I went to this location to schedule a key fob installation, but they only had the Viper Remote…read moreStart available. The Viper is one of their more expensive fobs in the store. My son had just completed Basic Military Training, and he only had a few days before reporting to his duty station to get this work done. The Autotech Department or Geek Squad told us that the install would be worth it. After the installation, we drove the car home and parked it. The next morning, it wouldn't start. We called the Autotech department and were advised to bring the car back. The technician rewired some things and advised us that we were good to go. My son had to get on the road to head to his duty station the next day. My husband and I followed him there just in case there were any issues with his car. My son's car has stalled numerous times since the Viper installation. He took his car to a mechanic at a garage to have it checked out and was advised that there was nothing wrong with his car, that it was, in fact, the Viper. The mechanic advised him to remove the Viper from his car. My son called the nearest Best Buy to have this part removed and get his money back, but was told they could not give him a refund; they would remove the Viper. It cost him tow fees and days off from work to handle this issue. Sadly, anyone is treated like this, especially someone serving their country! They talked my son into an expensive fob, which they spoke very highly of, that causes issues. You should be able to speak with a professional and get what you want instead of being upcharged for things you don't need! A national store chain? Why was he treated like that? I hope management reads this post and provides a better outcome for this issue. My son isn't asking for anything more than what he paid for. I feel he should, at least, get his money back! Maybe you should reconsider who you have working on installations like this!

I contacted Best Buy and the merchant numerous times regarding the exchange of this item. Both parties gave me the option of returning this item to a local Las Vegas store. Neither would send me a return label. I got my neighbor and niece to package the air conditioner and place it in my car. Today at 8:04pm I arrived curbside at the Best Buy Store located in Lake Mead and Rainbow, went inside the store and requested assistance in getting the air conditioner into the store for a return and refund. After several attempts the clerk had difficulty processing the return. However, she was able to print a copy of the invoice from their computer. After several unsuccessful attempts she went and talked to her manager, Anthony. Anthony also had a problem processing my return because allegedly Best Buy's third party customer refused to allow him to return the item. Anthony then questioned me regarding the purchase. I let him see documents from my emails relating to this purchase. Additionally, I drugged that he review conversations online between me and various of his employees. Anthony located and read to me in front of several people the conversation disclosing Best Buy's customer service representative advising me that the fastest way for me to get the return processed was to bring it into the store. Of course, again I am a 79, year old recently widowed female. I've had two complete knee replacements and most of my shopping is done online accordingly. Anthony did not care, he advised me to take the air conditioner back home, reach out to Best Buy's third party merchant to obtain a return label. I repeatedly advised this man that I had talked to all parties involved and followed their advice by returning this item to a local store. I requested to speak to someone above Anthony and was told by him that there was no one above him. I therefore assume Anthony owns the local store. I left the air conditioner with Anthony, I have the invoice they printed from the store's computer and my next step is the BBB, thereafter the local Ombudsman for elder abuse and fraudulent advertising of items sold by them. I was advised via email when this item was shipped, approaching its arrival and the statement confirming its delivery to my home. This is an experience I would have never expected to receive from Best Buy. Amazon has numerous third party sellers and supports their customers with all returns. Anthony has my portable air conditioner, I have the invoice and BEST BUY HAS REFUSED TO ACCEPT THIS RETURN AND HAS NOT REFUNDED MY CARD.

I was so happy to find that Jeff answered the phone on the second ring. He was able to talk me through a deeper examination and we determined that, indeed, I was looking at file corruption. His suggestion was to try and system restore - something I had never done before (it's easy but not something I would just randomly try on my own). It took almost 2 hours for the restore to complete, all the while I was freaking out because I'm realizing that if it's caught in an endless loop, I am risking that it will never restore and that I'll need an expert to try and get my existing off this thing (my back up hard-drive is in NJ!!!!) I was lucky! The restore worked. And, I have Jeff to thank for getting this back up and working.

I dropped off my laptop at 2:30 p.m. for what I was told was a simple job: remove a RAID controller, copy data, and install a second SSD. I was promised it was "easy," that data transfer was the only real step, and that I'd have it back by 2 p.m. the next day. I was signed up for text updates--none came. At 5:45 p.m. that same day, I called to check in. I was told the transfer was "60-70% done." Two other people heard that call. The next day was a string of delays, missed calls, and vague updates. By 4:30 p.m.--well past the promised deadline--I finally learned the truth: no data had been transferred, no work had been done, and the laptop hadn't even been turned on. (Alienware logs don't lie.) Then came the real problem: Jonas. Instead of owning the failure, he pivoted to condescension and denial--telling me I "don't understand RAID," insisting no one promised a next-day turnaround, claiming my SSD was defective (it isn't), and denying statements multiple people heard firsthand. In short, the story changed, the facts didn't, and I was treated like the problem. Meanwhile, I can't get anyone to tell me my data was safe; I was panicking as any normal person would. I have backups, scattered across several drives and will take days to recover to 90% of what was on the laptop. I got the laptop back around 5 p.m., untouched until 3:30 that afternoon--hours after I was told work was already mostly complete. How do I know this? Because every powerup, every keystroke is logged by the laptop's security system. See shots below: One can see exactly when it was plugged in. Mistakes happen. I can deal with delays and mistakes. We're all human. What I don't tolerate is being misled, talked down to, and effectively called a liar when there's clear evidence otherwise, indicating precisely who did what and when. Curious isn't it, how some business project their own failings onto others, rather than just honestly owning the problem and making it right? That's how I manage my clients, anyway. Explain the failure, offer a solution, make it right, and everybody stays friendly. I'd never consider insulting a client; it cost a lot to gain them, and it's easily 30X more costly to lose one. Clients share experiences. Here, and elsewhere. And people trust those shares of personal experiences. shared on review sites. As I'll do on every review site I can find after the insults tossed at me. What a shame; my most trusted go-to gone means now finding their replacement.
