Service was good but variety of food options and quality was just okay. The dessert options were kind of lacking. The soft serve was really cheap tasting and the jello was practically inedible. The place was relatively clean. Overall I wouldn't come back to this particular buffet unless the quality of the food got better.

The buffet is ehhh. The Mongolian grill is top notch !!! Highly recommend! My son goes nuts over the noodles with yummy sauce on it. Anytime we come to Bellevue, we stop here for a quick meal. My son constantly wants take out . Service is okay and it also has a normal vibe on a good safe area near the Air Force base.

I'm updating my review from last time based on their buffet. I usually opt for their Mongolian, but today I felt like ordering off the buffet. I arrived five minutes after opening and the two buffet tables were already fully loaded with all their foods. Everything looked great, but the sesame chicken was lukewarm, overcooked, super crunchy. The beef and broccoli was lukewarm. The crab rangoons were somewhat overcooked as well. I will say their teriyaki chicken tasted pretty good. I think I will stick with Mongolian from now on.

Overall a very delightful dish. Time of day really matters at this location as food stations were adequately stocked. I do enjoy the Mongolian stir fry.

The Grand China Buffet is super close to our house and we hadn't been there in a long time, so…read moredecided to pop in recently. It is pretty inexpensive, but unfortunately, you definitely get what you pay for in that respect. The decor is pretty cute, with little Pixiu dragons outside the entrance, high vaulted ceilings in the dining area letting lots of natural light in, and murals of different Chinese cities. But what really matters is the food when you're there for a meal, and the offerings were pretty standard, but nothing to write home about or plan a return visit. At any buffet, I like to get a small amount of each thing I'd like to try, instead of one large plate of one entree (I would go to non-buffet option for that). I started with a few appetizer style items: -Corn: This tasted like canned corn that you'd have at home, so a little disappointing. -Lo Mein: Okay for lo mein noodles, but pretty dry. I mixed this with some of the sauce of the proteins I got, so that helped. -Crab Rangoon: Not the best Rangoon I've ever had, but I did like the shape (little flower bud style) and the thinner consistency of the wonton. -Pork Bao: I was excited for this, but it ended up being very doughy with one tiny sliver of the Pork inside. For the entrees, I had small portions of a handful of them: -Black Pepper Chicken: This was actually pretty tasty and flavorful with the pepperiness. -Pepper Steak: This was similar to the Black Pepper Chicken, but it was a non-breaded style like the chicken had been so a different consistency. -Peanut Butter Chicken: One of my go-to favorites when I go to Chinese restaurants. This one was pretty dry and crispy so not the best texture of flavor I've had for this dish. -Broccoli Chicken: Another of my favorites usually, and this one wasn't terrible. The brown sauce was nice and the chicken was pretty juicy. -General Tso Chicken: I think this was my favorite of the entrees I tried. It had the sweetness along with a slight spice, so it wasn't a one-note flavor or too sweet, like some can be. And then for the dessert options, there were a few hits and misses: -The fried donuts were amazing, but you HAVE to eat them when they are hot and fresh. They become hard as a rock if you let them get cold. -There was a dark chocolate cake, that was the driest thing I had ever put in my mouth. I don't recommend that cake. -They had a cooler with Blue Bunny ice cream, and you can't go wrong with that. -There was an eclair style cake that was pretty dry so I wouldn't recommend that either. -Coconut Cake: I don't even like coconut usually, but this was pretty fluffy and delicious. The coconut was shaved on top so it wasn't as offensive of a coconut flavor as usual. Overall, this definitely is not the best Chinese buffet in Omaha (it's not even in the conversation), but it's a passable option if you have no other way to get to one of the better options in town.

My husband and I invited our daughter and family to dine with us on this beautiful Sunday. We had 5 adults and two children, 10 and 12 years of age. We were seated right in front of the buffet where the traffic was none stop. When asked if we could be seated a little away from the buffet, the hostess stated there were zones. So we stayed where we were seated and felt very uncomfortable. Our waitress just kind of disappeared after bringing our drinks to the table. My son in law never received the beer he order and we never had any refills on our drinks. The used plates were stacking on the table and our waitress was still no where to be found. We really felt like we were not customers instead of more like intruders. I have eaten all over the world and never have I been treated like we were. To top things off when we received the receipt, it had an extra charge of $24.84 for having a party of 6 or more. I would not mind the charge if it was explained to us before hand and our service was great. So Diners BEWARE! Great Authentic food would be great if it was in an inviting environment with great customer service. My recommendation would be to find another more family friendly or customer oriented restaurant.

The music was fun and a good vibe once you got used to it but I likely wouldn't return on a Friday. The food is absolutely delicious and their chorizo and homemade corn tortillas is some of the best i've had in Omaha's. I highly recommend the combo fajita and swapping the steak for chorizo. The portion size is large and you will have enough for leftovers which still tastes great the next day. The servers were friendly and attentive. The drinks were good and refreshing and overall a great mexican restaurant to dine in, would highly recommend!

It may not be the five-star dining experience of our dreams, but when Dad's happy, we're happy. We rolled into GC around 5 p.m., navigating the minefield of potholes in the parking lot like seasoned pros. Inside, the lack of a line was a promising sign--fewer people meant a lower chance of mystery food cross-contamination. (I prefer my pudding without a surprise serving of macaroni salad, thank you very much.) With drinks in hand (Diet Coke for me, tea for my husband, and a classic Coke for Dad), we took our seats by the window and embarked on our buffet adventure. I started with my usual--a crisp iceberg salad with all the fixings, plus a side of fresh pineapple. So far, so good. Then came the nachos, a buffet staple that never truly impresses but always finds its way onto my plate. Chips? Check. Cheese sauce? Check. Pico and jalapeños? Check. The taco meat? Still suspiciously greasy. Some traditions never change. Since I tend to favor sides over mains, my plate was a sampler of comfort food: fried fish (always a winner), a handful of popcorn shrimp, mac and cheese, steamed carrots, green beans (a little southern flair with bacon), sweet potato casserole, and mashed potatoes with corn and gravy. The fish, when doused in a little Texas Pete, was an easy win. The green beans were solid. The mac and cheese? A tragic disappointment--cold, bland, and utterly lifeless. But I rallied, rounding things out with a last-minute mini churro grab. Sadly, my favorite chicken wings were missing in action during my first pass. But on my second lap? Victory. Fresh, crispy, and piping hot. The GC redemption arc was complete. Dessert was a DIY ice cream sandwich--two chocolate chip cookies sandwiching some struggling soft-serve from the perpetually overworked ice cream machine. A sweet end to a solid meal. My only real heartbreak? No gummy bears for my usual ice cream topping. A buffet betrayal. Golden Corral may not be winning any Michelin stars, but it's reliable, consistent, and (most importantly) Dad-approved. Plus, our server, Jade, kept the drinks flowing and the table cleared, making for a smooth experience. At the end of the day, sometimes it's less about the food and more about the company--and in that department, GC delivered. I'm sure we will return in the future (especially if the gummy bears make a comeback).

I'm not a huge fan of Chinese buffets myself, usually, but if they are great ones, I will make an exception. This one is good, not great - but I will definitely return. It's a little more crowded from my experience than the one on 144th, but the staff is great and is wonderful about clearing plates and keeping the tables clean. I usually grab a tasting portion (to not waste food) of almost all the main dishes, like Beef Broccoli, Sesame Chicken, General Tso Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Honey Chicken, and more. The chicken dishes were inconsistent. The teriyaki chicken was dry but flavorful, while the sesame and honey chicken were pretty similar and sweet. The broccoli chicken was my favorite, due to its white meat and rich gravy. Both beef dishes were more flavorful than the chicken options. I recommend adding Mongolian beef sauce to your fried rice. One thing I tried here that I hadn't done at the 144th location was the Mongolian grill. I tried to re-create my Hu Hot dish, and got it pretty close. I definitely recommend trying the Mongolian grill out to make your own dish that you'll definitely like (or blame yourself for picking bad ingredients for the mix LOL) The desserts were hit or miss, but the soft serve ice cream and Mocha mousse coffee cake were excellent. Overall, this China Buffet is one notch below its Western brethren, but it's still a solid choice and I will return since it's a lot closer to my house.
