken -Fried Rice The chicken dishes were hit or miss. The teriyaki chicken was quite dry, but the teriyaki sauce on it was tasty. The sesame and honey chicken were pretty similar and sweet. The broccoli chicken was my favorite because it was nice white meat chicken in a rich gravy sauce. Both beef dishes were pretty good and a little more flavorful than the chicken options. I put the Mongolian beef sauce in my fried rice to give it a little flavor, and I definitely recommend that. The desserts were the same story. A little hit or miss, but the ones that were good were REALLY good. Some of the cake options were a little dry, but the stars were the soft serve ice cream (the machine is over by the Mongolian grill), and the Mocha mousse coffee cake! The service was great, and we had a server take our empty plates away immediately and ask us if we needed any soda refills at least six times. Like I said most options were pretty hit or miss. But of all the Chinese buffets in Omaha, I think this might be the best one.

Most of the food I've had here is very, very good. It's buffet quality, but that doesn't mean it's bad. The tempura chicken is literally some of the best chicken I've ever had. The Mongolian beef is amazing, and of course, the normal Chinese buffet staples are good. I was a little disappointed in the crab Rangoons, and I tend to stay away from the Mongolian grill side of it (there are better ones in the area like hu hot) But you really can't go wrong with the vast majority of the food here,it's well worth the price. The servers are always very, very attentive and are always refilling your drinks and taking plates from your table, and sometimes nearly the second you're done, which is amazing. So the service is for sure a 5/5. Lastly, the ambiance of the restaurant. It's a buffet so there are a lot of children, and it's very, very loud , but that's to be expected and I obviously won't bring down a place for that. We've been here twice in the last 2 weeks and had a great time both times, so we will be back.

Back again and was it ever busy tonight. Food is fresh and always enough for everyone. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Overall another good visit.

There's something here for everyone! Our whole family enjoys coming here. We really like the Mongolian grill-we pile up a couple bowls with our favorite proteins, veggies & sauces, then watch the cook heat it over a Mongolian grill-served at just the right temperature with everything you love to eat! To my surprise I seen a pan with whole tilapia fish-head in tack! I was leery at first, but had to try it! So happy I did b/c it was the best tilapia fish I've ever ate!!! Delicious! Props to the chef on this one! The buffet is always fully loaded with the popular Chinese dishes that include: beef, chicken, and vegetarian. Plus there's plenty of desserts to choose from if you're not too full! Hard to pass up the sugary donuts!? Service is always good & the place is kept clean.

The grill always beats the buffet here. They have several options to suit your taste

This place is good for lunch, especially if you don't have an hour to spend. At $7.59 it isn't priced too high either. Don't expect the chicken at the buffet to be tender - almost every type is cooked a little too long and then sits in the warmer. (True for the last 5 visits.) The grill is good, though. It's hard to beat fresh grilled vegetables and meat of your choice for the price. It's at 3 stars for me because there are a few places in other parts of town that are 4 or 5 because the buffet is better in selection and freshness.

Great food, nice people around. I would like to see coconut shrimp in a menu but that's alright. Good place overall.

It is pretty inexpensive, but unfortunately, you definitely get what you pay for in that respect. The decor is pretty cute, with little Pixiu dragons outside the entrance, high vaulted ceilings in the dining area letting lots of natural light in, and murals of different Chinese cities. But what really matters is the food when you're there for a meal, and the offerings were pretty standard, but nothing to write home about or plan a return visit. At any buffet, I like to get a small amount of each thing I'd like to try, instead of one large plate of one entree (I would go to non-buffet option for that). I started with a few appetizer style items: -Corn: This tasted like canned corn that you'd have at home, so a little disappointing. -Lo Mein: Okay for lo mein noodles, but pretty dry. I mixed this with some of the sauce of the proteins I got, so that helped. -Crab Rangoon: Not the best Rangoon I've ever had, but I did like the shape (little flower bud style) and the thinner consistency of the wonton. -Pork Bao: I was excited for this, but it ended up being very doughy with one tiny sliver of the Pork inside. For the entrees, I had small portions of a handful of them: -Black Pepper Chicken: This was actually pretty tasty and flavorful with the pepperiness. -Pepper Steak: This was similar to the Black Pepper Chicken, but it was a non-breaded style like the chicken had been so a different consistency. -Peanut Butter Chicken: One of my go-to favorites when I go to Chinese restaurants. This one was pretty dry and crispy so not the best texture of flavor I've had for this dish. -Broccoli Chicken: Another of my favorites usually, and this one wasn't terrible. The brown sauce was nice and the chicken was pretty juicy. -General Tso Chicken: I think this was my favorite of the entrees I tried. It had the sweetness along with a slight spice, so it wasn't a one-note flavor or too sweet, like some can be. And then for the dessert options, there were a few hits and misses: -The fried donuts were amazing, but you HAVE to eat them when they are hot and fresh. They become hard as a rock if you let them get cold. -There was a dark chocolate cake, that was the driest thing I had ever put in my mouth. I don't recommend that cake. -They had a cooler with Blue Bunny ice cream, and you can't go wrong with that. -There was an eclair style cake that was pretty dry so I wouldn't recommend that either. -Coconut Cake: I don't even like coconut usually, but this was pretty fluffy and delicious. The coconut was shaved on top so it wasn't as offensive of a coconut flavor as usual. Overall, this definitely is not the best Chinese buffet in Omaha (it's not even in the conversation), but it's a passable option if you have no other way to get to one of the better options in town.

My husband and I invited our daughter and family to dine with us on this beautiful Sunday. We had 5 adults and two children, 10 and 12 years of age. We were seated right in front of the buffet where the traffic was none stop. When asked if we could be seated a little away from the buffet, the hostess stated there were zones. So we stayed where we were seated and felt very uncomfortable. Our waitress just kind of disappeared after bringing our drinks to the table. My son in law never received the beer he order and we never had any refills on our drinks. The used plates were stacking on the table and our waitress was still no where to be found. We really felt like we were not customers instead of more like intruders. I have eaten all over the world and never have I been treated like we were. To top things off when we received the receipt, it had an extra charge of $24.84 for having a party of 6 or more. I would not mind the charge if it was explained to us before hand and our service was great. So Diners BEWARE! Great Authentic food would be great if it was in an inviting environment with great customer service. My recommendation would be to find another more family friendly or customer oriented restaurant.

While we still love Rodizio, I can see why people love Texas de Brazil as well! We came after a full day at the zoo with a toddler. He had missed his nap so he was quite crabby. The staff was very patient and accommodating to us. I'm pregnant and they explained which mocktails they were able to make (so many options!!). They had several appetizer options, which my toddler enjoyed. The table was wobbly and the manager was very quick to come over and address it and fix it and we had no further issues with it the entire time. Having a toddler is very high stress at times, especially if a missed nap is involved. The staff was very nice to us and reassured us that we are no nuisance. You can just do the salad bar which is still a ton of food, but then you miss out on all the meats which in my opinion is the best part. The salad bar was really big, and had tons of things I enjoyed from cous cous, tabbouleh, a seafood curry, cured meats/cheeses, and fresh pineapple seasoned with some spices. Proceed with caution though. For meats--I mostly stuck with steaks and beef, because you will fill up quick. Loved the flank steak, filet mignons, spicy sirloin, beef rib. I did try the grilled shrimp and one of the chickens, but was passing on most of these and pork options so I didn't have to turn down more filet mignon. They also bring out French fries, mashed potatoes, and a plantain dish for the table, don't fill up here. I do enjoy the cheese bread bites that are also included though. Drinks--we enjoyed the traditional Brazilian rum cocktail, caipirinha, passion fruit was good but strawberry was my favorite. Also loved the dessert espresso martini, which was just simply Liquor43, espresso, and chocolate syrup, but it was amazing and a perfect complement after noshing out on meat. The dessert menu is also intense. Service was good, however my only feedback would be the timing of the gauchos coming very fast after the salad bar trip. I understand them trying to make sure we get to try all the dishes, but there was no room left on the plate, and you worry if you pass it up, they may not come by again with that meat. The first round was nonstop and a bit overwhelming, this could be slowed a bit to give time to try what you like. Restaurant is exquisite inside, fancy, a good date night spot.
