Visiting from NY state we googled places to eat lunch near Sunset Beach! We found a gem in Toasted! Had a great Bloody Mary served up by a wonderful waitress by the name of Lauren! The crab dip was to die for served with wonderful crusty bread. I had a southern Bella burger. Yummy with fried green tomato, bacon and banana peppers. My partner had an awaken bacon filet sandwich and couldn't stop saying how great it was! The staff and owner (?) were very friendly! Toasted is a cute spot that matches the vibe of Calabash on the interior. I love the beachy theme. The food was some of the best I've had in the area. However, orderer beware, they don't skimp on oil. They used copious amounts for both my omelette and home fries. But I like that kind of thing. The veggies were grilled to perfection before being folded in a quite perfect omelette. The pineapple upside down pancake was a treat too, although the upside down part could have come through a little stronger. I didn't taste the brown sugar at all. A single cherry on top of the pancake would've also added to the upside down. Overall, I'll definitely be back again. read more

Great brunch in Calabash! After reading reviews decided to try something different . It was a great experience starting with clean Covid practices, great personal service and good food. Bloody Mary was delicious, the mix of flavors on the Awakened bacon bottom biscuit was really good and I'm not a fan of lots of items mixed. This place is an absolute gem. Service was fast and pleasant, my fiancés coffee cup was never empty. The food was fabulous. When I saw a country fried filet mignon biscuit, I was shocked so I ordered it out of curiosity, but I was incredibly impressed. The biscuit is smothered in cheese, gravy, eggs and beautiful tenderloin. Usually if I get a biscuit with steak it's chewy and dry, but these guys got it absolutely perfect. Soft, flavorful, and goes great with the biscuit as a whole. I would highly recommend trying the filet mignon biscuit bottom. My fiancé ordered a fried green tomato biscuit bottom, and as he is native to NC I trust his judgement when he says it was wonderful. I tried a bite and I agree - it comes with a sweet sauce on top and crispy bacon, he added some hot sauce and it was a great meal. I'm a little sad we went on Sunday, since I was unable to try their blueberry mimosa, but next time I'm in the area I'll make sure to pick a day where they can serve alcohol. The speed they got us in and out at was amazing, I believe we were there for half an hour from getting seated to finishing our meal, which was really great since we were driving home. read more

We tried Toasted for the first time today. We have driven past it many times on our way to Bagel Dock but decided to stop today. Andrea was very attentive and no complaints on the wait staff. I ordered the chicken and waffles and my wife had the sliced prime rib with mushrooms and onions over mashed potatoes and au jus. Everything was delish but the I did not receive enough chicken with the waffles and the onions on my wife's dish were undercooked for the most part. This is the only reason for the 4 stars. The menu is very extensive and anyone should find something to eat. They are known for their biscuit bottoms which I will have the next time I am here. read more

Popped in to pick up carry away after looking at the menu online. The menu provided on the website was breakfast and lunch with no times noted leading the reader to believe that menu was served all day. We all had breakfast items picked out but when I arrived to order I was informed that they had a separate menu for dinner. It was pretty much just an entree version of various breakfast and lunch offerings minus the eggs or elements that made them breakfast. Toasted appears to have eclectic menu offerings but since we didn't end up ordering food I can't comment on the actual eating experience though I am interested in trying their breakfast. I did however stay and have a cocktail. The Very blueberry mimosa. I wanted the blue drink that is shown in multiple photos on the website but the bartender wasn't familiar with that drink. They have a very extensive drink menu specifically mimosas that are served in a wine glass not a flute. I personally don't care about that I just find it a little odd since a champagne flute is in their logo. read more
