I've been here several times, but just realized I hadn't left a review. The other day my niece picked me up a Thai Milk tea with boba and it seemed like the best boba ever (outside of this one restaurant in Morgan Hil. I was so delighted she thought of me. Fast forward a few days and I decided to grab one for myself. Not as good, but bo complaints. I also ordered the pandan waffle, but it took a LONG time to get. There were only a couple of patrons and they already had their items, so I was the only one being serviced. I do also wish it came with some sweetened condensed me or a little cup of something to poor over it. But most places don't do that so, there's no "ding" for that. It was good and each bite had the crunch of coconut. Another positive about Tocotea is that it opens at 11am whereas most Boba places don't open until 12. They have chalked/painted Boba Cups on the wall. Here's What I Think... The next time I come back, I'll get my Thai Tea, but maybe I'll try the strawberry or Taro waffle.

Service and ambiance was great. The guy that was working helped me pick between 2 matcha's: the one he helped me with was milk tea matcha with lychee it's so good. I needed a matcha fix

The Tocotea by my house closed down, so I was surprised to see this one was still around. A few tables to sit at inside. I enjoyed their drink of... Okinawa Milktea: Rich milk tea blended with Okinawa brown sugar, topped with chewy coffee jelly cubes.

Thai creme brulee and matcha coconut

So so so yummy.. me and my boyfriend ordered the matcha coconut with lychee jelly and Thai creme brulee with boba. The thai tea was literally one of the BEST thai tea I have ever had if not the best. The flavor was so rich I swear I finished the drink in 2 minutes because of how tasty it was. The creme brulee was a little chunky when I had it and tasted more lile a regular cream(?). I felt that there wasn't enough of it to be called a creme brulee drink but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The boba was so soft and chewy. It had the perfect consistency. It's just regular tapioca balls so no sugar was added (not to my knowledge/taste) and no additional syrups but because it was made so well the bland flavor meant almost nothing. I got plenty of pearls in my drink as well, they definitely didn't skimp out on it!!! My boyfriends drink from first glance, we thought it was going to be some kind of coconut milk tea or thick coconut-y drink but when the barista handed it to us it was actually coconut juice!!!! It tasted so delicious... the matcha itself is more of a thicker consistency, my boyfriend likes more matcha taste/bitterness to it. It could have used more matcha or a stronger matcha base since the flavor of the coconut juice really overpowered the matcha. It's my first time seeing a boba place use coconut juice in a drink so it was a very pleasant surprise The lychee jelly was also really really good, it had that nice tense outside chew. Our server was nice :) the interior is nice with all the beautiful paintings on the walls....the seats are very comfortable, it was just a little warm in there but we did come in a few minutes before closing.

The price is kinda high; I believe the drink was around 8 dollars in the end. But that's to be expected with milk tea shops. The location was clean and the service was fast. To be honest, the drink was very very good and I would probably go back again.

Strawberry milk tea and 3 taro cheesecake. Bland and boba not great
    Frances V.

Was in the area for dinner, so stopped in. Asked for lemon cheesecake...out of lemon. Asked for red velvet instead...also out. Third time wasn't a charm, because also out of tiramisu. Settled on a taro cheesecake for myself, husband and our daughter and our oldest got the strawberry milk tea. First sip, cheecake top was delicious...but, the taro had no flavor. It was very bland and I love taro drinks. The tapioca pearls were way too chewy, that they were hard to chew at all. They should have some bite to them and this was like too jelly. My daughter's strawberry milk tea wasn't much better. Spent $31 on 4 drinks that weren't that great.

Good and fast experience. The tea was good and refreshing kinda gave a cookie and cream taste. Overall I would check them out a gain. Good service as well

Loved the handpainted wall murals. They were out of crystal boba...bummer. Seems to be a shortage. Fast service. Bob's was pretty standard.

    Pandan waffle hot and fresh!

Delicious drink and dessert! The ambience is nice and quiet. Very pleasant service as well.

A hot day in Union City/Fremont area calls for a cold boba tea. Then again, I never need an excuse to get boba... Whenever there's more than one fruit in a fruit tea, that's what I'll go for, assuming they're good fruit combinations. Thus, peach and passion green tea became the chosen one. Pros: *strong tea coming through *decent prices *creative containers with the can pop top *friendly staff Cons: *underwhelming fruit flavor *was told by the cashier they use corn syrup to sweeten (do most boba shops do this and we're unaware?) I wish I could say it hit the spot more on a hot day, but I guess it sufficed. I don't think I'd return, but I can check this one off my list now!

Been wanting to go to the SJ toco tea for the longest time to get the drinks in the soda can. I was so excited to see one open much closer to home! When ordering for the drinks, make sure you specify that you want it in the soda can or they will default to the regular cups. Matcha monster - boba was drenched in brown sugar and was all over the outside of the cup. It made the drink really sweet and felt like a dessert instead. It also overpowered the matcha flavor. Peach & passion green tea - nothing too special. Strong green tea flavor. The soda can is a cool gimmick but kind of inconvenient when you're left with all the toppings on the bottom. It is sealed tight and cannot be opened.

I found Tocotea while in Union City browsing on Yelp and thought why not! I will preface by saying I am no bubble tea expert: I am very basic and don't know how to order. lol With that, I was so happy that there was actually someone to take your order rather than just a kiosk! Customer service was great! It was a quick transaction and I got my drink within 5-10 minutes. This was a fairly busy early Sunday afternoon. They have a lovely wing mural upon entrance with a great lounging space! The space feels newer and clean. Bathrooms were also clean and there is plenty of parking (just beware of those seagulls!) I ordered a brown sugar boba, sub oat milk. I think I know better than to order full sweetness so that was my bad, but it was overkill on the sweetness. Unpopular opinion: I wish they put more ice as well. I would go back if I was in the area and try something more adventurous!

This location's cheese foam tastes old, like they been in the fridge for a week. It's so confusing to me since i thought it was a one off time, but the flavor is consistently disappointing after going there 2-3 times in a row. The mochi jelly is completely different, texture and flavor wise, just tastes like regular jelly, no mochi flavors or texture. My first time I went here the first drink I ordered was a hot ginger milk tea, which has a spicy yet soothing texture. Most of the drinks I've ordered from Feng Cha Teahouse are dirty boba drinks. The consistency of these boba drinks isn't too watery. Also in terms of the flavor the dirty boba drinks isn't too sweet that you can get a sugar rush. There are several boba drink places that serve food. What makes Feng Cha Teahouse different from other places that serve food is the milk foam cakes. I could be wrong, but I don't see milk foam cakes sold at other boba places. The milk foam cake served at Feng Cha Teahouse is light and airy. The flavors of the milk foam cake provide a texture similar to cheese souffle. My favorite milk foam cake at Feng Cha Teahouse is the sea salt pearl. It's like dirty boba on a foam cake. I don't come to Feng Cha Teahouse every time after dessert however if I have a craving after dinner I'd come here for the dirty boba and milk foam cake.
