Yelp has a set character count so here is a shortened version of my review: I brought my PC in with a clear issue: apps crashing, and a Windows reinstall that kept failing partway through. Before bringing it in, I spent 8 hours troubleshooting on my own and narrowed it down to two likely causes -- a corrupted Windows install or a bad CPU. I explained all of this on the phone and again in person when I dropped it off, and was told I'd get a diagnosis the same day. That didn't happen. I had to call an hour before closing just to get an update, and was told to wait until the next day. When they finally called, they flip-flopped on the diagnosis multiple times within a few hours -- first confirming a corrupted Windows install, then claiming it was fixed, then reversing again to say it was still corrupted. They quoted me $90 for a data transfer and $110 for a Windows reinstall. Since I had my own install media, I said I only needed the transfer -- and the price for that alone jumped to $180, with the excuse that it was only "discounted" when bundled with their install. I paid it anyway to protect my files. When I picked up the PC, they assured me -- twice, after I directly asked -- that reinstalling Windows myself at home would work fine. It didn't. I hit the exact same crash I'd described to them from day one. When I called back, they admitted they'd never actually tested the CPU, despite me flagging it as a likely cause from the start. When I asked why I'd paid $180 for a data transfer I didn't need, they gave excuses and contradicted themselves -- first offering free CPU installation (which takes minutes and isn't a real concession), then claiming the transfer would've been necessary regardless, which wasn't true since I could have accessed my files for free from the other drive. When I brought the PC back in, I watched the tech Google my exact problem before telling me they'd "seen this before." The CPU warranty process was its own headache: days of unanswered messages, a lie that it had already been shipped when it hadn't, and them dodging my calls entirely. I called twice in ten minutes and got voicemail both times; a friend called the same number seconds later and got through immediately. The one good part of this experience was an employee named Charlie, who was consistently kind and professional, even helping carry my PC from the car. Everyone else I dealt with was dismissive and dishonest. End result: I paid $180 for work I didn't need, got no refund or compensation for their misdiagnosis, wasted well over a week, and felt completely scammed. I won't be returning.

My computer had been dealing with slow boot times and weird hiccups for a while, and I honestly had no idea what was causing it. Shaun dug deep and found the real issue: my SSD had some serious corruption going on along with a blown up startup file. Stuff I never would've caught on my own. He got it sorted out and running the way it should. On top of that, he installed a brand new second SSD for me to use for AI and LLM training, which was huge since I've been getting more into that side of things. While he was in there he also optimized my system (about a 10% performance boost on top of everything), got all my fans running off a single program instead of a mess of different software, and even reorganized my components so some ports that had stopped working were usable again. He also threw in a few recommendations for things I could do down the line to keep my PC running well. Had my computer back in 24 hours, pricing felt fair for everything he did, and he explained things in a way that actually made sense instead of just throwing jargon at me. Shaun's professional, honest, and just a genuinely good guy to deal with. I'm already planning on bringing my laptop in next. My wife works from home and required more output then that. After a quick phone call with Shaun, the next couple days he did a full installation and diagnostic on my home network and we swapped to orbi. I currently have 800 mbps on WIFI and wired will be give the full or close to 1000 mbps. He delivered. Especially on the price! What I honestly appreciate the most is his above and beyond service to teach me how networking works and the extra effort to organize the cables in my network box. I've recommended them, defended them, and even did so in-store less than 24 hours before this went sideways. Then it fell apart. I dropped off my laptop at 2:30 p.m. for what I was told was a simple job: remove a RAID controller, copy data, and install a second SSD. I was promised it was "easy," that data transfer was the only real step, and that I'd have it back by 2 p.m. the next day. I was signed up for text updates--none came. At 5:45 p.m. that same day, I called to check in. I was told the transfer was "60-70% done." Two other people heard that call. The next day was a string of delays, missed calls, and vague updates. By 4:30 p.m.--well past the promised deadline--I finally learned the truth: no data had been transferred, no work had been done, and the laptop hadn't even been turned on. (Alienware logs don't lie.) Then came the real problem: Jonas. Instead of owning the failure, he pivoted to condescension and denial--telling me I "don't understand RAID," insisting no one promised a next-day turnaround, claiming my SSD was defective (it isn't), and denying statements multiple people heard firsthand. In short, the story changed, the facts didn't, and I was treated like the problem. Meanwhile, I can't get anyone to tell me my data was safe; I was panicking as any normal person would. I have backups, scattered across several drives and will take days to recover to 90% of what was on the laptop. I got the laptop back around 5 p.m., untouched until 3:30 that afternoon--hours after I was told work was already mostly complete. How do I know this? Because every powerup, every keystroke is logged by the laptop's security system. See shots below: One can see exactly when it was plugged in. Mistakes happen. I can deal with delays and mistakes. We're all human. What I don't tolerate is being misled, talked down to, and effectively called a liar when there's clear evidence otherwise, indicating precisely who did what and when. Curious isn't it, how some business project their own failings onto others, rather than just honestly owning the problem and making it right? That's how I manage my clients, anyway. Explain the failure, offer a solution, make it right, and everybody stays friendly. I'd never consider insulting a client; it cost a lot to gain them, and it's easily 30X more costly to lose one. Clients share experiences. Here, and elsewhere. And people trust those shares of personal experiences. shared on review sites. As I'll do on every review site I can find after the insults tossed at me. What a shame; my most trusted go-to gone means now finding their replacement.

After months of saving up for new PC parts, I finally had all I needed to build it! Seeing as this would be my first build, I was anxious that I might mess something up on accident. These guys, though, oh MAN, these guys! They were my savior. Michele and Atul are two VERY knowledgeable people. Since I didn't feel comfortable building my PC by myself, I found these guys through a quick look up on Google and knew they were just the right business to help me out. And boy, was I right. Right from the get-go you can tell that top-notch service is very important to them. I handed them my PC parts, and within a day and a half, BOOM. My computer was all put together, and I couldn't be happier. They're people people. They knew how to explain any problems perfectly, and what I can do to perfect my build or any other builds I may have in store in the future. I arrived with my old lap top which was well past its prime. The hard drive was shot but I had documents on the hard drive I needed. I explained my problem to Michelle and Atul and decided to purchase a new computer. I left my new computer for a few hours so that Atul could determine whether or not I could transfer my documents. I returned a few hours later and all my files were transferred to my new computer. At the same time I left my husband's older laptop with them to see if it could be optimized. I explained I did not want to spend much and may just buy a new laptop for him too. This company could have told me just to buy a new computer. Instead, they optimized my husband's old PC utilizing parts from my old PC and for minimal cost, my husband's computer is fixed and optimized. I was quite impressed with the attention, courtesy and speed of service. I recommend NV PC FIX for computer service. I was impressed even before I spoke with Michelle about my own laptop. I observed how she was counseling another customer about his options, and could tell right away that she was extremely knowledgeable and was helping him decide what course to take. When my turn came, I received the same expert and friendly treatment. We weighed the pros and cons of fixing my current (4 year old) laptop or buying a new one. Michelle and Atul both participated, and they did not pressure me whatsoever to buy a new laptop. However, that's what I decided to do, and I didn't even consider shopping around to save a few bucks. I wanted to buy from NVpcfix because I knew they would take care of me over the long run -- and it was a great price anyway! I followed their recommendation to install a solid state hard drive which is lightning fast. What a great place for computer repair! My wife's computer, a Microsoft based all-in-one PC, was failing. The hard drive had many bad sectors and was taking extremely long times to access programs and data, In some cases the data files could not be loaded. I asked them to evaluate the computer and increase it's capacity if it made economic sense as opposed to buying a new computer. Michelle and Atul were able to save thousands of pictures, photo-shows and documents of all sorts. Michelle kept us up-to-date as the work progressed and the end result is that my wife's computer is better than new, has double the hard drive capacity and double the RAM. This was accomplished for a fraction of the cost of a new computer, not to mention the hours and hours that would have required to reload all the saved files. Michelle also showed my wife how to double the capacity of her Microsoft tablet. Fast, friendly and professional service. What a great place for computer repair! read more

I moved to Las Vegas four years ago from Seattle looking for a company that would sell me a quality computer and back up the product with honest service. LOOK NO FURTHER! NVpcfix Computers is amazing. Not only are they friendly, but they are amazingly informative. My computer had a virus....they fixed it! My mother-board died....they helped me to purchase a computer that was within my budget....and, whenever I have issues, they are there to help me. Using this company became my biggest nightmare ever. I took my laptop to them on or abt 7/21/14 bcuz it was not powering on. In the end, I was told by Nvpcfix I needed a motherboard, but they could not get it for me. When I went in to pick up my laptop to take to another computer repair shop, my laptop was carried from the rear of their shop opened. When I went to close my laptop to carry it out, I heard a lot of breaking & cracking. I then asked Michele "what did you do to my laptop". Her response was "you broke it when you closed it". That was just the first response to many she would have that day. Nvpcfix destroyed my laptop and I am in the process of pursuing legal action against them. I ended up having to purchase a new laptop because the cost to repair the exterior of my laptop due the negligence of nvpcfix was greater than the cost to buy another. I would never use this company again. I found them dishonest and deceptive. read more

Excellent, friendly service to customers that don't know PC repair. The owners of NVpcfix Computers are considerate and understanding of all your needs. When we found them we were at our wit's ends. After spending hundreds of dollars with another repair shop who never found our problems and stopped helping us after we paid them we found NVpcfix. Our mother board was going and instead of trying to repair an 8 year old computer they told us it was best to buy a new one. The owners told us we could go anywhere to buy, they never forced us into spending our money there. The owners were willing to help us transfer all of our information from our old computer to a new one, we did buy there because of our trust in the owners. You will feel like there are good people out there again if you use NVpcfix. Michelle and Atul went above and beyond in their efforts to help us. Highly recommend them. read more

NVpcfix is great! I took my laptop there to have a new operating system installed after it suddenly crashed. The people were extremely polite, professional and helpful. They took care to ensure that I was informed and understanding of the processes and procedures that were to take place in the repair of my computer. Which, by the way, was ready for pick-up the very next morning. A wonderful turnaround considering I dropped it off near closing time the day before. The storefront is very inviting and makes for a comfortable experience. Definitely not a place that looks as if they're operating out of a garage. They are also very reasonably priced. Cost to repair my laptop was fair, and I also saw lots of other products that interest me that I may absolutely purchase. Whatever your needs, I would definitely recommend NVpcfix to anyone!!! After searching for weeks for a reliable company to build me a custom gaming pc, I finally came across nvpcfix. After visiting their website i decided to give them a call just for simple prices and information. After a 30 minute conversation with Atul, I felt a great relief as he seemed very knowledgable, friendly, and more than happy to build me my dream machine for a price that fit my budget perfectly. Awesome! My 5-year-old computer had a problem and would not connect to the internet. I brought it in to their location on a Monday afternoon and by Wednesday morning, the computer was ready. Seems they had to remove a virus. They had quoted me some strange pricing structure (the longer you waited for the repair, the cheaper it is!) however, in the end, I was charged the lowest repair fee ($60.00) and the computer seems to be just fine. Both the tech Atul, and the owner, Michele, who handles the phones and front desk, were cordial, friendly folks. Their new store is real nice, but a little hard to find in the shopping complex. There was construction going on at the time so I guess that added to the confusion. At any rate, I would definitely recommend this company for computer repairs! read more

These people are true professionals. If they are stumped they will get the answer. After they sell you something they go out of their way to explain what they did and how they can help in the future. They built me a new editing computer using the newest state of the art hardware and software. When I wanted to add a feature while using the software, they went way beyond the call of duty to find a solution to my problem. My wife and I will be doing all of our future business with them. In fact, my wife's next birthday gift will be one of the new Kindles. They took the time to explain the difference between a Kindle and an IPad, so I could make an informed decision. We ran into another snag with the desktop shortly after we got it back, however, NVpcfix took it back right away & corrected the problem free of charge saving all of my data again & did so in such a timely manner! Upon having my desktop in the "shop" I had to use my laptop & when that began giving me error messages I called to see what the messages meant. Michelle was kind enough to walk me through correcting the problem over the phone even though I'm sure she was super busy! The staff at NV PC Fix definitely knows what they're doing. Although I dealt primarily with Michelle, I was absolutely pleased with the overall experience and end result. I had an ancient laptop from 2005 that had files on it that I still needed. I was nervous that I had lost all of my files and pictures which would have been a disaster. I took my computer in and was promptly greeted by Michelle who processed me and gave me an estimate. The follow-up was great and Michelle called me several times to offer suggestions and advice. To date, my computer has been working wonderfully and I was able to back-up all of my pictures and important documents to avoid having this problem happen again. read more

After waking up to a nasty Crypto Virus demanding $500.00 to release the files, I went online with a laptop that wasn't affected to search for help. I came across the NVpcfix Computers website, and after researching the site I decided that this was the place. I was not disappointed, the problem was taken care of promptly, and I was able to pick computer up later on the same day. These guys rock! I brought in my Macbook Pro and a replacement screen and they had it replaced in under 90 minutes! They are super nice and helpful. HIGHLY recommend. Just as a reference - if I had gone to apple to have my screen replaced I would have had to first send it out for diagnostic which can take a week or more, THEN they would give me a price which I've heard is upwards of $1,000. Of course I would then have to send it out again for the actual repair if I even got it back in the meantime. I shopped around and found my screen for $300 on Amazon, and NV PC Fix can install it for $79.99. Numbers don't lie, these guys win. read more

Our business computers where not working Monday morning, so I googled NVpcfix and called them immediately. Michelle the office manager was great and had Rocky dispatched within a couple hours. Rocky figured out the issue within just a few minutes, it was a bad cable modem through Cox. He called Cox and had them come out. Hours later he and Michelle showed up to the office just to make sure that everything was working correctly! Excellent service and price. Unlike most businesses out there, these guys don't nickel and dime you. I had a problem with my computer and everything was resolved but it took a little over 1 hour and they didn't charge me for the extra time. They even suggested few free anti-virus programs that I could use. Being a service industry, NVpcfix does live up to its expectations. I even suggested them to my friends and both of us got additional discounts. Computer companies are dime a dozen these days. But who does the best work wins my business. Had a problem with my laptop not loading Windows. Called them and they said to bring it it and it would be able to be repaired by the end of the day. They quickly saved all of my data and evaluated that the hard drive was not crashing but instead it was the motherboard . That repair would have taken weeks because they needed to order the part and I decided to buy a new computer and they helped me set it up and transfer all the data from my old laptop. Yelp has a set character count so here is a shortened version of my review: I brought my PC in with a clear issue: apps crashing, and a Windows reinstall that kept failing partway through. Before bringing it in, I spent 8 hours troubleshooting on my own and narrowed it down to two likely causes -- a corrupted Windows install or a bad CPU. I explained all of this on the phone and again in person when I dropped it off, and was told I'd get a diagnosis the same day. That didn't happen. I had to call an hour before closing just to get an update, and was told to wait until the next day. When they finally called, they flip-flopped on the diagnosis multiple times within a few hours -- first confirming a corrupted Windows install, then claiming it was fixed, then reversing again to say it was still corrupted. They quoted me $90 for a data transfer and $110 for a Windows reinstall. Since I had my own install media, I said I only needed the transfer -- and the price for that alone jumped to $180, with the excuse that it was only "discounted" when bundled with their install. I paid it anyway to protect my files. When I picked up the PC, they assured me -- twice, after I directly asked -- that reinstalling Windows myself at home would work fine. It didn't. I hit the exact same crash I'd described to them from day one. When I called back, they admitted they'd never actually tested the CPU, despite me flagging it as a likely cause from the start. When I asked why I'd paid $180 for a data transfer I didn't need, they gave excuses and contradicted themselves -- first offering free CPU installation (which takes minutes and isn't a real concession), then claiming the transfer would've been necessary regardless, which wasn't true since I could have accessed my files for free from the other drive. When I brought the PC back in, I watched the tech Google my exact problem before telling me they'd "seen this before." The CPU warranty process was its own headache: days of unanswered messages, a lie that it had already been shipped when it hadn't, and them dodging my calls entirely. I called twice in ten minutes and got voicemail both times; a friend called the same number seconds later and got through immediately. The one good part of this experience was an employee named Charlie, who was consistently kind and professional, even helping carry my PC from the car. Everyone else I dealt with was dismissive and dishonest. End result: I paid $180 for work I didn't need, got no refund or compensation for their misdiagnosis, wasted well over a week, and felt completely scammed. I won't be returning.

My computer had been dealing with slow boot times and weird hiccups for a while, and I honestly had no idea what was causing it. Shaun dug deep and found the real issue: my SSD had some serious corruption going on along with a blown up startup file. Stuff I never would've caught on my own. He got it sorted out and running the way it should. On top of that, he installed a brand new second SSD for me to use for AI and LLM training, which was huge since I've been getting more into that side of things.
