China buffet is definitely a busy place! There is just so much food to choose from for the money, I guess is what keeps people coming back! The food here is okay, although I actually think some other buffets have better crab rangoons and mushrooms (two of my favorite things from chinese buffets). The reason why I think their crab rangoons and mushrooms are not that great is because the crab rangoons lack flavor and the mushrooms, well, they taste as if they were sitting a while even though my friend and I went just as soon as they opened for lunch! My family and I have been eating here regularly since they opened and have never been disappointed with the food. Sometimes the service is lacking - typically in terms of, "You're ready to leave? Here's you bill. I'm going to disappear for the next 15 minutes." We usually go on Tuesdays for Kids Eat Free which makes it a great deal price-wise if you have children under 10. read more

I'm not a big fan of this place. You're usually met with a big line extending all the way to the entrance, so getting a table can be a real hassle when coming here on it's busy days. Once you get in, it's still pretty annoying with all of the crowded tables, and the loud conversations that emit from the customers as well as the sound of kids screaming & babies crying most of the time. After being sat down finally, I can get up and go to the buffet. Sometimes I have to sift through 2-3 plates before I find a reasonably clean one to eat off of. The Lo Mein is always mistreated; it is usually sour, crunchy & stale from being left our for several hours/a day or two so I try to stay away from that. Other than that, the rice seems to taste okay and the egg rolls as well as the crab rangoons here are of average quality; not extremely good but not bad either. The buffet seems to lack hygiene. The employees will scoop up food scraps that fell from people's plates onto the germy buffet counter back into the buffet tubs for people to put on their plate & eat, which I found pretty disgusting considering the fact that kids are frequently left unsupervised resulting in them going up to the buffet after picking their nose, putting their hand in their mouth, etc... and they begin touching the counter as well as the food tongs. The tables and chairs are usually full of crumbs that we have to dust off ourselves, as well as the tables that also possess the same non-hygienic traits. The floors aren't really much better, with the crumbs & moldy stains and all. I don't feel healthy when I eat here; I feel like I'm grabbing a desperate unsanitary bite of food. The cups that we drink out of look like they aren't totally washed & tend to have lip marks on them. It's been close to a decade since I've eaten here, and you can probably guess why. I will probably continue to stay away from this place because I can't find a good reason to come here. Some of the food may TASTE good, but by all means it is not healthy in any way, shape or form. I know where the food ends up & where it has previously been. I've observed how the employees "clean" this establishment. This place is a legitimate health hazard. read more

Kudos to the staff and management! Nothing but smiles and friendly service. To expect good food, service and value from a lunch buffet after 1 p.m. is usually a stretch; this was exceptional on a Monday nonetheless! The hot & sour soup was very tasty with a nice thick broth. Crab rangoon was stuffed full and delicious. Everything was pipping hot, fresh and delicious! Sadly I was too full to hit the grill (next time). Grill offerings were plentiful including shrimp, scallops, mussels and salmon. Even the ice cream did not disappoint. The place appeared very clean. Saw hustle from the bussers. Like most chinese buffets, this a cattle corral. The food is very typical of what you get any other chinese buffet, almost like they all share the same supplier. My 2 stars come from two things: 1. Got under cooked scallops a the mongolian line, felt awful the rest of the day. 2. They are quick to give you your ticket and get you out of there, kind of like stop eating out our food. As far as Chinese buffets go this isn't too bad! I here periodically for lunch, and I get the tempura shrimp, lo mein noodles and teriyaki beef.. Been to some Chinese buffet places that may not seem the cleanest, taste the greatest.. but this place definitely excels in this realm. Also finish your buffet with either vanilla or chocolate ice cream. At Least it was Vegan Visited with family at 5pm which was good because when we left at 6pm it started to get really busy on a Thursday. The food quality is good-the vegetables cooked to perfection and fresh. The buffet was kept stocked and clean. Staff friendly and cheerful. Staff regularly removed used plates when needed. Prices were in line for the area. The surroundings were a pleasant and clean, open and cheerful. I REALLY wanted to like this place because I could get the Mongolian BBQ vegan and my omnivore extended family could get what they want. But I found the sauces bland. I asked if the mushrooms or Teriyaki green beans on the buffet were cooked in butter,which of course is NOT authentic Chinese. I was TOLD no, got some and then 5 minutes later told the mushrooms WERE cooked with dairy. The Teriyaki green beans were also bland, and if done right I would order just a plate of that. So everything was wonderful except the food was tasteless and FULL of oil. I could see the oil sheen on the Mongolian BBQ sauces and I guess there was just TOO MUCH oil because I woke up at midnight with a rock feeling in my stomach that kept me awake for 3 hours. So if you eat lots of grease regularly and don't mind 120 calories per tablespoon of oil, then you'll be fine. But I won't be going back and am bummed. read more

Not the best buffet I've been to. 50/50 on food. We came at a busy time so it was replenished well, but quite a few things were cool, not cold, but not as warm as we prefer. We didn't try mongolian but the grill was clean and the selection of meat looked good. Little pink desserts were good, jello was literally as hard as plastic, ice cream was good! Also, perk of QUALITY chopsticks. Overall health wise it was fairly clean looking, floors were kept, table was clean. Busy, but servers were so polite and seating everyone quickly. read more

The crab is hot, the shrimp comes in a few varieties, including peel-n-eat. Other than that, I stick to the Mongolian BBQ. I recommend getting 2 bowls, 1 for meat/noodles and one for veggies. Why oh why do I keep going back? Me and my man-slave come here - not often, but not rarely either. Granted Sundays are always a happy time for Kit time because it involves my ever so juicy crab legs...but, the buffet food is so-so. The egg drop soup is more like melted cornstarch with egg flavoring and the rest of the options are the same staples as seen on any other buffet. I suppose the benefit China Buffet has is that if I want all you can eat Mongolian and he wants all you can eat Chinese, it's an all in one quick stop. The Mongolian bar isn't bad, although I have questioned the freshness of their meats. If you go to a hot spot Mongolian place in Omaha (name not listed as I don't think cross-advertising is allowed), the meat is still mostly frozen, only thawed enough to grab individual pieces. Here the meat is so thawed it sticks together...hmm. I haven't gotten sick yet, so I'll probably keep going back. However, I have not been back as frequently as I used to because they raised their prices, without raising the choices available. read more

An employee bringing food out for refill put the food down, did a side air sneeze, picked the food up and put it on the buffet. Not bad at all for less than $10. tray-line buffet, "Mongolian grill", salad bar, dessert bar, soft serve ice cream, and more. The food is a bit grease heavy, but what Chinese food isnt? I am not a fan of this place but my son wanted to go. I usually end up with very bad shits afterwards. Today the sweet and sour chicken was very cooked, some even to the point of being almost black. The fried dumplings were dark and soft. There are a number of other Chinese restaurants and buffets available with much better food for the price. It is also not appealing to have someone sweeping the carpet next to you as you eat. This particular visit no one ever took the dirty plates off the table or offered a drink refill until we were ready to leave. I find this to be a mediocre buffet. For the price you would think there was more on the buffet side but it was mainly the mongolian grill. They fried whole tilapia. All the scales everything fried, which made it difficult to eat. My son likes to consume as much food as possible, so he asked to go to China Buffet for his birthday. Called and they are in fact open for dine in, so we thought we'd give it a shot. I was a bit skeptical about how a buffet would work with the virus threat, but they have it very smartly done. Instead of serving yourself, the restaurant employees fill your plate for you from behind glass. Obviously I'm not overly scared by the threat of the virus or I wouldn't have walked into a buffet restaurant, but if you are being extra cautious I think the measures they have taken will put your mind at ease. Food tonight was excellent as always...in fact letting the grill chef select the sauce for my Mongolian seafood bowl turned out to be a smart choice! Turns out he is much better at it than I am, it was amazing . Service has always been great here, which reminds me....don't forget to tip them as they are doing just as much work if not more for you, constantly clearing plates and filling drinks!!! read more

I have yet to run into another Chinese buffet that has the food selection and accessibility that this one has. There are many options on the line which is usually hot and fresh unless you run into a dead business hour. They have an on the spot grill with many ingredient options for them to grill up your personalized dish along with a salad/desert bar. The egg drop soup is always a good pick. The staff is quiet but their service is quick and professional. Some of my must haves are the lo mein and the mountain of endless stuffed crab rangoon. They constantly keep the food bars clean so that is always a major plus for me. Prices are fair for the amount of food at your fingertips. It's a buffet...your not receiving fine dining. This place is decent. It is definitely one of the cleaner and newer Chinese buffets in Bellevue. I like to go there if I'm hungry and don't have time to wait for my food to be prepared. It's super busy and hard to find parking, if you go during lunch Mon-Fri (the military members like to come there since it's so close to base). So I'd either take an early or late lunch, if you want to have lunch there. Also give the buffet in the plaza that's across from Imperial Palace, Long John Silver's and Runza on Galvin. I used to love this buffet back when it first opened. I'm writing this review to inform others that have ibs or other gastrointestinal disorders to avoid this place at all costs. The last two times I ate here I got violently sick about a hour after getting home, severe stomach pains, the sweats, and spending a lot of time in the loo..The first time I had a reaction I thought that it was a fluke. I went back a month later, had a repeat performance in the loo ........feeling like I was dying and a alien was trying to punch its way out of my stomach and realized it was no fluke I can never eat there again. My gastro dr said it was either rapid onset food poisoning or they have changed the formula in their Chinese food, tons more msg or some other additive to add flavor.
