This visit was a first for this location, and the variety of boozy ice cream flavors available was impressive. The availability of alcohol-free options and ice cream choices specifically for children makes it very convenient for families to visit together. Being able to enjoy a Mother's Day weekend without needing to make separate stops for different family members was a highlight. Additionally, the staff member working inside was very friendly and welcoming. The ice cream flight of samples was an excellent choice, as it allowed for trying several different alcohol-infused flavors. Each sample provided enough to fully appreciate the unique taste combinations and the quality of the ingredients.

Tastes just like regular ice cream! So yummy! Could hardly taste the infused liquor, Love the ice cream decor and very cool to sell little alcohol bottles to pair with your sundae. Want to give extra credit to the workers there, having to deal with a very busy crowd! They were so nice all evening and very helpful serving everyone, all smiles. The business owner was also very nice and excited for her business future! She got a sweet concept going on. The menu sounded great, and I thought I knew what I wanted until I got up there and then couldn't decide between three of them; I went with the tequila sunrise. The whiskey dreams was a close second. I did get a sample of the whiskey salted caramel and was literally to die for! I wish I could eat every sundae and not feel bad about myself. I'll just have to visit weekly till I get through them all ;) Open all week from 11am-11pm, located down off Mississippi AVE- very busy area (parking can be difficult). It'll be great to enjoy dinner and then dessert on date night.

Absolutely love the ice cream! it was so creamy and you couldn't even taste the alcohol in it. My absolute favorite was their spiked hazelnut! The service was amazing and absolutely love the girl that served us. Right away she was very helpful and let us sample a variety of their flavored. The ambiences is very relaxing. The music choice was great. Definitely will be coming back to try other flavors.

Tipsy scoop was a fun place to try. The concept of boozy ice cream is unique and lends itself to a pleasant textural experience. The alcohol just does something wonderful to already delicious ice cream. The service was great. We were the only ones there and so we were able to casually taste several flavors. Everything was good but only one or two really tasted like it had alcohol. I'm usually not a sorbet guy but those flavors definitely tasted more like what I was expecting. We settled on a sundae for my wife's birthday. It was ok. They put it in their signature glass (which we have a voucher for because they were out). Problem is, it's a bit hard to get the ice cream. I would have liked some more toppings. Skip the small doughnut on top. They have something for everyone, including the kids and folks who don't drink. Definitely worth checking out.

The GOOD - Great flavors and texture of the sherbets - You can taste just the right amount of alcohol, not too overbearing and not completely drowned out by the ice cream either - Tried the mango, strawberry, and raspberry. The mango and strawberry were my favs! - Personally liked the COCKTAILS more than the sundaes which were basically a few scoops of ice cream, a few gummies, with a bit of booze on top, kinda like a float but with more ice cream. - Vibes were great and love how they're open till 11pm OTHER THOUGHTS - I like the idea of the sundae but not sure if I liked the default menu options. Curious if they are customizable. Would be nice if it was a DIY kinda thing! OVERALL I'd come back for the cocktails because the sundae doesn't have much alcohol poured in and had a bunch of toppings I wasn't interested in. Great flavors and texture. Would like to see more customization options for the sundaes.

A great place to go after dinner! It's dessert and booze, so how could it get any better. I enjoy their assortment of flavors, especially the marigold. Though it's refreshing and the season isn't hot, it still tastes great. I couldn't really toast the alcohol, though I'm not complaining. I'm sure if I ate enough I would feel it... I'm a chocolate person, so the dark was delicious, but they all are really. The server at the counter was helpful and insightful too.

Tipsy Scoop: cocktail made in class
    Chiemi N.

This review is for the cocktail class I took from a vegan perspective. I can't recommend the class for vegans. However, I had been to a Yelp event that was fabulous! The vibe was colorful and fun! There were definitely vegan cocktails! That was kind of what I was expecting for the class. On the day of the class, I arrived about an hour early. I wanted to make sure I could find parking because I know parking in the area can be tricky. But I found one close to Tipsy Scoop. I entered the shop and made sure I informed them that I was vegan. The first cocktail wasn't going to be a problem because it was made from sherbet. The 2nd cocktail was not vegan in the least and she was going to ask her boss what could be done for me. I left for a bit to find dinner, didn't want cocktails on an empty stomach. I returned and my other friends had arrived. We were the only 4 taking the class. I was really hoping for a bigger turnout to mimic the Yelp event party in the back room that was fun and lively. But the class was more subdued and a few people trickled in to have an adult ice cream. Snacks of store bought (non vegan) cookies, strawberries and grapes were provided. The first cocktail was made in a narrow glass, since I wouldn't be making the 2nd cocktail, I grabbed the owl glass that had a wider opening. It was difficult to get scoops of the sherbet in the narrow opening. They provided gummies to decorate the cocktail, contains gelatin so not vegan. The cocktail contained 3 different flavors of sherbet and prosecco ..it was delicious. The second cocktail contained chocolatey ice cream and a buzz ball. Since it wasn't vegan I didn't make a cocktail. I was offered a pint of sherbet since I couldn't make a cocktail. At a certain point, we were able to get tastes of all the ice cream. There were 3 flavors of sherbet, I tasted them individually and liked the raspberry limoncello the best, so that's what I chose for my pint. They gave us a free glass, I already had one from the Yelp event. I took the buzz ball home and gave it to my daughter. I also gifted the pint to my daughter's boyfriend. Moving forward, I wouldn't sign up for the class again, it was $65 and not vegan friendly. There is a dairy free ice cream, but they were out of it on the day I took the class. I thought it would be fun to have a cocktail party with friends in the future though.

Cool place loved in the Mississippi area. I liked that they infused alcohol in the ice cream so you can have dessert and alcohol at the same time. They have a decent amount of flavors and you are able to sample them. They also have some items that do not contain alcohol. The alcohol content in the ice cream is light, but enough to taste it. I did enjoy the sampler, a good choice when you don't know which flavor to commit to.

    Gabrielle E.

Staff was super patient as we (overwhelmingly) browsed the menu and tasted samples. I opted for the lighter Sundae since it was so big and my partner went full chocolate. Both were delicious!

Love this place for a late night boozy treat! Had a variety of flavors to choose from (you can try samples!!) and some N/A options as well which was nice to see. The employees were awesome and let me try almost every one because of my indecisiveness- 10/10!!

With all the hype surrounding this place, I had high hopes and it sounded like such a cool concept however, it's not a place I would visit on a regular basis. It was fun but very expensive and I agree with other yelpers that it did have a very odd smell when you walked in, which is not something you would expect from an ice cream place.

Tipsy Scoop Sundae threesome. Pretty presentation
    Amanda S.

The place was clean and like the mural art they put on the wall n neon light as it makes it fun. I ordered the Old Fashion Sundae and like how they decorate all the sundaes which made it fun. Bite into it I can taste the alcohol but of course this wont make you drunk but you can enjoy the flavor at the same time. It was good but too sweet for my taste but I would say this is more of a personal preference. I would say presentation is awesome and couldn't decide which one I want. I also like how they have no alcohol option for kids. They have a fridge that you can purchase alcoholic to non alcoholic beverages.

Ice cream was quite delicious! I was a bit skeptical at first but so good! The staff if friendly, and they let us sample before we purchased. Went with the flight to try a few flavors. Highly recommend!

The only thing not pictured is our wagu braised with sweet potato. That was phenomenal. It pulled apart and melted in your mouth with every bite. We ended with two very different deserts, the strawberry mochi and whipped crem brûlée type desert. Both were tasty. Price range for all plus three alcoholic drinks was $165 not including tip. To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

One of the best parts was how approachable the bartenders were. We asked for custom drinks based on our preferences, and both came out perfectly tailored. Creative without being weird, and strong without being sloppy. What really stood out was the price point. For the quality of cocktails, the prices felt very reasonable compared to similar craft cocktail bars in other cities. The vibe was also great -- relaxed, cozy, and not pretentious. It felt like a place where you could come for a special drink experience without feeling like you had to "perform" or order off a rigid menu. We liked it so much we actually came back a second time during our trip. Highly recommend if you're into well-crafted cocktails, friendly bartenders, and a laid-back but elevated atmosphere.
