Found this gem on yelp and initially I went in for sushi which was great and fresh! However, after going back and reading more reviews I had to try the hibachi. First hibachi visit was with my hubby and oh boy...ok, I'm not leaving you in suspense because you saw the amount of stars I gave it. I chose the filet and shrimp and it was divine! Drinks were on point as well, but wow that hibachi! It's not as busy as I would expect and I think it's because of the location for sure, because the food is really great! Don't miss out! read more

Hot girl sushi was pretty tasty. My hibachi was good. I didn't like the fact that I had to wait for the rest of my food while my rice was done cause it was getting cold. We also had to wait a while to get our food prepared. Another thing I didn't like was the fact that the servers brought out straws with their bare hands and the straws did not have a wrapper on them. They were just put in the drinks. I felt that wasn't sanitary. Overall, great place to try and the decor was beautiful inside. read more

We checked this place out after a random drive by. The place is beautifully decorated and the staff was very kind. We had the shrimp and filet mignon hibachi. The rice, soup, salad, and hibachi was delicious. They have a variety of options including sushi, bento, and if you take small kids, you can pay for a share plate which comes with the rice, soup, and salad. All and all, we liked it! They definitely need the foot traffic, so I'd definitely recommend checking this place out once to formulate your own opinion. read more

What a great find! Prices were decent but more importantly, quality of their fish was excellent. Their entire restaurant is like one giant abstract art installation INCLUDING perhaps the prettiest bathroom I have ever seen. Staff was attentive but not overbearing and service was excellent. This is our third time here; always for weekday lunch. Once for hibachi, the other for bento boxes. The quality of food is very good. Spouse likes their sashimi a lot. Stopped for for lunch today and was very impressed. The atmosphere and mood were calming and relaxing. Great choice of music to compliment this. I ordered of tuna and albacore sushi to start. Gorgeous presentation and very very fresh. I followed with a simple chicken fried rice which was also very good. The service was friendly and the manager (I believe her name was Mariam) came by and said hi and showed me around the restaurant. A+. So excited to finally have an alternative to the mediocre japan places in the Plano/Richardson area. Everyone needs to try this great place! It used to be Bakers Brothers fast food, just south of 15th on 75 service road. What an awesome transformation!! Great for date night , great happy hour and lunches. Excellent upscale atmosphere and fantastic food. Only down side is I wish they had brown rice .... but I think it's coming :) Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions. Tokyo Harbor really exceeded our expectations. We went to celebrate a birthday and our hibachi guy was better than anyone anywhere we've been. Even the food was by far the best tasting we've ever had at a Hibachi place. The kids had so much fun and our entire family was laughing halfway through it. He made several attempts to shoot cooked egg into the kids' mouths which they thought was hilarious. We didn't purchase a meal for our youngest but sh was given a large portion anyway. Hibachi guy ended his cooking session with a drum and sang happy birthday. Right after that, several staff came out with masks and drums for the birthday girl and asked the whole family to dance along. They brought her complimentary dessert and even gave her a gift! The day was grey and rainy, we were in the mood for something with a lot of fun and flavor!! We decided to go to the Tokyo Harbor in Plano, as the reviews where so good. BINGO, what a great time and outstanding Teppanyaki food! Jack....Samurai Jack was out Chef, funny, cool guy and great cook. Starting with the Shrimp Egg Rolls and the Calamari, we were onto a great time. I don't think you can go wrong with any choice of food you order as everything we order was great, so if your in the mood for a great time, cool people around you and great food, and great service, Tokyo Harbor should do the deed!! read more

We have eaten at dozens of Japanese Hibachi Steak Houses over the years, but never any as good as this one... The food from filet mignon to shrimp to scallops to even the fried rice was wonderful, and they got the vegetables seasoned just right and nice and soft... Also, they go the extra mile to make sure that you are completely satisfied... They even brought out a bananas foster dessert for our birthday celebration at no charge... They helped our friend that walks with a cane, out to her car... Wow, you must try this place... Their daily lunch specials are the best deal in town ! read more

We had a really good date night here last week. I wanted to make sure to leave a review and thank the restaurant. A couple of things really stood out for us. In the last couple of years I've developed an allergy to avocados. Which is unfortunate, I love avocados and a lot of sushi rolls have avocado in them. They accommodated me and I was able to pick any roll. THANK YOU. I've missed sushi rolls so much. They also surprised us with a delicious chili-peppered tuna that was topped with jalapeños. SO GOOD. I live near it and decided to try it out with a friend and i have to say, it was pleasantly surprised how fresh all of the sashimi we had were. We came here for our anniversary lunch date. The hibachi chef was engaging and funny. The food was sufficient to fill us up. The prices are reasonable for a hibachi place. Update: I'm not sure if management saw my post or if change happened for some their reason, but a totally, totally improved experience the last 5-6 times we have eaten here! Kudos! We love this place! This is a mixed review, and really I just hope the management sees it. We love the food here! We come and have lunch or dinner here weekly. However, the service has gotten really,really bad. The waitresses are very nice, but we have to wait a long time to get anything. Our water isn't filled and often sits empty for many minutes before we can flag down a server. They all seem to disappear. We often ask for our ticket when they bring the food so we aren't just sitting and waiting after we finish our meal. Despite how much we like this place, we talk about not coming back especially for lunch when time is tighter. Please just a make a few adjustments in training your staff and it will be a much higher review from us! read more

My stepdaughter and I decided to eat at Tokyo Harbor tonight. We asked to sit at the hibachi, but alas, one of the chefs was out sick, so we would have had to wait and decided to sit in a regular booth. Let me stress that we were NOT unhappy at all, but the manager offered us an appetizer on the house, which we accepted. We chose the Panther Roll, and it was delicious. The food was good. I find that most hibachi is pretty standard, as I've never eaten a bad hibachi meal. The portions were plentiful and satisfying. After the meal, we were given a free green tea mochi dessert. My rating is because the staff made absolutely sure we were happy. I feel this is a quality that is SORELY lacking in restaurant management today. We will absolutely return!! read more

My Son took me to Tokyo Harbor tonight for dinner. I told him I have seen many favorable reviews so it is supposed to be a good restaurant. We were not disappointed. It was excellent. The foods were awesome, the nigiri were so fresh and tasted really good. Their service was really good and the hibachi chef was really friendly and talkative.
