I was on my way to Milk Bar for ice cream when I stumbled upon this place because it said "liquor-infused." This is my first time here and I'm actually really pleased with the flavors. From the samples the "vanilla bean bourbon" actually tasted like the sweet love child of bourbon and vanilla bean ice cream. I went the path of sangria sorbet however and was not disappointed. I just had the most fun making sundaes at this location. I've been wanting to visit Tipsy Scoop for quite some time and was thrilled to find a deal on pulsd. I told my friends about the sundae making class and they enthusiastically agreed to attend. The process was very simple thanks to Kristen. This location is very easy to get to from Brooklyn and it's bigger than the original store in the city. My group of four was joined by another group of four to receive instructions from Kristen. The two hour class exceeded my expectations. We had candy to snack on before Kristen gave us the backstory on the fabulous company. After receiving instructions we were pretty confident in our skills. The best part is that even if our sundaes didn't quite look like hers, we had a ton of fun customizing our sundaes and eating them. We made TWO sundaes. Wait, it gets better. As a part of the package we got to try as many samples as we wanted to chose our complimentary scoop AND our pint to take home in their Tipsey Scoop insulated bag. They also sell dry ice so you can transport your goodies. The whole experience was super fun and the staff were really friendly. They answered all of our questions and even made some great recommendations. I think my favorite is the seasonal Moscow mule. That deal was totally worth it and more. Visited Tipsy Scoop Bk location last night for the sundae making class with the parents and niece. This was my 2nd time!! (I like ice cream!). Our hostess turned out to be the owner, Miss Melissa. She didn't introduce herself that way; we found out about a half hour into the class.Very friendly and welcoming! We liked that!! I have to give a big props to Miss Roslyn! (Apologies if I messed up your name) She is amazingly awesome! Took care of all our needs, very welcoming, friendly, great conversation, knows all about the company backwards and forwards!! Very disappointed today. Today was my boyfriends birthday. We spent our morning planning activities and his birthday meal. After finding out the Brooklyn location is closed on Mondays, we readjusted our plans to go into Manhattan and visit this location. We arrived at 7pm to a completely dark building, closed up. The posted hours stated closed at 8 pm. There were no signs or anything indicating why the location was closed early. We were very disappointed as this was the main treat he wanted for his birthday and we had gone quite a fair distance out of our way to make this happen. I'm known for being an ice cream lover. When my fiance brought me here for Valentine's Day I was pleasantly surprised that this existed. Lol The man that worked there(didn't get his name) was SO HELPFUL and genuinely nice. I got a flight and my fiance got 2 scoops of sherbert. I loved the vibe there too. They were playing good music. We hosted a birthday party here for 30 people and it was by far one of the best birthday celebrations we've done in years! Kristin (the manager) helped us with all of our questions leading up to the event, and then John (the assistant manager) ensured the night was a great success. Their ice cream is delicious, and our guests loved being able to get boozy cocktails in addition to just ordering beer and wine directly. We were able to bring our own decorations, and they were also able to provide some savory snacks which were great. I highly recommend hosting events here given how unique and fun it is. The ice creams are great but they are far from making you tipsy, there is a hint of alcohol mingled with the ice cream. I ordered the holiday special eggnog, was very sweet, tasted like real eggnog. Some of the flavors are stronger depending on the kind of liquor mixed in the ice cream, they have a lot of creative flavors and almost any kind of liquor used. Definitely not somewhere to go if you're looking to get drunk, but a good place to hangout with friends and certainly an option for NYE celebrations. For those who are lactose intolerant, they have sorbets spiked with sparkling wine. You need to show an ID when you ask for samples or purchase an ice cream, but no ID is required for entering. They do have some non-alcoholic options but I'm not sure if they are served to those under 21 or if they refuse service to anyone under 21. Went to tipsy scoop over the weekend with my family and I. First time experiencing the excitement and I must say we truly enjoyed ourselves and the Cold Fashion was phenomenal. The staff were friendly the ice cream was good I love the Mexican tequila hot chocolate and the mint chocolate was good as well. SMALL problem....I received 2 pints of booze ( INFUSED) ice cream, a ripped baggie w/ 2 straws, two damn gummies, a recipe card, and tiny packet of nonpareils. T(he baggie of cupcake gummies was fuller). The bottle of McKenzie cherry preserves in the PICTURE is NOT what arrived either. It was a small bottle, a piece of label tape on which the hand printed words 'cherry preserves' was written and amounted to maybe 1/4 cup! I am not sure what jar these were taken from, or whose kitchen, but nobody these days WOULD EVER CONSUME AN UNIDENTIFIED FOOD PRODUCT! AND NO BOOZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FINALLY received an apology email with an offer of a $25.00 gift certificate ON MY NEXT ORDER!!!!!!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY?????????? Like ANYONE would EVER go through this again?????FINALLY, Nicole emailed me back and said she was sorry, could completely understand and was refunding my order price. I replied thank you. TODAY I got a confirmation email that I had been refunded $130.90. WHAT???? I HAVE RECEIVED MY PRICE, MINUS A $ 9.90 TIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WHAT? A TIP FOR WHAT AND TO WHOM? I can't even review the ice cream, I've been too angry and embarrassed to give the gift of two stale gummies and 2 pints of ice cream to the recipients. Such a great concept, and having visited the location in Manhattan, really nice to see that they've opened up in Brooklyn as well. Always great ice cream and sorbets, with playful yet potent amounts of of liquor. While their readily available pints are always great, you really can't beat having it straight from the tub. Horrible experience. Delivery of a gift was completely ruined. Delivery was supposed to occur on Friday between 4-8pm. Recipient had not received it by 8:30pm, so I called the store to figure out what was happening. Apparently the delivery driver was having car trouble, which is fine, it happens, however I was not notified at all. So they asked if they could deliver it sat morning. I said I needed to check with the recipient, so I was instructed to send an email, as they were closing, so tomorrow's shift would be able to see it the next day. So I sent them an email asking for the delivery to be on Monday. Saturday comes and my recipient receives a text asking if she can come and pick it up from the store. I sent them an email. No response for half an hour so I called the store again. They apologized saying they had not had a chance to respond to my email yet, which is also fine, but that the email address that the email was sent to the previous night is not checked frequently. They confirmed with the manager that it would be delivered on Monday instead. My recipient arrived home on Saturday night and found melted ice cream outside of her door as the dry ice has completely run out. I had ordered the ice cream cocktail kit which looked so cute and was super excited for my recipient to receive it, I mean it's alcohol, ice cream and gummies, but instead she received a melted mess.
