Back again and the experience was just as amazing! Love every chance I get to dine here. Staff is amazing, chefs are amazing, and food is top tier.

Best sushi in Omaha! Service is amazing. The restaurant is small, but very cute. I recommend sitting at the bar, you can watch them make the sushi!

Had dinner at Koji last night with some friends and family. It's tucked away in the strip mall across from Westside High. The entrance is kind of rough, walking through what feels like a service hallway, but once you step inside, it's a completely different atmosphere. The smell of smoke hits you right away in a good way. The space feels warm and inviting, with wood beams across the ceiling and Japanese art throughout. They were playing Wu-Tang when we walked in, which was unexpected and honestly pretty cool. You can see right into the kitchen from just about every seat, which adds to the experience. Our server was excellent. Super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was full of flavor and creativity. Every dish felt carefully put together and tasted great. The only thing to keep in mind is the price. It's definitely on the higher end, and I'm not sure I'd go back because of that. Still, I'm really glad we went. It was a memorable experience and worth it for what it was.

Fantastic find in Omaha, and totally did not expect to come across such an awesome sushi spot here. Interior was dimly lit and perfect for a date night or special occasion. We were seated promptly (although we did make a reservation). We basically sampled most parts of the menu, and our server and host were great in recommending dishes. Everything we had tasted top tier - equivalent to good spots in bigger cities too. We were treated to complimentary hama toast which was a nice surprise. Overall, 5/5 and would definitely come back here if I was ever in the area.

This was our first time trying Koji which is a sister restaurant to Yoshitomo. The seating was intimate with only about 15-20 tables inside. The lighting was dim and moody perfect for a date night or special occasion! There was also seating at the bar where you can actually watch the chefs make the sushi - this is where we will plan to sit next time we visit! Our waitress Jill started off by asking if we had ever been in and when we told her it was our first time she ran through the entire menu with us and pointed out some of her favorite dishes. This was beyond helpful and she was able to answer any questions we had. The food was delicious and assembled to perfection. We ended up trying five menu items which was filling between the two of us with even a few rolls leftover. Every food item we tried you could tell was crafted with care. We cannot wait to come back!

10.10.10 across-the-board amazing service Sage is fantastic she makes you feel so welcome and so knowledgeable. The simba was chefs kiss, no soy sauce Needed, everything is fresh and the fish is flown in from Japan. Can you call yachup? Smoked old-fashioned delicious. I can't wait to go back.

First time at Koji, had been to Yoshitomo and was excited to see some of the same items here. Nice dining room, mostly black with some cool wood accents. Our server was great at explaining the concept and going through the menu selections. Started with the crudo which had leche de tigre, I loved how citrusy and bold the flavors were. We got the chef's choice yakitori, the moriwase, and it came with a pork belly, octopus, chicken thigh and chicken skin. All delicious! Finished with some sushi rolls and nigiri. The sablefish and wagyu nigiri were stands, so tender they melted in your mouth. You've got to check this place out!

Visiting from out of town, we decided to stop by for lunch and Koji did not disappoint. Everything from the ambiance, service and food was 10/10. The sushi was fresh and they get some of the products such as Uni aka sea urchin from Japan. We could've ordered 2-3 more but they ran out. Glad we got to try at least one order since that was one of the best Uni we've tried. You can't go wrong with whatever you choose on the menu. We also like how easy it is to do a family style/A la carte kind of dine. I wish Idaho has this type of restaurant.. one day :')

Really cute place with gastropub Japanese food. My favorite thing was the tsukune. The staff was really friendly.

Great first time experience at an izakaya! Lots of free parking at the front. They allow reservations through their website, however when I arrived with my party of 4, there was no wait for a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is quiet, great for dates or family meals. They had a variety of different maki rolls, nigiris, and yakitori. I would say that a lot of their options are more citrusy in flavor, and did not have that many options for spicy ahi/tuna in their menu. I would have liked to see a more variety of fish options and maki rolls.

Best sushi place in Omaha. We came with a bigger party and they did amazing. Our server was kind and answered all our questions. They were very attentive. Our table drank a lot of water and they were always on top of it not making us wait. One of our orders was wrong but the server did a great job handling that situation. The rodeo roll is my favorite. The wagu just melts in your mouth. Can't wait to come back to try more of their menu. Overall, very impressed especially for sushi in the Midwest.

This is 100% the best sushi I've tried in Omaha. Not only is food amazing, but service is ALSO amazing. Our food came out so quickly, and our waitress was so sweet and attentive. I would recommend making a reservation! There is ample and easy parking. The restaurant has a hip and cozy atmosphere. Go-san roll: has jalapeño but is not spicy, and this is coming from someone with a low spice tolerance. Refreshing and tasty. Royale roll: order if u like spicy! Simba: this was my personal favorite roll out of the 3 rolls we got bc I like all the sauce it came with Negiri: all of them were delicious Mezurashi: I got the chicken+shishito bc the pictures looked good on Yelp. It wasn't bad, but not amazing. I would rather save stomach space for more rolls hehe Buta: pork belly skewer (not pictured). It was tasty and savory!

The Simba roll. Loved it

Always a great dining experience. The layers of flavor and the delicacy are absolutely delicious. Can't really go wrong with anything you order .

We arrived around 9pm to enjoy some sushi, excited because of the excellent reviews this place has…read morereceived. Service was efficient when we ordered carry-out; we received four rolls, two miso soups, and seaweed salad within 15 minutes. However, our experience upon returning home was disappointing. The salmon rolls were extremely fishy, to the point of gagging and nearly vomiting. The California roll also tasted off. Additionally, none of the rolls were rolled properly and fell apart as we picked them up. The seaweed salad did not meet our expectations either, which was surprising since I love seaweed salad and have never been disappointed before. The miso soup also lacked flavor and seaweed. It seems likely they used old fish that had been sitting out for an extended period of time. We only ate the spider roll, which was cooked, and the only one we enjoyed. Overall, we were very disappointed because sushi is our preferred date night choice, and we enjoy trying new places whenever we visit. We are ending up throwing them away. I wouldn't recommend going to this place after peak hours.

This is our hidden gem for a no frills sushi experience…read more Prices are very fair and the quality is well worth the price. It is quiet and often not extremely busy. They have a variety of creative rolls and appetizers that are very good. Only thing I wish was better is service. Serveral times we have went and the server didn't do the best job keeping drinks full and checking on you.
