I came in hungry and wasn't satisfied. Nothing had taste, everything was just water. I don't understand how they were awarded best in Omaha.

After reading some of the reviews I'm stil not sure if I have the right one, the photo with the dog pretty much sums up the one I was in. Rude wait staff that's on point. Filthy filthy bathrooms,,, table cleaning needs to be re taught, no buckets on the chairs!! Yuck! The food was hot, I will give them that, as the kitchen staff was working twice as hard as the ( not sure what the guys job was that was standing up against the wall) received our drinks, went to get our food, came back and everything was gone, what's up with that? Food was fresh, people were polite. One night we went in and it was very close to closing time. They made us whatever we desired fresh and kept their doors open until we finished. They didn't rush us make the environment uneasy. I really like their food! read more

Very good food for a buffet. They have fair prices for what you get. They are always busy on the weekend and around lunchtime during the week. This means their food is kept fresh. Not only do they have a wide variety on the buffet but included with your meal is the Mongolian barbecue. They offer a good variety of meat, veggies, and sauces that are sure to meet your needs. I know this isn't THE best Chinese round town. BUT it does its job. I think the grill is the best part of the restaurant. Never had any issues with the meats being thawed, good selection of sauces and veggies always look nice. The buffet is okay, nothing spectacular, just what is expected for Americanized Chinese. Would like to be able to get there and have fresh fried sugar rolls, instead of the bricks that are left over in the pan. Customer service is generally good. Military discount is nice. read more

This place was BAD! Was there tonight July 1, 2016 $144 and the Service sucked! And on top of that the women's restroom was "closed for cleaning" the full time we were there and when my 7 year old boy went in to the men's room to go to the restroom he slipped and fell while someone was mopping the floor! No sign up or nothing I had no idea the restroom was being cleaned and when I confronted the man mopping the floor all he could do is just stand there and look at me like I was dumb... I confronted the "manager" and all she could say was "what you want me to do?" Trust me first thing in the morning I will be contacting her boss... My son fell and ended up with 2 cuts on his knees one on each... Foot sucked and so did every one else that works there. I will not be going back... read more

High School Wrestling season is over. You may wonder how that applies to eating at the China Buffet? Well, my son had to watch weight throughout the season (which is miserable for everyone in the family) so he could continue to wrestle and not forfeit his matches. So the China buffet was definitely off our ardor for about 4 months. Now that the season was over we took him there with his two sisters. This is a very popular restaurant in Bellevue so we got there at about 5:30 pm and was seated immediately. We all do the buffet versus the Mongolian grill. The great news is they keep up with their customer base. I never have to wait for my favorite selection. The food is steaming hot and they keep it fresh. I like the fact that they monitor their food closely and continually replace items that are low or out unlike some other buffets in town. The atmosphere is good although I felt a little cramped in seating/table. As our table partially blocked an aisle so when people passed I continually was brushed when people were trying to get through. If you are a fortune cookie fan they do not deliver those yummy cookies with the bill to your table instead they keep them by the cash register. So, if you are not mindful they are easy to forget. I really enjoy their food but wish they had more buffet selections (main course items). Their desserts are at best just OK...you should not come for their desserts or their ambience. Overall, I enjoy their food...it is a popular spot so parking at times can be a challenge which is usually a good sign for people looking to eat. If you are not that hungry do not go here as the process are pretty equivalent to any buffet which can be pricey. We frequent this China Buffet location pretty regularly. It's always busy on the weekends, especially on long weekends and Fridays. The wait usually isn't too long, but once you're in, the service is great and the food done pretty well for a buffett. Their mongolian grill is always well stocked and surprisingly unfettered by any limitations except the small bowls available...which some people solve by simply getting two bowls. It was a little different than we are accustom. It was very busy on a Thursday night which is a good sign that locals like it. It also helps because the buffet gets fresh food when busy. The food was pretty good. I missed my steamed dumplings. They had some type of deep fried dumplings that I don't even think had meat. That was my biggest disappointment. The grill had a large selection, serve yourself basically. It was nice to have a Mongolian beef that was not cooked with peppers as most do. I also enjoyed the coconut shrimp. The cold salad and desserts were a very small selection, but does anyone really go for that anyway? I nice surprise on the dessert was an ice cream machine included, instead of an extra charge for a cup of generic ice cream like most. read more

I love China Buffet. The food is always hot and fresh and they have all the items you would expect a Chinese buffet to have. The Mongolian grill here is good also. I have always had good service here as well. I would recommend this Chinese buffet to anyohe who likes Chinese food. it's reasonably priced and you get to eat free on your birthday also. read more

Great food love it here. They are good at filling your drink up, they are also really good at keeping the buffet stocked as well. The only problem I had was with a waitress and waiter they are working and was holding hands and rubbing shoulders. That is my only problem. Other then that everyone is nice to us. read more

The food on the buffet was Luke warm, despite steam coming off the table. Management appeared unconcerned and did pull out an infrared thermometer as we left. We paid, whether we ate or not, so it was not an attempt to get a free meal as I used to really like this place as far as buffets. The chicken skewers were not hot, crab Rangoon (usually great) had started to re harden, fried shrimp were room temperature, same with potstickers. Now if you caught them as they refilled food, it was hot coming out of the kitchen for the "dishes"- teriyaki chicken, happy family- but it unfortunately didn't stay that way long on the buffet. read more

Came for the crab legs and the waitress don't even tell us we have to pay 4.99 a pound. Had to ask the cashier since the waitress is busy doing nothing but, flirting with another server.. They put out jalapeno shrimp that is impossible to peel to eat. Food has zero flavor. Never again will I eat here. read more

My wife disagrees, but I believe this is the best Chinese food you can find in the Bellevue/Papillion area. There's something for everyone. My wife prefers the buffet, while I like the Mongolian grill. If you're with a group, you can't go wrong. Compared to Hu-Hot, the Mongolian grill technicians seem to have a better grasp on how to cook your food without the meats becoming dry, and how to cook it to the right "doneness". All around, great food for a good price. The only negatives is the parking situation is always difficult because the place is popular, even though the "newness" factor has worn off. Parking is somewhat limited regardless of the time you show up, and there will most likely be a wait once inside. The desserts are also somewhat limited, but typical of a chinese buffet. Just a side note - my wife says that China Road in Bellevue is better. It is nicer in the sense that the atmosphere at CR is more swanky, and the garnishes you get with your meal are intricate - almost like a piece of art. My comeback is that you pay less for the China Buffet, and you get whatever you want (including Crab Rangoon and dessert). For the money, China Buffet is the way to go. read more

I'm wondering if the people ranking this place highly have any idea what Chinese food is supposed to taste like. Vegetable dishes were coated in oil. The rice, although "fresh", was so dry we couldn't eat it. The shrimp was so BEYOND over cooked that it was akin to eating fish leather. To top it off, I'm convinced that they use water in their soft serve ice cream machine, because the chocolate and vanilla both tasted like water with flavoring added. I never have high expectations of Chinese buffets, but even with low expectations this place was horrible. read more

I've always loved Chinese and this is one of my favorite places to go if I'm trying not to spend too much. I haven't tried all the food, but everything I've tried has been amazing. I would recommend the sweet n' sour chicken, egg rolls, and honey chicken. I always go for the lunch where I can eat all I want for 7.99, I believe. My only suggestion would be to improve the cleanliness of the buffet area. I know it's hard to keep a buffet area completely clean, but they could put in a lot more effort into keeping the area clean. But, this is probably my favorite buffet. I there delivery service bring me dinner but they did not bring all of my order and it was the most important part THE RICE everybody gets rice with there entrée. The general chicken was disgusting! How was pink and the other half brown and overcooked. There was a bunch of little bouncy stringy pieces and pieces of cartilage Hidden under that disgusting breading that was goopy and it was like a block of byproduct chicken parts in goopy dohy slime. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen on a plate! And please check the bags before you tip the driver ours got off with all our rice and a good tip read more

I stopped in here for lunch while in town on a overnight trip. The buffet selection is OK but not huge. However the Mongolian grill portion of the restaurant more than makes up for the shortage. The staff was polite and helpful. The food was tasty and well prepared. If I have the chance I will visit here again if I have a chance. read more

I have read the other reviews and am very surprised at the negative responses. My family and I go there often. The food is always fresh..hot is hot and cold is cold. the mongolian grill is awesome. The service has always been fantastic. This is my 7 yr olds favorite place to eat. My two granddaughters just love coming there too! The prices are good for the amount of food you have to choose from. It's easy to find things to complain about anywhere you go. Do not go to this restaurant. I went in once a while back and one of the servers went to the bathroom. He exited his stall and went to leave the restroom without washing his hands. Upon exiting my stall he saw me, and quickly turned back to the sink to wash his hands, and then proceeded to "dry" them on the towel he had been using to wipe off tables with. I went back again today and regretted it. The vegetables were under cooked and the food looked/tasted old. I got the Mongolian grill and watched as pieces of my food were mixed in with the food of other customers and vice versa. For example, I watched a scallion covered in chili fly from one persons food, to the food of another person that did not contain scallions or chili peppers. THIS IS NOT OK. The cook's complete disregard of properly cleaning his utensils before moving on to the next customer's food leads to cross contamination of food. My fiancé has a food allergy and cross contamination of foods like that risks possible allergic reaction to any customer, not to mention digestive issues to anyone that can't handle certain foods (like me) like peppers/spices, etc. Upon seeing said incident, I completely lost my appetite. When I discussed this with the manager, she asked if I would like it remade, which is a stupid question to ask when you're at an all you can eat buffet. Second she said "I'm sorry, I will talk to them," and took off before I could say/discuss anything further. I had barely gotten started eating, when this occurred and completely lost my appetite. After receiving the bill, having barely eaten, I noticed that the manager had charged my fiancé and I both, full price. I asked for the waitress to call the manager over to discuss it. When I asked if something could be done about it since I hadn't hardly eaten a thing, and then lost my appetite due to their lack of health and safety, she said she would charge me for an employee meal, then took off to the register to adjust the bill, which we got back from the waitress. Upon inspection, I discovered that the employee meal was only 10% off...taking a whopping $2.62 off of the bill... (10% off is the same as a Military discount, which I already could have gotten.) I paid the waitress and informed her that we would not be coming back. Very Poor customer service on the Manager's part. I do not recommend this place, and I do not plan to return. read more
