I came here on a whim since I was originally planning to go to Jinya Ramen bar at union station nearby but when the wait was close to an hour for party of 2, I wanted to look elsewhere and I'm glad I did ! Restaurant is 2 stories but not too big, has a cozy feel. I loved the decorate and made me feel like I was transported to Japan. Didn't have to wait long to get seat which was nice, there was a rush afterwards so people had to wait around 20-30 minutes or so. We got the shio ramen and the dynamite roll and the portions were perfect ! The broth of the ramen was flavorful and not too salty. The ramen was well cooked. The sushi was fresh and satisfied my craving. Additionally, service did not take too long. Overall, would definitely recommend it to other people.

Tokio's late night happy hour special is genius! The ambience and customer service was immaculate. We got the: Takoyaki: generous amounts of octopus, great flavor and outside crisp, wish the batter was cooked a little longer White fish Tokio Sashimi: The flavor was overtaken by the tomato and half the fish we got was a bit mushy. Will not get again. Shu Mai: These were huge! The meat was so tender and we appreciated the side of wasabi. Quail egg Nigiri: Amazing and clean tasting egg, will order every time now Ama Ebi: Sweet and perfect texture, our favorite of the night Spicy tuna hand roll, spicy salmon hand roll, Philadelphia hand roll: all standard rolls and can't go wrong with the ingredients inside. I do however wish the outside nori wasn't soggy by the time it got to our table.

If you're thinking about ordering online or delivery, DONT. You will get an email saying your food will be ready, but you can comfortably add an hour to that wait time. Came into the restaurant and waited over 50 minutes for my order which was pre-paid for and ordered over 2 hours ago, which was said to be ready, but they haven't even started on it when I arrived. A restaurant that serves ramen, all day, couldn't pour my broth into a to-go bowl and package it up on time. Ridiculous. There was no one at the host booth the entire time. Calls rang. Some girl came up to ask me over and over again what name I'm here for. Watched 3 doordash drivers cancel and walk out. Watched multiple customers not get helped and walk out. And if you're bold enough to wait like me because you're non-confrontational, the place is so small and cramped there isn't even a place to sit and wait. When I finally got a little upset with the girl who has handed orders to 10 people who came in AFTER me and had to pay on the spot, she was very rude and just kept walking away. At this point just make the Ramen at home. It will be faster and will probably taste better.

Had a wonderful experience here! Appetizers and small plates were amazing, we enjoyed the kushi katsu and the takoyaki which were extremely flavorful. We came during happy hour and enjoyed a selection of nigiri followed by ramen for main courses. The selection of ramen is great and all of the styles we ordered were delicious (miso, spicy shoyu, cremoso diablo). The interior of the restaurant is wonderfully decorated and lit and our server was so attentive the entire time we were there. Would absolutely love to come back!

This place is top tier! Where to even begin: a moody, quaint ramen spot near Coors Field with beautiful wooden accents and Japanese lamp fixtures. Our server, G, was impeccable. Highly attentive, well-versed and friendly. The broths are hands-down the most flavorful and aromatic I've experienced here in Denver. The appetizers were impeccable, though this time around our Gyoza was a little undercooked. I would just ensure to ask for extra crisp just in case next visit, the first time they were perfect! Highly recommend, an addition to our regular rotation dinner spots. :)

Such a great experience here! Paid parking a short walk away. Our waitress was very friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant is very relaxing and pretty. Not a ton of indoor seating, but we were seated right away, even on the night of a Rockies game. My husband got the chicken teriyaki bowl and a spicy yellowtail hand roll and really enjoyed both! I got the salmon teriyaki bowl and a california hand roll (happy hour only $5 rolls!). The salmon teriyaki bowl was an awesome deal, it came with two large pieces of salmon! We were really impressed with the generous portions of the bowls. Flavors on both bowls were really good! It didn't taste as overpoweringly salty as most teriyaki dishes. The miso soup was good, but not super salty, overall good buy mild flavors in everything. A great experience here! Highly recommend going during happy hour, they have some great deals!

my sushi was great. fair value for price and somewhat on par with other higher end sushi spots in denver. loved the decor. our server was nice, but seemed a little anxious. caveat: my friend's ramen was so-so. he thought the extra charge for an egg was ridiculous lol.

TOKIO has become a must-go-to every time we visit Denver. The food is simply amazing. We started with the sautéed trumpet king mushroom appetizer, chicken Kara-age, and shishito peppers were a nice way to start our dinner. But don't overstuff yourself because the sashimi and sushi is super-fresh and delicious. Everything was just A+++++. The owners and staff treated us so well and were there for anything we needed.,

Love the look and vibe of this place. Service was kind of slow. I got the curry Katsu chicken with rice and the gyoza. The gyoza was amazing and comes with five in an order. I would get it again 100%! The Katsu curry was not as good as I remember it being when I first went a year ago.

Cute spot with some pretty awesome sushi. We didn't try the ramen but I'd love to come back for it . Sushi was nice big slices and tasted fresh. Handroll was nice and crispy. Sake in a authentic little wooden box (masu). Even had a green tea cheesecake!

This is the best ramen I've ever had. The miso broth was full of flavor. The pork belly was falling apart - cooked perfectly. The egg is always the best part! The service was great. I will definitely be back!

Tried the place for the first time when we were in Denver. Got the shishito peppers. They were good. Also got the miso ramen, which was really tasty. Rock and roll sushi, which was really delicious. Also got the salmon sashimi. It was fresh. The service was great and friendly. Highly recommended.

The vibes of this place is very cozy. Food came out pretty fast since it wasn't too crowded. Pork Katsu portions was pretty big. Rolls were decent, spider roll didn't seem fresh but still tasted okay. Mochi ice cream just tasted like the ones from Trader Joes Chicken karaage(8/10) Salmon roll (7/10) Spider roll (7/10) Volcano roll (7/10) Dragon roll (8.5/10) Pork katsu curry (8/10) Mochi ice cream (6/10)

We were seated right away and given plenty of time to take in the restaurant's history and look through the menu. Our food came out quickly, and the staff was always nearby if we needed anything. We started with the cucumber salad and shrimp shumai. The cucumber salad was refreshing, but the shrimp shumai had a strong fishy smell and taste that didn't seem very fresh--I couldn't eat more than one. For my entrée, I ordered the nabeyaki soup with ramen noodles and chicken, and it was excellent. The soy-based broth was rich and flavorful without being too salty, and the ramen noodles were cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of bite. Overall, Domo offers a really special atmosphere and a memorable dining experience. I wouldn't recommend the shrimp shumai, but I'd definitely come back to try another ramen flavor, and to see the cats again.

You won't find fancy sushi here or fusion cooking here, but rather tasty home cooked style classic Japanese dishes. Dishes like Japanese curry, oyakodon, and other donburi and noodle dishes. Having been here multiple times, I cannot recommend this place enough for a homey style meal. No joke, each meal here makes you feel warm inside, like a good home cooked meal. It's comparable to many meals I've had traveling through out real Japan. The flavors are simple, but each dish is well prepared while emphasizing conform over fancy preparation. You just cannot go wrong with any dish here, though I'm partial to the donburi, the green tea soba, and the hot pot. And if the meal is not enough, there is a beautiful garden to enjoy. If you catch it at the right time, the cherry blossom in the spring is beautiful and transport you right to Japan. Overall, Domo is a place that I'm always down to visit. It's warm, comfy, and nostalgic, and I just know I'll miss it when it's gone.

What made it more frustrating was the lack of service. No one checked on us, and we had to flag down another staff member just to get the check. Our server never came by. It was also surprising because the restaurant wasn't busy. There were open bar seats and plenty of open tables, so I'd be nervous to see what the experience is like on a busy night. What a cute little place!!…read more It was late in the evening and I was getting hangry. I was craving ramen and Neko came up during my Yelp research. They were open late, so we decided to go. The restaurant was popping at 22:00 on a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff. It was intriguing to us that we ordered via an iPad kiosk as if we were at a boba place, but we didn't mind. However, usually only to go orders are placed on a kiosk. In my hangry state of mind, I had not realized that Neko only serves their ramen with chicken broth, so for those of you who prefer tonkotsu broth, this isn't the place for you. For that reason, my husband had to order a chashu rice bowl instead. Personally, I enjoy both paitan and tonkotsu. I went with the black garlic ramen. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive. While we waited, we dispensed water for ourselves from the soda fountain. I was a little confused upon receiving my black garlic ramen, as I thought the black garlic oil would be more prominent. I was assured that I had the right bowl. My husband enjoyed his chashu rice bowl. I had a small bite and the pork was tender and well-seasoned. The paitan broth was very umami indeed. I would have liked to have more of a black garlic flavor, but it was still good. Next time I would just pay the extra $2 for more black garlic oil. The noodles were bouncy, and the chashu was tender. The egg was deliciously jammy (alas no photo because I devoured it). I saw they had soy sauce and hot sauce, but wish they had the classic chili powder so I could have added some to my ramen. Neko Ramen & Rice hit for late night noms, and the cat-themed decor all around (since Neko means cat in Japanese) was such a vibe. They also serve curry, poke, and various small bites if you want some apps to enjoy before your entrees. If you don't mind chicken broth for your ramen or will be ordering rice bowls instead, Neko is a fun little place to come dine at, especially since they open late.
