Tipsy scoop was a fun place to try. The concept of boozy ice cream is unique and lends itself to a pleasant textural experience. The alcohol just does something wonderful to already delicious ice cream. The service was great. We were the only ones there and so we were able to casually taste several flavors. Everything was good but only one or two really tasted like it had alcohol. I'm usually not a sorbet guy but those flavors definitely tasted more like what I was expecting. We settled on a sundae for my wife's birthday. It was ok. They put it in their signature glass (which we have a voucher for because they were out). Problem is, it's a bit hard to get the ice cream. What a unique experience. 2 scoops of ice cream is equivalent to one adult beverage in alcohol content. They allow you to sample flavors prior to picking your scoop. We tried the Vanilla Bean Bourbon and Tequila Mexican Hot Cocoa. And you know we had to add sprinkles. Along with them we tried the Ginger Huckleberry Cider from Bend. A great place to go after dinner! It's dessert and booze, so how could it get any better. I enjoy their assortment of flavors, especially the marigold. Though it's refreshing and the season isn't hot, it still tastes great. I couldn't really toast the alcohol, though I'm not complaining. I'm sure if I ate enough I would feel it... This review is for the cocktail class I took from a vegan perspective. I can't recommend the class for vegans. However, I had been to a Yelp event that was fabulous! The vibe was colorful and fun! There were definitely vegan cocktails! That was kind of what I was expecting for the class. On the day of the class, I arrived about an hour early. I wanted to make sure I could find parking because I know parking in the area can be tricky. But I found one close to Tipsy Scoop. I entered the shop and made sure I informed them that I was vegan. The first cocktail wasn't going to be a problem because it was made from sherbet. The 2nd cocktail was not vegan in the least and she was going to ask her boss what could be done for me. I left for a bit to find dinner, didn't want cocktails on an empty stomach. I returned and my other friends had arrived. We were the only 4 taking the class. I was really hoping for a bigger turnout to mimic the Yelp event party in the back room that was fun and lively. But the class was more subdued and a few people trickled in to have an adult ice cream. Snacks of store bought (non vegan) cookies, strawberries and grapes were provided. The first cocktail was made in a narrow glass, since I wouldn't be making the 2nd cocktail, I grabbed the owl glass that had a wider opening. It was difficult to get scoops of the sherbet in the narrow opening. They provided gummies to decorate the cocktail, contains gelatin so not vegan. The cocktail contained 3 different flavors of sherbet and prosecco ..it was delicious. The second cocktail contained chocolatey ice cream and a buzz ball. Since it wasn't vegan I didn't make a cocktail. I was offered a pint of sherbet since I couldn't make a cocktail. At a certain point, we were able to get tastes of all the ice cream. There were 3 flavors of sherbet, I tasted them individually and liked the raspberry limoncello the best, so that's what I chose for my pint. They gave us a free glass, I already had one from the Yelp event. I took the buzz ball home and gave it to my daughter. I also gifted the pint to my daughter's boyfriend. Moving forward, I wouldn't sign up for the class again, it was $65 and not vegan friendly. There is a dairy free ice cream, but they were out of it on the day I took the class. Full disclosure (again): I am not an ice cream guy, so this review is a second-hand experience, based on my wife's input...and if I can trust her, so can you! Indecisiveness firmly took hold as she made her way to the counter; unable to choose just one flavor, she ordered the $18 boozy flight, selecting the whiskey caramel, Mexican hot chocolate, marionberry vodka, and spiked hazelnut coffee. Out of the four, the one she expected to enjoy the least, the whiskey caramel, was her favorite, although she said all of them were amazing, and definitely wants to return again in the future! The alcohol content is low enough to almost be undetectable, which can be good, bad, or dangerous, depending on your tolerance level. The cocktails and sundaes seemed a bit much for our tastes (she has a moderate capacity for sugar consumption, whereas mine is nearly non-existent), so the flight was absolutely the right choice for us; your mileage may vary. The staff were wonderful from start to finish, the interior décor is minimal, clean and spacious, but fills up easily when there is a crowd or a line (which is frequent). There was, however, a strange odor about the interior of the building that I could not identify, that encouraged me to grab one of the outside tables instead. Another reviewer said it smelled like moth balls; I cannot say with certainty whether or not this is the case, but I can definitively say that didn't like it. Excellent operating hours for us night owls (any place open past 9:00 PM is a winner in my book (11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, daily), great location, amazing staff, and a unique and delicious dessert, all combine together to make Tipsy Scoop as delectable as an ice cream sundae...with a little booze as the cherry on top! read more

Opening is finally here!! Been waiting since 2023 for this to finally open up! Everyone showed up and showed out for this event. Huge grand opening with live music, samples and lots of excitement. Tipsy started out on the east coast and PDX is their first west coast location. They've got boozy infused ice cream, sundaes, shakes, drinks and everything you could want. I was so excited to try this place while visiting the area. I took a Lyft over and as soon as I walked in there was an overwhelming smell of moth balls. It was so awful I started to get a headache and had to sit outside. Even sitting outside the wafts of it was so strong I asked the person I was with if we could leave. I'm not sure why or how anyone would electively sit in that smell. But, there was a line inside and patrons just eating their orders as if there was not an awful smell. I know I wasn't alone because another couple outside agreed to it and also had a headache from it.
