This is a terrible restaurant - the food is awful. They prey on locals and visitors seeking a good meal- not happening here!

Toasted is a cute spot that matches the vibe of Calabash on the interior. I love the beachy theme. The food was some of the best I've had in the area. However, orderer beware, they don't skimp on oil. They used copious amounts for both my omelette and home fries. But I like that kind of thing. The veggies were grilled to perfection before being folded in a quite perfect omelette. The pineapple upside down pancake was a treat too, although the upside down part could have come through a little stronger. I didn't taste the brown sugar at all. A single cherry on top of the pancake would've also added to the upside down. Overall, I'll definitely be back again. read more

Well it started out getting seated on top of another couple when while there was open tables everywhere. Then I ordered the in house made corned beef hash with eggs and home fries. Let's start with the home fries clearly premade frozen bag unseasoned and tasteless and now for the hash yes the hash canned hash would have been a thousand times better. Its was a mushy fried patty that resembled a cow turd in a field and tasted similar. Eggs over cooked and toast cold . Huge peace of salmon, cooked perfectly, with a lot of lump crab pieces. The bearnaise sauce was perfect! Some restaurants use too much for my taste. What I loved the most, your food is not salty and overly seasoned. I hate it when I have to drink 4 glasses of water the minute I get home. Some of us cannot eat all the extra salt. My husband had one with gravy. He let me taste it. I enjoyed that bite as well. The menu has waffles, biscuits, sweets, and savory bites. The have burgers and Philly cheesesteak for lunch. Calabash needed a place like this. Somewhere that you can get a good breakfast while also indulging in some very tasty drinks. We went on a Saturday morning and got in quicker than expected. I got the mimosa flight and loved how many options there were. Our server was excellent the food just took a very long time and we had a cranky toddler with us. Great brunch in Calabash! After reading reviews decided to try something different . It was a great experience starting with clean Covid practices, great personal service and good food. Bloody Mary was delicious, the mix of flavors on the Awakened bacon bottom biscuit was really good and I'm not a fan of lots of items mixed. This place is an absolute gem. Service was fast and pleasant, my fiancés coffee cup was never empty. The food was fabulous. When I saw a country fried filet mignon biscuit, I was shocked so I ordered it out of curiosity, but I was incredibly impressed. The biscuit is smothered in cheese, gravy, eggs and beautiful tenderloin. Usually if I get a biscuit with steak it's chewy and dry, but these guys got it absolutely perfect. Soft, flavorful, and goes great with the biscuit as a whole. I would highly recommend trying the filet mignon biscuit bottom. My fiancé ordered a fried green tomato biscuit bottom, and as he is native to NC I trust his judgement when he says it was wonderful. I tried a bite and I agree - it comes with a sweet sauce on top and crispy bacon, he added some hot sauce and it was a great meal. I'm a little sad we went on Sunday, since I was unable to try their blueberry mimosa, but next time I'm in the area I'll make sure to pick a day where they can serve alcohol. The speed they got us in and out at was amazing, I believe we were there for half an hour from getting seated to finishing our meal, which was really great since we were driving home. read more
