We stopped in for Sunday lunch and to watch the afternoon football game. Inside, the dining room is a mix of booths and tables. There is a full bar on one side. We were told to sit anywhere. Emerson, our server, was friendly and attentive. Beverages, complementary chips and salsa came out quickly. Food came out quickly, as well. The salsa is really good with lots of sweet tomato chunks and spices. I had the Taco Salad with shredded chicken. The salad came in a fried tortilla bowl. The generous portion of chicken was moist and flavorful. The guac topping was delicious. My husband had the lunch special Chimichanga with ground beef. His plate was huge and colorful with pico, rice, beans and a cheesy covered chimichanga. The food is a step above your average Mexican restaurant. They offer daily drink specials (beer and margarita). I was tempted, but it was just too early in the day. They also have a kid's menu. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall lot and the restaurant is fully accessible. I recommend and will return.

Thank me later! Customer Service: Our waitress was very attentive. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name to be recognized but I have always been pleasant with service here! The staff is polite, attentive, and whether busy or not, the food comes fast, hot, and fresh! Ambiance: My boss and I went after work (5pm) and it wasn't busy at all in the evening! This was abnormal to me but I was happy to get seated quickly. They seem to have added more tvs since my last visit, but it is a welcoming space. Has an ice cream area and they also serve alcohol! I would highly recommend giving this place a chance!

Apparently this is when all of the local Boomers like to eat dinner--my mom included. We had to wait a while for the food because pretty much every seat was taken. Our server was very sweet, polite and patient. The food is good and priced reasonably. The menu is quite extensive too. I don't really have a complaints other than how busy it was but that's supposed to be a good sign right? I'm a little bit picky about Mexican food because I spent 35 years in LA. My mom agrees Iguanas is not the same as Ernie's Tacos in Eagle Rock but it's still good for Indiana. We had the enchiladas while reminiscing about California.

I had 6 tacos (please don't judge haha): Shredded beef, grilled chicken, steak, carnita, chorizo, pastor. For $1-$2 you can't beat that!!! I also indulged in a SPIRIT-FREE margarita - specifically the Coconut/Pineapple which was refreshing (and safe for work hours!!) Customer Service: Our server was friendly and patient as we were a group of 6 ordering a little of everything. The crowd was somewhat light for the lunch hour so we got our food in a timely manner after ordering. Ambiance: This is a traditional mexican restaurant like others in the area and the decor is pretty common. With the taco special, I'm inclined to frequent more often, especially with the great service and casual atmosphere.
