This is our favorite breakfast place in town, their breakfast bowls are so unique and healthy and filling, their burritos is a killer! Customer service is great, they do get really busy on weekends and the wait time can be a little long, but it def worth the wait.

A year after my first review, does this place still hold up? Thankfully the answer is a definitive yes. If anything, it's gotten better as the owner has gotten his systems and workflows down pat. What sets this place apart is the choices and fresh ingredients. The breakfast sandwiches have great bread. But the bowls and scrambles are awesome. I got one that had avocado, spinach, tomatoes and scrambled eggs. All were delish. The coffee is also a standout and a big step up from the usual New England Dunkin variety. Plus, service is so friendly and efficient. Make this place on your routine. It's awesome.

Stopped here for breakfast, and the food was fresh and tasty. I've never seen their trick of rolling cold cuts into a ball and searing them - surprisingly flavorful! Portion for the price was fair. Worth trying!

Stopped in for a quick breakfast, and the food was great. The counter order caught me off guard, but no complaints there. I think the staff was friendly and efficient and the food was ready fairly quickly. The only reason not 5 star was my wife said the woman's room was dirty. I would make it a regular stop if I lived closer.

Came here after hearing buzz about it in town. It did not disappoint. Food is cooked to order and was fresh and delicious! I got the grain bowl and although on the slightly salty side, because of the ham, it still had a lot of great flavors to please the palate. Not much in the way of a beverage selection, just the basics, buuuut if you bring your our travel mug you can fill up on coffee for $2, ANY size....SCORE! The place itself is a bit small, but there is a large table in the middle the room for a larger group and several smaller tables around the exterior. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely be back.

Hour wait for a mediocre breakfast totally not acceptable. Need to get their act together.

They have the best egg sandwiches of anywhere else around here. Decent variety; waffles, sandwiches, bowls, muffins.

I've been visiting Tribos Peri Peri since it first opened and have also ordered takeout and…read moreDoorDash multiple times. One thing I've appreciated is seeing how much they've improved over time. In the beginning, the food quality and consistency weren't always where they needed to be, but they have made significant improvements and have become much more reliable. The peri peri chicken is flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked well, and the sides are generally fresh and satisfying. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, my recent experiences have been consistently positive. The staff is friendly, and service is generally smooth. The only minor issue I've noticed is that they occasionally run out of certain menu items, especially during busy periods. However, that hasn't taken away from the overall experience. It's great to see a local business continue to improve and grow. Overall, Tribos Peri Peri offers good food, solid service, and a much stronger experience than when they first started. I'd happily recommend it and will continue to return.

"But I got my head in the clouds like Zeus Swear I can see…read morethe game from a bird's-eye view" (Eminem) What on earth does peri peri mean? Well peri peri is a fiery little African Bird's-eye chili whose name literally means "hot pepper" in Bantu. Tribos Peri Peri in Avon is the regional chain's eighth location (and the only one in CT), with the other seven in MA, MD, and NJ. Their cuisine pays homage to that incendiary African Bird's-eye chili pepper in their Portugese, African, and Southeast Asian flavored chicken dishes. You can have your pick of wings, tenders, platters, and even a whole chicken with or without sides. Some of the sides and appetizers have a Mediterranean flair such as hummus, pita breads, couscous, falafel, etc. The non-chicken lovers can get other dishes with lamb, paneer cheese, falafel, etc. Now, when you order chicken you have to decide on your tolerance for a heat level. I ordered three freshly grilled tenders and needed to select one of their six spice levels for the sauce the tenders get bathed in. Level One is plain, Level Two is Lemon & Herb, Level Three is Mild, Level Four is Medium, Five is Hot, and Six dares you to be Very Hot. I went with Level Four Medium, and I gotta tell ya, my chicken tenders were very spicy. Oh... and the chicken itself? FANTASTIC - freshly grilled, large, moist and perfect. Soon after the tenders were delivered to my table, two more things appeared- a squeeze bottle of white and red sauce. The smiling server said if my chicken was too spicy I could cool it down with the white garlic sauce. But if they weren't spicy enough, I could increase the firepower with some peri peri sauce. Of course I had to try the peri peri sauce and lets just say I was very grateful I just tried an eye dropper's worth of it. Along with the chicken, I ordered an amazing side of grilled corn on the cob. So the food was great, but how about the service? My experience was fantastic. The gent who took my order was friendly, conversational, and helpful. And when he brought out those two sauces, he was playfully smiling when he talked about the heat level of that Peri Peri sauce. What a nice addition to the Farmington Valley.

They give you a cup and you fill it up at the coffee station. The place was clean and the cashier was friendly and efficient. The second time, I ordered another hot coffee and a half chipotle chicken sandwich and broccoli and cheddar soup. I originally wanted the breakfast sandwich version with eggs on it, but it was 11 ish and they didn't have any eggs. The cashier asked their coworker, which I assumed was the manager if they had anymore eggs; he responded with a snarky "NO", I thought that was odd. We didn't know what exactly time breakfast ended, no snarkiness needed. The sandwich seemed a little skimpy but the flavor was good. The broccoli and cheddar soup was good; this also came with an apple or chips. Overall, it's average and a typical Panera Bread, nothing to write home about.

Overpriced and terrible food. The last time I was here - I ordered "Chicken Noodle Soup". I…read morereceived: "Salt soup with noodles and chicken". The salt level of the soup was off the charts - it was unpalatable, unnatural feeling ( way too thick ) and the noodles were terrible. They tasted like they had absorbed the salt from the salt soup. Prices are bad for what's received ; this stuff is obviously some manufactured slop that comes prepared out of a factory, not actual food. A can of Progresso chicken noodle tastes a hundred times better than this stuff. The soda I ordered was fine. Tasted like soda, fizzy, and cold. That was the last time I ever went there.
