So this is not something that I normally do but I went to the TJ Maxx in South Bay and I bought a ring. It said it was a gold and emerald ring. I took the ring and wore it for a couple of days and I only two emeralds that was on the ring was the two that was connected at the beginning the other emeralds to like crystals so today I got up and I said I'm gonna take it back. The man looked at me and told me I had changed the ring from another ring because I took the pricetag off of it. Well how the hell am I supposed to wear the ring with the price tag on it for one thing and then have you turned around because you're a black manager and have you standing in my black face and call me a damn liar piss me off so just please let John know that that black manager in the South Bay mall has got structure coming to him because you don't call me a liar you don't know me you don't even know me. The lady that I bought the ring from. I had a conversation with her about telling her how I was celibate and this was my Jesus ring and she had a nerve that still now look at me and tell me she had never seen me before I said well I'll be damn so what I did as I left my 34 fucking dollars in that goddamn store with them because I don't want anything else from TJ Maxx and any location, especially South Bay mall read more

Very, very, verg slow check out lines. I just left my stuff. Not worth it. Only 2 cashiers open with additional time (like a 10 minute process) for customers who want to open that TJX card. Cashiers should NOT solicit that card to customers unless the line is moving and there is enough staff. Really, you can have 2 cashiers, 6 waiting people in line and then the customers wants to fill out that form. OMG. Terrible ! read more

Still looking for dress shirts, I stopped into TJ's and looked around. The store is is A-OK shape with merchandise on the racks and very little on the floor. The phone recharging station is a nice touch. Not much in men's wear in the "big and tall" category, though. Good selection of housewares and kitchen stuff. read more

The TJ Maxx corporation is taking over South Bay Shopping Center! With Marshalls only a hop skip and a jump away, it's a tough sell to make this place feel different. This TJMaxx is the same as most; a store full of discounted name brand products. I did like the current layout. Especially since it felt like the adult clothing led right into the juniors and then into the children's department. If you were shopping with a teen, it'd be a breeze to keep your eye on them. The fitting rooms were clean, had lighting that highlighted every pore on my face (eek), and the fitting room attendant was by far the best employee in the store. I was using a cart and she put a sign on it to prevent someone from taking it while I was in the fitting rooms. Other folks weren't quite as helpful. The girl at the jewelry counter's compliments (pushes for me to buy an item) were so fake, it was hard to listen to. I asked someone where the carts were and she wasn't remotely helpful. My cashier asked me where the tag was on the shirt I was buying. How was I supposed to know? Instead of calling someone over, he had another cashier do it. I requested a tag which was done promptly but at that point I was itching to get out. All of these little bumps I'm willing to forgive, after all working retail around the holidays is the ultimate pain. Here's a quick breakdown to compare the Marshalls and the TJMaxx Marshalls - larger shoe selection - better clearance section - larger junior section with good displays TJMaxx - jewelry counter - luggage galore - a ton of holiday items My apologies to all the fellas, I didn't pay enough attention to your section. I love it here! You really can find some amazing deals... The crazy thing is that I rarely find good deals on clothes here... I feel the clothes are a bit over priced, but I don't come here for clothes. Honestly they have great deals on cosmetics, home goods and pet products! I get the most amazing things here for my pet. They have lots of organic dog treats and clothes for low prices. I even scored a warm winter coat for my puppy here for 9.99! I also love coming here for candles!!! They have some great brands including Yankee Candles for 9.99 and up which is a great savings compared to the 24.99 price tag the retail store sells them for, the store is also nice enough to always let my little guy (puppy) come in with me. Everyone here just loves him and some of the employees will even come over and say hello to him. I love TJ's! I'm definitely a maxinista! read more

This is a pretty good TJ Maxx, esp for what can be a rather ghetto (and i mean of ALL colors) strip mall. It's got a good amount of everything, and the turnover is fairly high. read more

Average tj maxx with nice home goods and furniture. I got my night stand here for $99 and it is nice. They have clothing, home goods, jewlery. They have most things in stock and isn't too messy either. I recommend this if you are in the area. read more

It's neat and open...but the selection leaves a lot to be desired. There really isn't much in the way of shoes and most of them were just tossed about in the section leaving many of them damaged. The children's section doesn't have too many options for clothing either. I'm hoping in the future they get a better selection instead of the 3 things they have now. read more

I went to this location and although I did get a few nice items of work attire I was kind of disappointed with the selection that they had. Especially with this being a new location I would have figured that maybe their selection would be way better than it was. The children's clothing was horrible in my opinion. I didn't see anything worth spending my money on for my son, and the shoe selection was basically non existent. There were shoes scattered everywhere and it just wasn't worth my time shifting through thrown about shoes. I did like what I found in the women's section, even though I had to damn near fight another woman to get the blouse that I wanted lol The dressing rooms were really nice and clean though thankfully. All in all I hope they get a better selection of attire soon. read more

I have been to this TJ Maxx a few times now and really have come to appreciate the store. In the same shopping area there is a Marshalls which we all know are both owned by TJX co., I have become so accustomed to the overly stocked, rather messy aisles and racks at Marshalls that I expected this store to start looking the same. I have been proving wrong, the store is always clean and well organized. The staff is available to answer questions and help locating items, but I find that later in the afternoon that the high school staff comes in and they hardly know anything about anything. I personally shop at TJ Maxx for stationary items, bags and shirts and honestly have found some great steals and deals. The open area makes for a better more relaxed shopping experience. And by keeping up the cleanliest you find that more and more customers are also doing there part to keep everything looking good. The only problem I have had at this location is with layaway. I placed a few items on layaway and came back in maybe three weeks after placing the items; while in line I struck up a conversation with another customer who was quite upset that they could not locate his items. After about 20 mins of waiting they lucked up and found his items. Now it was my turn and again they misplaced the order. I waited around for about an hour while they looked and looked. The manager came over and she also looked and looked. Nothing... a week later they still had not located my items. They willingly gave me back a full refund. Funny thing is I came back in a day later and my items were back on the rack together no less. So my motto for this location is if you love it buy it now. read more

This TJ Maxx has only been open for a few weeks. Everything in it is nice and neat. They have a great selection of clothes. I liked the kitchen and home products section of the store the most. I was unable to find mens' shoes with the exception of slippers which I purchased. This TJ Maxx also seemed to be much larger than most other TJ Maxx that I have visited in the past. I just this store does not go downhill like other ones in this shopping area have. read more

So I picked up an item I had on layaway and when I went to return the item I had a receipt which showed I paid cash, the cashier called the manager of the store to ask "was it okay" because I didn't have the "proper" receipt, although I had the receipt that was given to me. I believe it was due to the amount of the item, being that the item was $190.00 because the manager on December 26, 2013 at 7:00pm had asked the price over the phone and told the cashier that I had to bring it back to the original store, seems like discrimination, and I only say that because it was implied that the price if the item had a direct correlation to whether or not she was able to return the item. read more

Omg first time i go to this store in my life because i usually go to the one in my town in Natick and i would never go back to this store ever in my life not only is it ghetto but the lack of unprofessional employees they have working there. I was shopping with my boyfriend and i found i white Juniors tee and was going to buy it until i notice it was too small but instead of placing it back on the mens rack where i found it i i walked over and put it in the Juniors section where it belongs and an elderly women who works there by the name of Cherel thought i was just putting the shirt in the wrong section said ( i'm so F***ing sick of people coming here putting S*** where they want to) i was so shock that someone who works there would speak to a customer like that, like hello if anything i was helping you out. So i walk away tell my boyfriend that i want to go but before i left i went back to where she was to catch a glimpse of her name and she notice i was looking at her name tag and she said ( Now im getting ready to slap a B****). Wow TJ Maxx grate to scar your customers away. So i saw a young lady who was really nice and i asked her what were the mangers name so i could write a complain. I would tell my friend and family about this place and make shore they don't bring there kids if they do come here not friendly like at all and yall should hire people who want to work and are happy about there jobs. read more
