They had a good sized gluten free menu that you can ask for that had some fun options on it . They even have some gluten free soy sauce which was appreciated. The hot momma and geisha were excellent I really enjoyed it. It is a better sushi restaurant compared to a lot of them in the area if you're looking for a good middle ground. This is my first time stopping in, and I had a great experience with my friends! We all opted for sushi over Ramen, and enjoyed our orders. In the space that once housed Greenbelly on 114th and Dodge, there is now a fantastic new spot called Tomo Sushi & Ramen, and they are truly impressive! The ambiance is pretty upscale with cool wooden walls carved with geometric shapes, nice new concrete tile floors, and comfy booths with a bright orange and wood design. During our visit, we had a delicious Yum Yum sushi roll, the Salmon Teriyaki Lunch Bento Box (which is an incredible deal at just $12.99) and the super flavorful Black Garlic Ramen with pork. Each dish we had was very obviously made with super high-quality ingredients, and the prices are relatively inexpensive too for the hearty meals you can get! The lunch or dinner bento boxes are the star of the show, as they come with your choice of protein, a salad or soup, fried rice, and a tasty 4-piece California roll. Even the mini salad with their creamy dressing was not an afterthought, and full of flavor. And lastly, I can't speak highly enough of the service. Had Tomo today. Definitely a solid 4 if not 4.5 stars. My sushi was great! Salmon skin hand roll and the spicy Latino roll both excellent. Had a bowl of fried rice. Very bland. Honestly, this can easily be one of my fav ramen place in town and here's why. The ramen tasted very authentic-japanese, and for the portion, the price is reasonable. I ordered their black garlic ramen and the soup is so rich. I've also had their chef sushi (I can't remember the exact name) and their raw fish slices are very fresh too. So cute!! We loved our ramen and the steak teriyaki rice bowl. The broth was so flavorful and rich. Everything in the ramen complimented each other so well. The steak was fresh and the rice was the perfect consistency; it slightly absorbed the teriyaki sauce, which made it that much better. Their miso soup was the best miso I've had in Omaha!! This place was great! I appreciated the mix of options. Went for lunch and while I didn't take advantage of the lunch combos (good deals available), we tried three specialty rolls. Very fresh, came out quickly, beautiful presentation. Tried a salmon roll, rainbow roll and Fire Island (or something like that?). We also tried an appetizer: the monkey brain. Which was crab and cream cheese inside of an avocado with tempura breading. SO good, I'm craving it again. The place had a great atmosphere, very attentive staff and it was very clean! Also includes crab Rangoon and dumplings all for $20. What a great deal, same at lunch but I think they skip the fried rice and it's only $10. Great deal again. I also got ramen, plain with chicken broth, $8 with lots of options for beef, chicken, egg or veggies if you want to pay more, like only $12 or $14. The restaurant itself is very clean and welcoming, with a great atmosphere. They've only been open for about 6 weeks, so the service is still finding its rhythm, but overall it was still really good and everyone was friendly and attentive. I started with the Miso soup, kinda warm and not hot but delivered quickly. Pretty good. She had the Pork Ramen with black garlic sauce adding tofu. Not a lot of flavor in the all important broth, lots of noodles and decent pork consistency. My unagi roll was perfect. Will get that again for sure as well as the huge yum yum roll. There was an odor present the day we were there that was off putting. Almost like leftover food smell from whatever was in this location previously. They should address this.
