I remember seeing this place somewhere and thinking that the canned drinks were cool, so I decided to try it out. I've been to this place twice. Both times being a little disappointed. The drinks are just too watery?if that's the right word. The milk teas weren't silky, and I excepted the freeze to be good, but it was basically a slush. This place is pretty cool, nothing too fancy, just a normal Boba shop. This is the closest one compared to the other few down the road. If you need a fix, it gets the job done. I came here with my brother the other day because I've had this spot on my list ever since they opened and it didn't disappoint! I had the creme brûlée milk tea with boba and Crystal noodles. The Crystal noodles definitely hit different. The boba was nice and soft, chewy but in a good way. The Crystal noodles were as thick as the boba and had almost 95% the same texture as the boba. It definitely added some texture to the drink. The drink itself was also decent, I had mine too sweet but I think that's due to my improper mixing of everything in the container. The cups/containers they used were also a novelty. They use plastic cans to give the appearance that your drink is in a soda can. To open your drink you need to pop the tan just like a regular soda can which I thought was really cool. I decided to try this place as i was in the area. Their house milk tea was pretty good with 50% sugar. I got it with the usual boba, lychee coffee and grass jelly. It was perfect not super sweet. I also got their strawberry green tea(knocking down 1 star for not having fresh fruit bits) too. They also offer pandan waffle which i absolutely love but just came from eating was not craving it. Came here on a Saturday night. To really gage a boba place I always try the classic milk tea. Plain and simple. Ordering was easy and my drink came out in a short amount of time! I've come to terms with disliking boba shops without a kiosk. This was by far the sweetest fruit tea I've ever consumed (I was unable to pick sweetness level, I typically sit at a 25%). I've only been here 2 times and have ordered the same drink every time. I ordered the oolong tea with cream cheese topping. It is SO GOOD. I'm new to the cream cheese topping thing so I don't really KNOW what makes a good one. The toppings I've had at other places tend to be grainy and overly sweet. This boba place just opened a couple of months ago and I'm so glad that we don't have to travel far to get a boba drink. The place is so clean and they have a lounging area with a nice couch. I liked their walled angel wings and boba drink brush painting. They have a variety of boba drinks and we've to ask for their recommendations. We ended up trying their tocotea house special. It had red beans, crystal jelly, and boba. After taking a few sips, we found out that we made the right choice. This drink is so good. It's not too sweet and there's a lot of red beans and crystal jelly in it. We enjoyed this drink and loved how it was made. Union City is seeing a lot more boba shops pop up and there's (finally) one at Union Landing now. I ordered the Peach and Passion Green Tea, 50% sweet with coconut jelly. It was really sweet for my taste, even after all the ice melted, so I'll be sure to order less sweet next time. The coconut jelly threw me off since I was expecting to see white pieces at the bottom of my cup. I was sure they forgot it since I didn't see it and didn't get any in my straw when I started drinking. Turns out, the jelly comes as large, transparent cubes that I had to break up with my straw and fish around for. It doesn't have much of a coconut taste or any chewiness to it, honestly not a memorable topping. The flavor of tea itself was good, it has the nice tartness of passion fruit and I only came cross one seed. I also tried my bf's jasmine milk tea and it was better than my fruit tea! They weren't very busy inside and ambience of the restaurant was very nice. Their drinks came in a really cute bottle / can combo design. It's similar to soda can but a bottle filled with boba. I got the Black Diamond Black Tea which was too sweet ( get lower sugar levels ) and they made the drink quickly. There were two employees there and they worked really efficiently with one another. It took me about 5 minutes in and out to get a drink. The service was a little interesting. I'm not quite sure if the employees were being attentive or impatient. I was looking at the menu for about 2 - 3 minutes and they asked me 3 separate times if I was ready to order yet. They didn't have anyone else there so I was a little confused why they kept on asking. Drinks cost about $7 - $7.50. $7 is pretty standard for a drink nowadays. I'm glad they finally put a boba place in Union Landing given there is so much foot traffic there. This place is next to Jamba Juice and inside is pretty small but quaint. They have a few couches and tables if you plan to sip in for awhile. I ordered their Double Lychee Green Tea with boba. It already came with lychee jelly by default and the boba was extra - it didn't occur to me at the time to ask to swap out the two, but it was a nice treat. I asked for half sweet and less ice, and it was still pretty sweet. My friend had the same and ended up having to ask to pour some out and add more tea to make it less sweet. The service is great here though! Definitely 5 stars for their customer service. Prices are a little high, but my friend's passion fruit drink had real fruit in it, so that's good news. read more
