This place was ok. Anything fried was solid. But I hate to pay so much for food that just wasn't good. I brought my kids so they could try different flavors to broaden their American Chinese palate but there wasn't that much variety for chicken dishes. My son wouldn't eat the wings because they were too fatty. The sushi is super rice heavy but otherwise ok. The service was great though! Everyone was really nice. read more

Great restaurant to go to! It had a very great convenient location right off 147th and Maple Street A crossed from Lowe's home improvement! The outside of the building was very neat and modern the parking lot was clean and adequate! I was able to park right up front and walk in. We walked in and took a look at the menu board and they had very good prices. The host greeted Us and asked if we would like to be seated. When we were at the table the host took our drink orders and a server walked up shortly and introduced himself. He explained he would get our drinks and be taken care of our table as well as the check at the end of the meal. The server was very friendly and did a very good job we stack the empty plates up at the end of the table And he took them away. He refilled our drinks and was very pleasant. At the end of the meal he gave us our ticket and told us he would take the payment of the table. He did a great job. I think it was their policy to tip 15% for service, we decided to tip 25%. For a Chinese buffet it beat my expectations. Went in expecting to get Mongolian grill which is included in the total dinner price $13.50 I believe...but options plentiful including seafood dishes that weren't covered in brown sauce (mock crab w veggies, garlic shrimp, and tip: you can swipe shelled mussels off the Mongolian side) and green beans and broccoli that arent swimming in oil. If you like fried appetizers there were a lot of different kinds. All pans were kept stocked and looked hot and fresh. They had some sushi and a couple desserts but those were pretty weak and basic. There is an ice cream machine. Looks like you can do a one trip togo box too. Got in and out very quickly read more

I used to love this place when I lived in Omaha, so I was excited to go back but was extremely disappointed and will never return. Our server was friendly and attentive, but the only food that wasn't dripping with grease was the sushi. Both my friend and I had stomach issues immediately after eating. Perhaps it was just an off day, but I cannot believe this is the same company as the one in Bellevue (which is so good)! Crab rangoon served tepid is just disgusting. Instead of the stuffing being hot and creamy, it's just cold and grey blob. Yech! Hot & Sour soup had that slightly off taste and seemed a little diluted. Certainly not rich and savory like the other place. Same product, same recipe or just cutting corners? Egg rolls not labeled. Is it Pork, Chicken or Vegetable? Some people want to know. Fried fish? What type of fish exactly? We got there just after 11 am so everything seemed reasonably fresh (some of it slow in coming out), but it was all just BLAND. General Tsao's Chicken was so mild to the point of almost being flavorless! Maybe they are trying to save money on seasonings and spices. Even the Hot Mustard was super runny with very little flavor and No heat whatsoever! To top it off, no one bothered to fill the ice cream machine. Who is running this place? It's tough to have bad service at a buffet but this place accomplished it. We had to ask multiple times for refills, plates weren't removed and we had to wait on the check. Some of the food was quite good - the broccoli chicken was surprisingly good - but most was standard, fried buffet fare. That's expected. I see a mention that the buffet is clean - that's not at all what I experienced and saw. I saw kids running around, sticking their hands on food and dishes and even sticking their fingers up the ice cream machine. One was licking crumbs off of a serving dish. I told a worker there and she just laughed. I saw nothing to give me confidence in even basic sanitary procedures. read more

Lots of food on the trays and everything was very cold to the touch and was obviously sitting out for multiple hours. Waited for new food to come out and im unsure why but it was cold when it got brought out fresh? I have tried to like China Buffet better but sadly I think they have just let the quality control go down. I don't think I will return anytime soon. read more

The food is great. The service was not. I had asked the staff in front for a togo box and explained that I had bariatric surgery. This would allow me to eat with my family instead of just sitting there. They agreed and gave me a box. I got some food together and went upfront to pay for it while the rest of my family plated up. Another staff member came up and said that it would not be possible to eat the food in the restaurant. This was embarrassing to me due to the tone of the conversation and was not my fault in the slightest. The staff then inquired if I would still like to purchase the food. After this I declined to do so. The staff would rather throw the food in the trash than agree to let me eat it as a one time exception. I sat down with the rest of my family and did not eat. I know its not a big deal to most but they treated me poorly and I will not be returning. read more

As far as Chinese buffets go, this is about as good as it gets! They have all of the staples that make a great buffet, as well as a Mongolian grill where they grill your food fresh in front if you. They also have sushi, which is normally a no no at a buffet, but theirs is actually pretty decent. My favorite items are the yum yum chicken (which is all white meat), crab rangoon, fried rice, and the low mien noodles. Even if you usually hate buffets, you should really give this one a chance! read more

Our go to restaurant when we have no dinner plans for Christmas. It was later at night and they were still fairly busy. The buffet was getting a little messy but it was stocked and the food was good, especially the honey chicken. Lots of selections and a decent price. Taylor was our server. Alright so to start off the food is alright isn't horrible, I encountered an issue with this Resturant with my credit card as the server I had the night I went "Kristen" over charged me As giving herself her own tip out of my card I contacted my credit card company as well as the company they issued me the refund of what she charged plus 20 gift card I tried to respect the business by going back but only to pay with cash and the same server that took her own tip out on my card was working and was running to every other server and kept staring and whispering whatever she had to say. We go here whenever we have the craving for quick Chinese because it's right across the street from our house. The Mongolian ingredient selection is pretty awesome! It's one of our favorite things to get and if you get it as a takeout box it's a pretty cheap and tasty meal. The buffet is decent, pretty standard Chinese buffet. Again, we prefer to use a takeout box because it's much cheaper than dining in. The servers are pretty meh, I always feel like I'm waiting around for refills or a check when we dine in. LOVED THIS PLACE! Normally when I get Chinese food, it's from Panda Express (not my favorite) and this time I wanted something more and I got it! They had an awesome Sushi bar- the only thing wrong was that it had no labels so I had no idea what was what. Other then that the food was good and the place was clean. Nice decor and what seemed to me like the perfect staff! They were super friendly and made me and my boyfriend feel like valued customers. Okay, let me preface this by saying I've been to this restaurant many times and had great service. This is mostly about last week (11.21.13.) I went with a group of 12 co-workers for lunch. The food was hot, there was plenty of it and it was tasty. Where things fell down was on service and blatantly mischarging my credit card! About halfway through lunch, the waiter took my glass to refill it. It was the last time I saw it even after I mentioned my refill at least 3 times and was assured it was coming. They charge you $1.99 for sodas knowing you will get several refills. I didn't pay $1.99 for a single serving! When our bill arrived an automatic 15% gratuity was added for our large party (really, 15% for someone to clear away plays and refill drinks) which I would normally give anyway. Given my lackluster service, I discounted the tip $1.00, wrote a note on the receipt as to why, put down the new total and signed it. A few days later I checked online and noticed they'd charged me the original bill amount! Fortunately I took a picture of my bill with my cell phone prior to leaving! I plan on taking this up with my credit card company. This restaurant has lost me as a customer. read more

Use to be one of my favorites. Not even in the top 10 for me. Went last Saturday Night. The egg roles were greasy, the Sesame Chicken pan empty and the refried rice pan was empty. Was disappointed that they removed the crab legs from the menu but no cheaper. REALLY. I also think they might have changed Chefs. Food isn't what it use to be. I'm SO upset with China Buffet now. They have had Chinese Dragon Dancers on Chinese New Year for years. It is a family tradition for us to go and we usually get a group of about 12-15 friends to go with us. The kids love it. But not this year. Chinese New Year's is Tues. Feb. 8. First of all, they didn't know until a day or so ago what time they were even going to have the dancers. But best of all, they've decided to have them on Saturday, not Tuesday. That's like celebrating New Year's on Dec. 28th. But they didn't even tell us that until today. Now people have to work of have other plans, so our annual celebration is cancelled. So now we're going to be something else this year. So sad that they couldn't be more organized and celebrate on the actual holiday. read more
