My system crashed during an update. I tried everything to get back in to no avail. I talked with Pete at ABCD Computer Repair. Pete was here in less than an hour. He was finally able to get it out of the death loop it was in, again to no avail. He took my system back to the shop and discovered it was a bad drive. Pete sold me a system with new hard drive, complete with Windows 11 Pro and all my recovered data and the price was incredible and he was really fast. This is the 2nd time I used them but, I forgot to review them last year so think of this as a two-fer :-) Last year the laptop fan went out and this week my hard drive announced it was going to die. I called him asking if he could recover the data from my PC, and he said "Yes, $200". I brought him my PC, he looked and said he couldn't do it and charged me $80 for doing nothing. I really wanted to like this place because of the reviews. I called and made an appt to drop off my laptop and paid my $80. The day goes on and Pete calls me and tells me he fixed the problem some things just needed to be updated so I went and picked it up and it stopped shutting down on me until the next day.. same thing started happening so I called Pete again to let him know the issue wasn't fixed. I asked him if I could drop it back off and he said yes, I said ok I'll be there in an hour to drop it back off and he said ok, call when you're here. I go to drop it off and he doesn't answer the phone. I stayed parked for about 10-15 min waiting for a call back or for him to come out and nothing, so I left. The next day my bf calls Pete again and yet again no answer so he left a voicemail and still NO CALL BACK. Very unprofessional. read more

I chose ABCD after reading the reviews and especially since they are located near my home. Called them up in the morning, and Pete, the owner, was at my home the same day! Pete showed my so many things (wish I remembered them all!), and took care of two Dell desktop computers that are about 6 years old, and starting to give me problems. He will do as little or as much as you want. I know practically nothing about computers so i tell him what I need and if I want he will go out and purchase the computer/printer/etc and bring it to my home, transfer all my stuff from my old computre to my new computer, make sure everything is working and I know how to use it. he even leaves you with your old harddrive with all your info on it, something I would have never thought of to ask for. I've taken every laptop and computer I've owned to ABCD Computers since around 2005. I get HONEST, PROFESSIONAL and REASONABLY PRICED service every time. I wouldn't go to anyone else. My son's fancy gamer laptop recently died. My son took it to a shop that supposedly "knew all about gamer computers" and they told him it was dead - they wanted to replace numerous items and charge almost as much as the thing cost in the first place. After my son left for college, I took his supposedly "dead" laptop to ABCD Computers. He looked it over and did thorough cleaning and diagnostic and the computer works fine! Took my seven year old laptop to ABCD (family business) on Tuesday and got it back the next afternoon. My laptop's touchpad didn't work and my wifi wouldn't connect. Pete, the owner, said he'll do a full cleanup and go from there. He called right after I dropped it off and suggest resetting it to factory settings so the computer would be essentially brand new. I said go for it. When I picked up my laptop, his daughter was installing all updates and said there were a couple of virus that she removed while finalizing the cleanup/updates. I have a Win7 pc that needed to be upgraded to Win10. My buddy from work had fixed my pc before and agreed to handle it as he works in IT dept. at our company. Well, after 6 weeks and still haven't heard back from him, I skyped him asking for an update. My fault for not asking sooner. Well, he ended up having my pc for 8 weeks and said it was ready. Right before he stopped by, he called and said he couldn't upgrade the pc to Win10. It was too old and couldn't be done and reverted it back to Win7 OS. I was furious that he took this long to tell me and not getting the work done! The pc worked when my buddy brought it over but at some point, it would not boot up. He suspected the power supply just went out. He suggested I go buy a new pc. I had doubts about all this and wanted a 2nd opinion before going out to buy a new Win10 pc. Checked on Yelp and found ABCD Computers and checked the website, then called for info. I was able to speak to Pete the owner, and had a good conversation about my pc and options available. I decided to have him take a look and diagnosis it. Rates are reasonable on his website. I had the option to drop it off at his place or have him come to my home. I decided to go with the mobile service and he was at my place in an hour. He confirmed the power supply was bad and could replace it. As far as upgrading to Win10 OS, he said he could take care of that also if I wanted to keep the pc, instead of buying a new one. Well, I chose to keep the pc and have it upgraded like I originally wanted to. 2 hrs later, he was done! I now had a Win10 pc running just fine. He made sure all drivers were installed and everything running properly. He was profession and explained everything clearly. We had a good conversation while he worked. Very down to earth guy. I recently took my computers to abcd to have the virus removed in both computers. I also purchased their virus protection because Pete said "He never cleans viruses from computers with their program". After checking my computers I found both still has a virus. I called them and said I was leaving town for a month and could I bring them back after I returned. Much to my surprise they wanted to charge me for one because I had downloaded the browser Chrome. I tried to reason with her regarding this very safe download and reminded her that they had just set me up with their very "efficient virus program". Because I got such a raw deal I am also putting a review on BBB. Lastly there was no receipt for what was done the second time around. I feel very ripped off.
