The Power supply quit on my HP Desk Top had TLC do a Diagnostic to make sure. Replaced the power pack with a new one in three days had my computer up and running like new. I had my laptop diagnosed due to and error on startup and for a new hardrive installation. Although I didn't go through with the new software installation, they installed my hardrive into my laptop, they didn't charge me for the diagnosis, they tried to see if they could salvage my old hardrive, and even gave me a $20 discount if ever I decide to get the new windows installed. They were all very accommodating and pleasant during my visit. read more

I recently had locked myself out of my laptop because I changed the PW and forgot to right it down. After trying every thing I knew to do including going on Google for answers I decide to contact a Computer Repair. I found TlC through the internet Yellow pages and called them. I spoke to a brad or brain (not sure now) and explained I was locked out. He told me over the phone that in order to fix the problem they would have to use an outside software but that if I brought it in he could fix it at his location for $30 dollars while I waited. He never asked the model or name. I drove more or less, 15 miles one way. After getting there, I was first greeted by one of his personnel and told him I had called and he appeared to have been waiting for me. He took the computer and about that time brad or brain came to the front desk and emmediately began having me fill out paper work. The employee then took my laptop to the work area. He came back shortly and spoke to brain or brad about some issue. Brad or brain then told me that there was an issue getting into the bios and wanted the password. I gave it to him (verbally). don't know what happened after that but he then told me that he was going to have to keep the computer for at least 2 days and that if he could repair it it was going to cost 60 dollars instead of the 30 quoted. He also said that he wasn't sure if he would be able to fix it because he had to "FLASH" the bios (whatever that meant) and recover or change the original bios password before he could even get to the windows access because the hard drive was locked out as well which was a separate issue to the original problem. At that point I wasn't sure if I was being given CPU jargin or what. I left the computer on Friday, he was supposed to have called me in 2 days which I assumed would be Monday. I ended up calling him on Monday at about 3:40 pm. He answered saying he had already called my phone number and left a detailed message. He said the only way to fix my computer was to replace the hard drive because it had been encripted and there was no way to access it. The final charge was to be $120 dollars because he was saving me money. The conclusion: I declined the service. Instead, I drove 15 miles or so back to the business, I picked up my computer (Fortunately) there was no charge but then why would you charge if you didn't do any work, Right? I then took my computer home. I fired it. had to put in the password to get passed the bios, I loaded a CD/program I downloaded from my friend. Rebooted the the computer with the disk in it. Less than 5 minutes later I was in my computer. Made another administrator account, changed the password on the account I was locked out of and I am typing this review on the computer they could not fix for 30 dollars. Ivan I believe the manager's name was is very unprofessional. They misplaced my tablet in the laptop area and took days to find it during crucial timing. Took almost 2 weeks to finish the job. They did not return phone calls. Truthfully they only got a 2 star because the owner is professional to an extent. However he is what I found out rarely on hand at this location. Therefore I would recommend staying away! Go to a better shop. read more

Had I done my proper research in finding a good repair shop to trust with my $1300 Mac laptop, I wouldn't have this many problems- if not more- with my machine, and I wouldn't be at Apple right now with them telling me there's only half of a battery supporting my laptop when I specifically went to this location to have them replace my battery. Not only did they put a half ass battery in my laptop, it was a 3rd party battery and now Mac can't start any repairs on it because it is not their product. They are not approved as Apple authorized service providers, so I wouldn't advise you to come here if you want your devices to be fixed properly. read more

For every business that gets a bad review someone forgets to give a good review to the businesses that deserve it. I recently spilled water on my laptop and brought it in to TLC Computer Solutions to have them look at it. I dealt with John the owner and he was very thorough about their process and how my situation would be handled. I do a lot of work on my computer and needed it quickly. John explained that they have a warranty service that would cost $60. Basically, instead of me working with my computer vendor's warranty department TLC would. This seem to me to be the best way to handle things as I didn't want to waste company time fixing my computer. John contacted me throughout the process to give me updates and gave me accurate time-lines for when my computer would be completed. I ended up getting my laptop back as if nothing happened and I ended up paying $40 (thanks Yelp) because Yelp had a $20 off first time check ins. I will definitely recommend and come back to TLC for all my computer needs. read more

We had two computers with different problems. They diagnosed them quickly and gave us a great price to repair them. Plus they gave us some different options and corresponding prices depending on what worked best for us. The repairs were completed in a reasonable timeframe. Even after we picked them up and everything was good again, they provided additional support to fix some very minor issues and explain a few other things related to the repairs at no additional cost. Jorge was great and even offered to stay a little later one day after closing to accommodate our busy working schedules. I will use TLC again for all our computer needs!! read more

My Sony VAIO was spontaneously shutting off. I contacted TLC by phone and found them friendly. They invited me to drop by that day which worked well for me because they were close to my home. I received a phone call within a few hours with an estimate. My computer was 6 years old but I wasn't sure it would be worth repairing. John explained that I had a quality product that could not only be repaired but also made more efficient for less than the cost of a new computer of comparable design. I love what TLC has done for me! My computer is cleaned up and working more efficiently than it ever has. The downside is that some data was lost in the process. The shop was extremely busy but I had a firm deadline when I needed the computer returned and they met it for me. I would definitely recommend this computer shop. read more
