When we arrived at 6 we were the only ones there so expected good service. Once we sat down and looked at the menu we ordered drinks. I ordered a Dos Equis on tap but the waitress said they don't have beer on tap despite there being a whole selection in the menu... I picked a bottled drink and moved on. While looking at the menu I noticed a lot of items had new prices taped over the old price instead of just printing a new menu. Once we placed our food order it came out relatively quick. The food was dropped off and we never saw our waitress again. By the time our food came there were no open tables, it filled up really fast, but we were disappointed that none of us ever got refills on any of our drinks. We were also charged for 2 sodas when only 1 was ordered, but we never saw our waitress to ask for it to be corrected so just paid it. My food was pretty disappointing. The chicken and rice inside the burrito were dry as the Sahara. It sounded good and looked good in the menu but unfortunately it didn't come together at all. Had a craving for Mexican food and a margarita so decided to visit Tito's. We were greeted when we walked through the door. Had a question about a margarita they were featuring, and the host was able to answer my question. After we sat down, chips, salsa, waters and menus were brought to our table. A few minutes later we ordered our meals. The meat in our fajita orders was cooked well. Very tender. The veggies and side plates were also good. Everything went well with the margarita we ordered. So on this given day it was my friend and I for a lunch time get together so this was her spot and it was what was totally good for the given day! So after we met up we ventured here and upon arrival we were presented with chips and salsa which is always what's good in ever way they were decent the salsa was flavorful and that's what mattered most! Of the lunch combos I went with the one that had two chimichangas one beef and one chicken they both had done flavor to them and were good for what they should be so it was with that I would just enjoy these fried goodies as well as the yummy Spanish rice that accompanied it. We really didn't spend too much time here it was just lunch then off to our next adventure either way our service was good and the food was yummy so that's all you can really ask for in a way. Overall who knows If I'll done here again but if I do I know that it will be decently priced and pretty good Mexican food as that's just what I always like in some way or another! read more

This has been a lunch time option while in the area since I was introduced to it about a year ago. I don't think there is any specific issue here, it's just that there's nothing spectacular or unique about the food or service. The lunch menu is filled with many combinations if it's possible that you want a combination of something that isn't posted I'm sure they will accommodate you. The service was okay not over attentive by any means, actually there's little interaction once your food is delivered. The chips and salsa are okay and there are bottles of hot sauce available to kick it up and I definitely felt it needed some help. My last visit I chose a few tacos and a beef enchilada it tasted like any Mexican food I would find at a thousand different restaurant anywhere on the planet and the presentation didn't help the experience. Vegetarians -- do NOT come here! The menu even has a vegetarian section, but after confirming if the beans are vegetarian, I found out from the waiter that they contain lard! ... which basically invalidates the majority of the vegetarian menu. I had to ask three people about if the beans and rice were safe for vegetarians, all three said they were fine, and then the first person came back later to say the beans had lard. And he was laughing about it and asked if I was a vegan? Like it wasn't an issue for vegetarians too? That is AFTER we sat there for 20 minutes, seemed to surprise the waiter that we were at his table, didn't get to place an order when he asked if we were ready because he apparently wasn't... This was an awful dining experience. The wait staff was all over the place and seemed very discombobulated (we got offered chips when we already had a full basket, the waitress was counting which table she needed to bring drinks to, the waiter forgot he took our drink order).... never again will I be back and I WOULD NOT recommend this restaurant to any true vegetarians. read more

The lack of website and menu pictures here made ordering carryout super challenging. I ordered a vegetable fajita with no cheese or sour cream and received fajita vegetables in a tortilla with rice. No beans, gauc or lettuce like the one menu picture listed. So that was a bummer. The food was good though. I also ordered a half pitcher frozen marg and that was amazing. A friend and I ate here last night at the recommendation of other friends. I love Mexican food and have tried most of the other similar restaurants in the area, and Tito's did not disappoint. I love the cheese dip, especially when combined with their salsa. It goes perfectly with the tortilla chips. The portion sizes are good and the price can't be beat. Awesome margaritas! The food is your typical Ohio mexican food, but it's always been very fresh and very good. They are very accommodating to my husband when he pretty much makes up his own (vegan) burrito, and when he gets it the thing is HUGE! They have a really nice menu with a good variety and a nice vegetarian section. The restaurant itself is really nice and clean. The service has been, for the most part wonderful, except for the one blonde girl that's been our server a few times... Not the best. Definitely check it out. I have been coming to Portage Lakes all my life, staying in the nearly 100 year old lake cottage property that is in my family. We enjoy finding new restaurants in the area that are close and not too mainstream. I also happen to have a serious love for frozen margaritas out of a slushie machine and a good quesadilla. Thank you, Titos. Now I don't have to worry about getting my slushie and quesadilla fix at the lake. Service here is always great, food is always SO GOOD (way disproportionately good for a strip mall mexican restaurant in Portage Lakes) and I always leave super happy! They have lots of comfortable booths and all of the wait staff is friendly and helpful. My mom and sisters and I even went to the bar last time we were there just for margaritas and chips. Will look forward to coming back to Titos again and again during our trips to the lake. read more

It's become a tradition: for several years now, the evening before Thanksgiving, a group of friends and I meet at Tito's for a pre-Thanksgiving meal. That Wednesday is 1/2 price margarita night only adds to the enjoyment. Sometimes there is a line out the door, sometimes there is not. So I try to get there a little early to grab a table for 8. So far, we've not had a problem if we arrive by 6:00PM (others may drag in up to 6:30, but that's all right). For as long as I have been going there, the food has been fantastic. Drinks are never weak. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Whether having the nachos (half order is sufficient) or a meal platter (always some left to take home), I have never regretted what I ordered. I always liked their salsa, and the white cheese dip is worth it. It's not all that close to where I live but if it were, I'd be there more often than just a couple of times a year. read more

Not the best Mexican and I actually have a funny story. We ordered Huevos Rancheros as we were on a kick for it and basically use it to determine the level of quality for a Mexican restaurant. Food here was very good and filling. Service was good as it could be with only one server working. However, I will not go back to this restaurant again because of one thing. There is a flag hanging that is half American flag half Mexican flag which is extremelly offensive to both countries. If the owners are of Mexican descent and have legally become Americans that means they have taken the oath to adopt our flag, that they have consented to defend our country and that they're loyalty lies now with America not Mexico. I feel this aberration that they have hanging in the restaurant of a flag that is half USA and half Mexico is a complete slap in the face to every American and I will not eat at their restaurants again. There are many other Mexican restaurants in town that show respect to both countries individually and I, my family and friends will frequent them but will never go in Tito's again. read more

Tito's doesn't do it for me. The seating area is congested and the portion sizes are bologna. The best part about eating at a Mexican restaurant is destroying an entire plate of rice to yourself. Yes the margaritas will put you to bed early, but once your done eating the service stops. Every time I've come here I feel so rushed to get up and leave. Not to mention the waiting line is basically in a closet/entrance door. The serves are very friendly and the place is clean. Mixture of Mexican oasis and Marilyn Monroe decor. Ok, so I came here because I heard it was better than El Fagon... I'm gonna go ahead and declare El Fagon the winner... titos came in a close second... food was amazing. I got the Mexican quesadilla with a side of rice and beans and I really liked it. The only knock I have is that the service was slow. I usually go all in on margaritas at the Mexican establishments, but had to wait for more margs... shouldn't have to wait for more margs lol. Decided to try this place out after reading all the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was not the same as the other yelpers. I ordered the Guadalajara special, It was the most bland food I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant; no seasoning at all, to be exact. I added some salt, but that was no help. After two bites, I boxed it up to take home and see if my husband had a different opinion (He didn't.) The chips and salsa were very tasty.
