I've been coming to this location for various things including alignments, oil changes, coolant checks and the like for more than 15 years and I've always been satisfied with the service I've received and the good customer service. They are efficient, communicate decently and give you options for the work that needs to be done. I've used them mainly for wheel alignments and always been pleased. I bought tires here less than a year ago and my tires are under warranty. I took my car in for a nail in the tire 3 weeks ago. I made an appointment. I waited 45 minutes for them to fix my tire. They said they found the leak and patched it up. The same tire kept losing air so I took it to a different tire repair shop. They couldn't find any patch at all and the nail was still in my tire. Tires Plus lied to me about fixing my tire! I was driving around on that! They are extremely negligent! My tire could've blown on me. I am pissed! I do not recommend this tire shop to anybody. They clearly do not care about Customer safety! They are also extremely sexist and rude to women! read more

Shame shame shame on the unscrupulous practices at this location. I made an appointment for an alignment and paid 9.95 for a tire rotation and complete vehicle inspection. They told me that I needed new rear brake pads and rotors totaling $550 but they'd give me $50 off. I was pressured to do the job immediately and that I only had 2mm on my pads and my rotors were so bad that they could not be resurfaced. They lied!!!! I had my friends husband confirm the estimate and he said NO! They are taking advantage of you. An $80 set of brake pads and 37 minutes later, I got new rear brakes AND there was NOTHING wrong with the rotors. Shame on you!!! read more

Customer service was poor. I don't remember his name but he talked to me like i was dumb. I have a 2016 honda civic and came in for one tire change. Took 4 + hours and my car veers to the left. I told the cashier i might need an alignment and he told me i didn't need one. They also said that if i needed an alignment it would take 3 days. $116 for everything. What a scam! Not very friendly and super fake! Made an appointment for 11 am on a Monday, and had serviced a tire repair, tire rotation, and AC Check! When I arrived I told Terry that before they add a new service charge, to please call me. I was told, "of course, we won't add anything until we let you know". Got a call 4 hours later and was told they put AC refrigerant in it to test it and my final cost was 350 out the door, after originally quoted 50$! I got no call before hand considering I would've told them just do the tire work. The scam however is you don't need AC refrigerant to test the AC! I found myself with a vehicle that had a brake warning light on intermittently and needed to get it checked out. I found myself looking for a business open on Sunday's and came across Tires Plus. I was able to make an appointment online Saturday evening for the following day. We arrived and spoke with Perry. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and told us they would perform a brake inspection and give me a call. I received a phone call from Perry a couple of hours later and he told me my truck needed both front and rear brakes, I really was not surprised given the fact my truck has 75,000 miles. We arrived shortly before 5pm and my truck was being finished up. I had looked on their website before I picked my vehicle up and was able to print coupons totaling $60.00. I was actually really pleased I walked out with a bill under $375.00 total. I feel really good about the services provided and really appreciate Perry and his communication and knowledge. A week ago I paid this location over $2,000 to do various things to my vehicle. I took it home and there were new noises and it sounded like it was going to fall apart. We drove from Sacramento to Reno, and then our car got stuck in Boomtown. Once we popped the hood there was coolant everywhere. We slowly drove it to GSR. The next day we were calling around, to see if there any shops that would take in the car. It took a while but we got recommended from another auto body shop. They are extremely fast, he brought the car in around 9 o'clock in the morning after we called. Towards three or 4 o'clock, they had already figured out what's wrong. Apparently I needed a new radiator cap, oil change, coolant, cabin filter, engine filter, and a thermostat. They were able to order the part and finish it the following day before 12 PM. Which was absolutely amazing because we checked out around 11. The day I got quoted $600. We went to go grab the car, and the guy had said it was 800. We were very confused because on the phone we were told 600. However there wasn't a big problem to it, we were charge our original quote. The car was able to take us back to my sisters in Sacramento safely. I highly recommend this place because, apparently it's really hard to find a place that will take you in the same day. We called so many places to do dialysis, however nobody would take us until the week after. They were super fast and efficient, and I had no issues with them at all. read more

I went to this location to get an estimate on new tires. Employee kept looking for my old car model tires that I brought to them many many years ago because that was in their system, not the new car that I have now. I must have told him my new car 3 to 4 times and he still was confused. He finally prints something out and hands it to me and says "here is your quote". He never asked me what brand of tires or style I was looking for. He just printed something out and handed it to me. I asked "what is this, we didn't even go over anything". He then walked over to a tire and started pointing towards it. I got frustrated on the way this was handled, so I just left. I get to my car and look at the printed quote and you will never guess... it was an estimate for my old car, not the new car that I kept telling him it was. Perry Jones is my hero. I was on my way from Fallon to the Bay Area CA. I got something in my tire and was leaking air at a rapid rate. Every other tire shop that was open on this unfortunate Sunday told me to beat feet. He told me "don't panic, calm down, come in and I will help you" and he stuck to his word. My tire was not repairable but he was able to get a tire similar enough to be safe. I'm back on the road home thanks to Perry. I came in to Tires Plus on Friday December 24th at 3:05 pm, 45 minutes before closing and yes on Xmas eve. You could tell these guys wanted to go home and be with their families but yet they still did a great job with customer service and sales. My tire had a mail in the sidewall that could not be patched up. Thea sold me a good tire at a reasonable price and mounted it right away. I have been coming to this Tires Plus for 7 years with various vehicles & have always been completely happy with it. When I didn't have much money, they worked with me to find deals on used parts. I will not come here again. The manager who always worked with me is gone. Yesterday I blew out a tire and came here on the donut. They could only offer me one tire for a compact Toyota at $188 for one tire. They told me I would need to leave the car overnight. Today they told me at 2:15 on the phone that it would be ready in an hour. It's 5pm and I am still waiting at the shop for them to change the tire. It took us about 10 min to put the donut on. The guy at the desk said they are backed up because they only have two people working today, but I can see more than two people working in my line of sight right now. read more

Helped my mother bring her car in for an oil change. (It's a commercial vehicle she drives for work and has all maintenance paid for by her work) and "Joe" made it extremely clear that he hates people that bring in commercial vehicles. He was extremely snotty towards us both and eventually told us it would be out by early afternoon. It's been 2 days now and we've called him several times just to be told "it's a work vehicle anyways so why do you need it?" In as rude of a voice as he can make. He'll purposely not work on your vehicle because he doesn't like doing commercial cars. He lied straight to our face about when it was going to be done and then treated us like shit for asking when it's gonna be done. It shouldn't take 2 days to do an oil change. Took my daily driver vehicle in for an alignment service and was disappointed with the tech that worked on my car. He scratched the powdercoat on 3 of the 4 wheels when he was placing/removing the attachments that go onto the wheels for the alignment machine. This is unacceptable so I complained to the manager, he said he would reimburse me for some touch-up paint if I purchased some. I never could find any matching paint and when I went back to see if there was anything else he could do he no longer worked there. I will not be returning to this store, nor will I recommend them to any friends. read more

This really irritated me. I'll start by saying my husband gets really bad dizzy spells (to the point of passing out). When we walked in & he got a dizzy spell & fell into a chair (luckily he made it to a chair and didn't flop on there sidewalk). The two employee's just stood there (dahhh!), never said a word, never offered help, and the 2 costumers did nothing (one never looked up from his phone). DON'T HELP US!!! (And he is a 100% Disabled Veteran). One the other hand about the tires... We came in on the spare with the flat in the truck, they quoted us one price and didn't keep there word (almost $800 for two tires). The only good thing they where pretty quick (about 45 mins).. I am amending this review from this morning. The manager seemed to really want to please me in the end. He went out of his way to get me tires and had them in 1.5 hrs. Amazing. Still doesn't negate that there is an issue with getting lied to and the lack of follow through in the first place but it shows me that he may be able to turn this around! I am most pleased by the extra effort AND THE CALLS!!! THANK YOU! Amending to a 4 star...still an issue but the service made up a lot of the issue... So once again I am playing the waiting game here! I scheduled an appointment last Thurs for Weds 4/18 to get tires, oil change, and a check on brakes that the other store put on for me (a total change out that cost me $700 and left me with badly squeaky brakes)... I called back Fri wanting to move this up 1 day as my vacation started earlier than I thought. They said no problem. I called back Sat to see if they had the tires there or to make sure they would be in and all would be ready...because they have screwed me time-wise before many times. Usually if they say they will call they wont and hours later I call and find out my car has been ready for like 2 hrs or that they can't get some part and meant to call me hours ago or that even though I dropped the car off at 8am they are having a busy day and haven't managed to squeeze me in by like 3pm! CONSTANT ISSUES WITH THIS PLACE! So I got there at 830 and the new manager (changed again recently I guess) couldn't find my tires. Then it was the gal who rescheduled me that forgot to order them. Now I am waiting hours longer for them to come from Carson via a Autozone shipment they can sidesaddle because they didn't get my crap and lied to me about being ready for today. I am not enjoying my seething hatred for this place and the wait game ONCE AGAIN during my vacation that is supposed to lower my stress. Hope this helps others not fall into this trap. First off I'd like to say that as a women going to any auto shop with very little knowledge is hard enough, but it's even harder when the men that work on your car scam and take advantage of you. I made a 9:00am appointment on Saturday and told them I needed 2 front tires to match my backs which were 215's. After 2 hours joe the mechanic comes out and tells me I'll need all new lug nuts because he finished rounding them off and can't get them off. You would think after 20 minutes maybe even an hour he would of said that before taking all of them off. He tried to sell me 10 lug nuts for 127$ as being on a budget like most I couldn't afford the lug nuts but he ended up giving them to me for free. Great! I appreciate that, I've been to tires plus numerous times and didn't even care how long it took I just couldn't wait to get my tires on. After another hour joe comes out with my car which has the new tires in the back (I have front wheel drive) but left the front tires on which were meant to be replaced because I had been putting green slime and putting air in the tire the past 2 weeks. I mentioned maybe it was a mistake as my backs were 215's and the front ones never got changed and were 225's. Both Paul the manager and joe the mechanic gaslit me and told me no those were the ones In the rear. Paul said he had no idea what goes on back there. He stated my back tires were the worst of all. I was already frustrated and tried to explain to him that the backs were not as bad as the fronts, I haven't had to put air in them, or slime, another tire shop said they were in better condition than my fronts. Upon inspecting my vehicles tires (still in the parking lot) I noticed my driver window wouldn't go up more than 1/2 way. When brought to Paul's attention he stated "IF YOU HAVE MONEY I CAN FIX IT" It had been snowing in reno for the last 3 days, I would of known if my window wasn't closing properly. I also noticed my front now left tire had green slime and a nail still in it. Which means tires plus never inspected my tires. They switched the fronts left to right and changed out my backs ones even tho the fronts were the worst tires of all. They proceeded to "fix my tire by patching it and fixed my window" But refused to put the right tires on the front. I was extremely unhappy, embarrassed and frustrated. Paul wouldn't help me solve my problem he kept interrupting me, he was extremely sexist and just down right unprofessional. I called the following day to speak to a manager, Paul stated he was the manager. I asked for a refund my tire service was nothing that I expected, i had the wrong tires on which he admitted they messed up, but refused to fix. I also asked if I could speak to somebody higher up, or if there was another person I could speak to. Paul stated "nope it's just me, you can't talk to anybody else and I'm not giving you a f*cking refund" I have never had such terrible service. I sat at tires plus from 9am-1:30pm Joe failed to mention the different tire sizes, he failed to mention he was having a hard time with lug nuts. He also failed to mention my broken window. Paul the MANAGER failed to be any actual help. He belittled me, bullied me and treated me like a child. He didn't care for anything I had to say. He was rude and absolutely no help, he couldn't answer any of my questions and he was anything but respectful. I have contacted someone higher above Paul to receive my refund, I have also put in a complaint with the better business bureau. And on another note, the same tire I've been filling up for 2 weeks that they didn't notice the nail in the tire and supposedly fixed it is still leaking. I spent 260$ and 5 hours of my time and still left with 2 different tire sizes and the same tires I asked to be changed. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

TLDR: Tires plus... plus what you ask? Lies and deceit. Brought in my vehicle to get a slight tire leak looked at and was told I had three holes in it and needed the tire replaced and that the tread was more than 50% worn so I'd need all 4 to not negatively effect the car with one full tread tire. It's a 1 year old car so none of that made sense to me. So I brought it to the dealership and it just needed a patch and they didn't agree with the wear recommendation either. Seems like I was just being blatantly lied to to get me to buy a full set of tires. Don't go here, buyer beware!!! I was in TirePlus at 1250 N McCarren on Monday January 4 2021 at 1 pm for an alignment. After having my car for an hour in the bay they came back and told me they could not do an alignment as the inner tie rods were bad and it would cost $793. Therefore, I went for a second opinion to Certified Brake and Alignment the owner of that business confirmed THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY TIES RODS!!! Previous to this I went in to the same location for another service and they told me I needed brakes which I had done a few months previous at Hyundai. This location (probably all Tires Plus) is ripping people off. I notified them that I am filing a complaint with the FTC, BBB and Yelp In fact, I am taking it one step further and going to tell local news stations to air my story. read more
