This place really sucks. I had an issue with my last set of tires and they screwed up the alignment. I took it back and it is still not right. This was a 2014 Cruz with 36,000 miles on it. I tried to make it right by leaving my original review here and I was told that they take their alignments serious and they would resolve it. They didn't. I got one email that was replied to twice and never got a response after two weeks. The car still pulls to the left and I will never deal with tire discounters again. If your car isn't pulling or wearing the tires uneven, don't let these monkey's touch it, or it will never be right again. I have two more Vehicles that need tires. I bought a set from Walmart and delivered to my door for free. Had them installed for $80 at a local shop with a 30 minute wait. Not 5 or 6 hours like this place treats you. Saved me $200 off Tire Discounters price and it tracks like it did before. Straight! Do yourself a favor, Save 50% and be happy you drove right by this store. read more

Before my latest experience, I would have given this store a much higher rating. Like Chris F., I've been frustrated by calling to schedule an appointment only to be told by the front desk team upon arrival "we don't work on appointments." But, I've always been willing to overlook that in favor of exemplary service and, I assumed, honest sales associates. I've been very pleased with tire purchases here for a few vehicles, and would have been likely to recommend them to friends for tire purchases and oil changes alike. However, I was in last week for a routine oil change and tire rotation and was told that I needed new brakes, shocks and struts on my car. I thanked them for the heads up and proceeded to take my car to my regular mechanic to investigate the issue. My regular mechanic confirmed that the brake pads should be replaced, but told me that the shocks and struts were both completely fine. He then continued to inform me that TD is known for upselling people on products their cars don't actually need because their sales team makes commission on parts sold. How disappointing. As a result, I have lost confidence in Tire Discounters. I no longer believe that they are as honest and trustworthy as I originally thought, and I would caution other customers to get a second opinion before acting on major work suggested by the sales team! read more

I went to Tire Discounters in December to purchase new tires. No issues with my brakes when I took my vehicle there for tires. While my vehicle was there, I was called to inform me I needed new back brakes. I stated okay and paid for. My brakes have not stopped squeaking loudly since. I brought my vehicle back to the shop in January to address breakers squeaking. I was told they used a "defective part" and the brakes were "fixed." It's March, and my brakes are squeaking louder than ever. I was told to bring my vehicle back in for a third time. However, I'm extremely pregnant, have a lot of appointments related to pregnancy, and work full time. I don't have time to continue to bring my vehicle back and not have my vehicle for hours, because they usually have my vehicle all day. Needless to say, Im not happy. Paid a lot. Also, have Squeaky brakes, when that was never an issue to begin with. Would not recommend. read more

I gave it a five last time, but funny how things change. The repair was fine but the checkout was a 35 minute disaster. First, the car was in the previous owners name since they didn't bother to ask my name when I dropped off the car, so that took 10 minutes to fix. Then they couldn't process my Tire Discounter card since their system was doing a time change upgrade in the middle of the day, so they had to process my bill by hand. The best part the staff member and Manager argued over where the paper forms were. After another 20 minutes of processing my payment over the phone and on paper, the staff member and Manager AGAIN argued how to close out the computer screen to give me a receipt. I asked if I could receive a courtesy for my 35 minute wait, and the staff member didn't even look up and said "see him", pointing to the Manager. I walked at with 35 minutes of my life I'll never get back, and a sorely dissatisfied regular customer; no thanks to Ron and Chris. read more

My partner and his family always go here for tire-related repairs, so my partner took me there when I had my TPMS light come on. Best customer service ever! Todd was extremely knowledgeable and friendly to us when we went there today. I had my first "flat tire" experience when I found a nail in my rear passenger tire, and he offered to patch it up and check the alignment for free when everything wasn't done in the time that was promised (and even after that, it only took less than 30 minutes for him to take care of what wasn't done before). Very impressed with the quick and efficient service! Even though no appointments were available, he squeezed me in and helped me because he knew I had an emergency situation. We blew a tire wall on our way through town. We were driving through with two small children (6 weeks and 2 years). This location was what pulled up as the closest tire location and as we were stranded with two children it was our best choice. We dealt with Josh who was knowledgeable and gave us our options. He told us it would end up taking about 2 hours and they were able to finish in about an hour. We were able to walk to lunch and return to a finished car and get back on the road. I went here on April 2 of 2016 for an oil change and got talked into getting the Max Flow Package with my oil change. Had an appt at 10 because I had an appointment to be at by 1. Thought it would be cool. Close to 1 I'm asking about my car. The gentleman at the desk said it would be done before then. Come 12:45 I'm like "What's up with my car?" The guy checks and says "They just started it." I'm upset because I told him in advance that I had this appointment and I wouldn't get the Max Flow Package if I couldn't make the appointment. He offered to take me to my appointment. I'd been waiting so long that I my phone was dead. When he drove me up there I asked if he could wait. I was only getting blood draw. He said he couldn't. I had to walk from my docs office back to get my car which was about 45 minutes only to arrive and my car still wasn't done. It's like 3 something now! Almost 5 o'clock is when I get my car. They say everything is all good and me being pissed, I paid and left. Fast forward to May 19th. My oil light comes on. This is odd because usually I'll get the maximum mileage before I need to change my oil. I thought it must've been a malfunction with the car because my trips haven't been as frequent as they usually are. I mean, I may have driven less because at the time I was packing my home and preparing to move 15 minutes away. I'm driving one day and my engine starts making this God awful noise. I'm not sure why so I'm thinking maybe I should just take it to get seen the next day. I go to target and put new oil in it and leave. While on the highway my car gets louder. I get off on the nearest exit and pull over. After I pull over? I realize that I need to get this car to a shop. I get to the nearest shop. Leave my car there and go to get a rental. The guys from the shop call me and tell me that my whole engine is shot. I'll need a new one. I'm like WTF!!! I just took it to Tire discounters for servicing and they said it was cool. I hadn't been running on low oil that long and the light just had started coming on. I'm not sure what they (Tire Discounters) did but in a little under two months, my car went from being cool to needing a new engine, potentially costing me thousands of dollars. This used to be a great tire store, but until they address some customer service issues, I'd suggest checking out the nearby Bob Sumerel Tire, 476 Orphanage Road, Fort Wright, 859-341-6222. Here's how it used to be. A couple years ago, my wife and I drove her car to the store to pick up mine, which was having tire service. The store manager noticed a tire on my wife's car was low on air, and he asked one of the techs to inflate it--even though hers wasn't the one being serviced, it was raining and it was a few minutes before closing time. That's great customer care. Unfortunately, that manager is no longer at the Fort Wright store. Flash forward to this month, when the store inspected a flat on my wife's car and determined the aluminum wheel needed attention a repair specialist in Cincinnati could provide. I then drove a half hour during a weekday to the specialist (they're not open weekends and are closed during lunch). When I got there, I was surprised to learn Tire Discounters had never returned the wheel and tire to the trunk of my car. I called the store, asked for the employee who helped me and was told he was busy. I left a message, and proceeded to drive back to the store. He never got my message. Ultimately, after chatting with a manager named Enrique, I got my tire and wheel back and arranged for some cost sharing of the wheel work, since it will involve two hours of travel--all on my compact spare tire--to fix the wheel. When I came back to Tire Discounters a few days later, there was no record of the cost sharing arrangement at the store, and the store had to call Enrique to approve it. Turns out he doesn't work there regularly. Fortunately, I'd asked for his business card. (He hadn't offered it.) We agreed to apply it to a wheel alignment. When I arrived later in the day to pick up the car after the alignment, I was quoted the full price--Enrique's discount still hadn't been applied. I had to mention it again for it to go through. Next, I brought my second car in for warranty tire rotation and balancing. When I went to pick it up, the staff had parked it in the disabled spot closest to the door. I counted five open spaces farther away. I'm not disabled, don't have a disabled license plate and don't have a disabled hang tag. I mentioned this to the staff member, explaining that I used to work for a man who used a wheel chair (and therefore needed disabled parking) and pointed out the importance of keeping those spots open for those truly requiring them. Obviously, after having experienced several customer service issues within the timeframe of less than one month, I'd say this Tire Discounters has some room for improvement. read more

Came in for an alignment and was told that my tire rods were slightly worn down. I was assured that there were plenty in stock and it would only be another 30 minutes in addition to the 45 minutes I was told for the alignment. The tire rods were not in fact in stock and an hour and a half later they arrived. My hour or so wait ended up being almost 4 hours. I feel like I should have been told that there were non in stock so I could have planned accordingly or opted out of the additional service. I wouldn't recommend any additional work done here other than what you had already planned for. read more

These guys are fair, honest, reliable and informative. Young women such as myself are typically targeted and taken advantage of, but that's not the case here. They are upfront and honest about what needs to be done with my vehicle and what doesn't. They are customer service based and will tell you all of your options even if it means buying something elsewhere for a better price than they can offer. I always come here to get routine oil changes. The most recent time I was fresh out of wiper fluid and they filled it up and left me coupons, but charged me the same low rate as always. Dropped my car off for a tire rotation, and after inspection was told the treads were at 3/32 which still passes for a rotation. I was surprise because the Mazda dealership told me I had 50% life left on the tires 2 weeks earlier. I was told I am probably better off leaving them because the tires with less wear should be in the back. With that logic, I'd never rotate the tires. Anyways, I decide to go ahead with the rotation, so cool, I should come back in an hour or so. After killing time in the area for about an hour, I come back to find out the tires weren't done because a further inspection revealed that one of the tires had more wear on the inner tread. Come on now! I just burned thru an hour, waiting for my rotation after passing the first inspection. This is a dishonest attempt to sell more tires. Not a desire to keep people safe or protect themselves from liability. I would encourage anyone that still has reasonable tires to avoid them, unless they are well above 4/32 tread depth. Even if the tires are acceptable, if they manage to find anything at all on the tire that dips into the 2/32 range that is all the technicality they need to refuse a rotation, even if the most worn tires continue to get the most wear on the same spots. In any case, I'm done ever getting service there, or buying tires there again in my life. The cashier was 'that's fine', and I understand why. He doesn't care, he just works there, and they can afford it because they have a lot of customers willing to put up with it. I will also encourage everyone I know to avoid them. There are so many better alternatives. Alternatives for tire rotation, and much more inexpensive tires elsewhere. For a just a little extra work, we can find better alternatives, save some money, and avoid throwing more tires into the environment at the drop of a hat. read more

I've been coming here for various services on my last 3 cars and I've never had less than stellar service and treatment. I had a tire emergency two days ago and ended up taking my car there to buy new ones since they were running specials on several tire brands. They were out of the Pirelli that I chose and called quite a few other stores to try to get a set transferred for me. They found a set to be transferred the next day, which was great. I was able to leave my car overnight so they could get to it first thing when the tires arrived. I was told that they would call me to let me know when they started working on my car, which they did. Luck had it that there was an inventory glitch and there were no Pirellis available for transfer after all, but the associate that I had been dealing with told me that since their inventory was incorrect, they would give me the comparable Michelins at the same price. What????? I was really impressed that they offered that instead of trying to simply sell me a different tire. I'm so happy with the way they handled my situation. I love my Michelins and I'm thrilled with how this particular Tire Discounters store always comes through. I've always gotten the best advice and had the nicest experiences here, even though it is always slammed and I'm sure that gets stressful for them. By far the worst customer service I've ever seen. My fiancé dropped her car off at noon. Around 5 she was told he car was ready. We came to pick up the car and it hadn't been looked at yet. Someone mistook it for another car similar to hers. We were then told they close at 8. But our car may not be looked at until possibly midnight. My father called in and got them to commit to it being completed by 8. We got a bite to eat and waited in the parking lot for over an hour. They turned the open sign off and my fiancé went in and asked about her car. They stated she needed a new tire which was not something we expected. There were issues with bubbling because of the improper way the tire was put on. We were told they would do it for no charge until we needed a new tire. Then they dropped the price. We had no choice but to pay it. They lost my fiancé and I as customers forever. I can't believe it. It is 8:38 and we were told at 8 it would only be 15 more minutes. I can't believe this. read more

My husband has contacted Tire Discounters through email previously and has not been contacted back regarding some work we had done on our 2006 Ford Fusion. We realized our brake pedal was not engaging until very low to the floor and brought it by during my husbands lunch break one day to have it looked at. He was made to wait although he had an appointment for 2 hours to be told it was the master cylinder that needed to be replaced in order to fix the problem. The store was closing so he returned a few days or day later to have it fixed. When he picked up our vehicle he paid by master card but before he was given the keys back they told him that the problem was only partially fixed and that now he also needed to replace the brakes, rotors and calipers to fully fix the problem. Once inside his vehicle and driving home he realized that the problem was not fixed at all. We paid 300 dollars to fix a problem and not having the problem fixed concerned us so he reached out to a regional manager online and was never contacted back. We paid to have a problem fixed on a car and the problem was not fixed. I emailed them again today. Hopefully we can fix this problem but I don't have a lot of faith since they completely ignored our first email. Pretty disappointing. I will be filing a dispute on our master card for the charges. Waste of time and money. Don't bring your car to this place. read more
