It was indeed bubbly and refreshing. Tho very light given there was vodka in it. The aesthetic of the place is very minimalistic. It was super quiet and bright when we were there. So the vibe can be a little sterile. Bartender was great. We just wanted a quick drink and he delivered. Once my friends joined us, one ordered a quick soda and we were on our way to dinner. Amazing Bar. This year has been the year of Mezcal for me. Im still trying to create a cocktail at home based off of Elden Ring and Mezcal has been the spirit I've been experimenting with the most. The Box Social definitely gave me some ideas after hanging out here recently. The drink I got was a Constanza Wallet. Like the menu implied, it was very refreshing. For some reason I really like the combination of Mezcal and Passionfruit together. So when I saw these ingredients in the drink I automatically gravitated towards it. I'm so glad that I did. Theres so many fun elements going on. Theres sweet, maybe a tiny bit of smoke. Citrusy. This cocktail was made for me. Heck this bar was. So many great cocktails on the menu. I really just wanna come back and try them all. But anywho, definitely recommend. Very cool and chill vibes here too. I think what stood out the most was when my wifey was undecided about a drink, the bartender talked her down from one drink because she felt like the flavor profile didn't fit what she was looking for. She wanted some a little sweet but not super super sweet and I think we both appreciated her honesty. Visited here for some quick drinks with friends and really loved its vibe. There was plenty of seating and we were able to get one by the window which made for great people watching along Williams. I immediately fell in love with the Die Hard themed flight option and both my friend and I went for that. The fruity mezcal was so good! Very cool vibes, minimalist bar with high ceiling and a sweet art deco-esque mural. Lots of seating options for a somewhat medium sized space. Nice options for different cocktails pending your liqueur of preference. The Ru Paul Sparkle Pony was right up my alley as a citrus tart loving vodka girl. Very drinkable. My mans got a Whiskey Business which he loved. I'm not big on brown drinks but this was actually tolerable for me. Very smooth nice foam on top from the egg white, the apple juicy sweetness was there but not so overpowering that you lose the spirit. I believe they also serve small bites/food but we didn't try any so can't comment on that. Do recommend as a nice spot for a drink or two. read more

New favorite bar! The ambience is modern and cozy with big windows. They have both outdoors and indoors seating. The bar is huge with many liquor options. Their happy hour menu is full of delicious gems on the food side. We split a Tuna Melt and it's delicious! Came with an arugula salad. Would vouche for their regular drinks menu because they are SO GOOD! We tried the Espresso Martini and the Negroni Fizz and they're bomb, especially the Negroni Fizz. Had a really lovely round of drinks at Box Social! The interior is dark and moody, with tall ceilings and a cool wall mural - a great romantic date spot. I sat outside with my friend in the covered street patios. The staff quickly brought over a propane heater to keep us warm. That was just the start of the staff's excellent service, as they accommodated a special request and treated us with a lot of kindness. The drinks were a pleasant surprise! Not only were they good looking and therefore Instagrammable, but they also tasted really good. And that included a pickle-vodka drink on the cocktail flight. Did I end up here because I tried to go to Eem and there was a two hour wait? Yes, yes I did. But did I also enjoy some cute drinks and a little flight which was super interesting? Yes, yes I did. Came by with some friends because we foolishly tried to go to Eem as a group of 6 and were hit with a wall of other earnest diners. This spot was perfect from some pre-dinner drinks and had great outdoor seating which worked well for our group and for the hot weather. We all grabbed some cocktails which were delicious, and reasonably priced, and also got a flight of cocktails so we could all try some intriguing drinks. Came to this bar on a typical rainy Portland evening while waiting for dinner in the area. Was able to get seated promptly at the bar, place was pretty busy as most people seemed to be also waiting for reservations elsewhere/avoiding the rain. Bar staff was very friendly. On their menu they have a "rotating old fashion" which I believe the bartenders come up with each day. I tried this and it did not go down easy, would've been better off with a regular old fashion. My partner tried what I believe is the Dirty Little Thief - big sprig of sage was nice but didn't add a ton of flavor as the habanero was the most obvious component. We don't mind a little spice in a drink but the habanero overtook all the other flavors. We left pretty unimpressed as this place has good reviews. This was an unexpected find, but so happy we stumbled across The Box Social! We had some time to kill before meeting friends down the street, and popped in for some pre-funk snacks and drinks. Firstly, they have a great happy hour menu! The pimento spread and grilled cheese were just what we needed. We had several drinks as well- the pickle martini was outstanding, as well as the espresso martini. The Negroni fizz was my favorite, and filthy lessons was so delectable we had two! What a nice little cozy place. Tried their seasonal mocktail and it was fire! Hummus plate was ok. Cucumber slices are thicc and also comes with a little bit of pita bread. My friend got the pickle juice cocktail and it was pretty bad. We both like pickle juice but the cocktail tasted more like cucumber water. For the most part, everybody else who got a cocktail didn't seemed to enjoy their drink. Perhaps if you haven't tried mocktails, it's time for you try something new! read more

The bar has a very cozy and intimate feel and looks like a good date night spot.I got the house Red and the hubby ordered a Hot toddy to start with. It comes in a cup instead of a glass and was really warming. I am not a big Hot toddy fan but even I was impressed. We ordered the cheese platter which went really well with both our drinks and an old fashioned which they are famous for . Came here on a random Wednesday/ around 5pm. Light traffic in the business. Mask + Vax check upon entering. Super chill vibes. Kick ass mixologist- she made incredible drinks- had a Rye drink and my wife had Mexican Coffee- both were perfect. Since we were still in happy hour, wife got a margarita and I got an Old Fashioned. Both were perfect. For food we got the Spinach spread and the Tuna Melt- again perfect, and worked well for us as we were not too hungry. Well the drinks were good but there was basically no food and not good service. Also for some reason, the waitress became kind of mean once more tables showed up..? My wife and I were pretty confused as to why. Sucks we really liked the spot when we arrived, but it was really tough getting the servers attention and we were here with almost no one else inside or out. The food and the service was amazing! Only giving this place 4 stars because it is a little overpriced. But if you come for happy hour it would be a good deal. Love that this place is a handful to vegan choices. The queso dip was amazing with a bit of spice added to it. Also the mushroom dish was amazing, when you put the mushrooms on the toast.
