A delicious port

A Special Night at Tina's in Dundee   My wife and I recently had the chance to enjoy dinner at Tina's in Dundee, and it was one of those evenings that just felt special from start to finish.   The atmosphere was spot-on--beautiful décor that felt both cozy and refined, and the music set just the right mood without being distracting. You could tell a lot of thought went into creating a space that's welcoming and relaxing.   We started with the ceviche, which was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. For the main course, we shared the smoked ribeye, and wow; it was perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and plated like something out of a fine dining magazine. But the real surprise was dessert: a homemade coconut cake served with from-scratch ice cream and a rich chocolate ganache that looked as good as it tasted. It was the kind of dessert you think about later and wish you had more of.   The owners were onsite and genuinely a pleasure to talk with; friendly, passionate, and clearly invested in making each guest's night memorable. They even selected a perfect port to pair with our dessert, and it brought the whole experience together in a really thoughtful, memorable way.   If you're looking for a great spot for a date night or just a relaxing evening out, Tina's is absolutely worth the visit. We're already looking forward to going back.

Tina's is an amazing restaurant and great place to eat after a day of wine tasting. Upon entering the restaurant it feels very intimate and welcoming. The restaurant is laid out very well with tables not too close. Our table had a handmade sign with our name that the owner makes, being held by a champagne top that looked like a chair. Such a cute touch. The staff gets an A+, they were genuine, friendly and checked on us the right amount. They handled some inpatient/ rude guests with kindness and professionalism. I know this is a wine town but the cocktails are some of the best I've had. I had a vesper martini and my wife had a blueberry martini. We both could have had enough to be walking back to our hotel. But since we came here for wine, we opted to have wine with our entrees. We had the crispy salmon rolls, which was one of the most creative appetizers I recall having. It eat like an egg roll but with flaky salmon. We both had the salad, which comes with each entree. I really appreciated that salad or soup and in-house focaccia comes with your entree. I had the bone-in pork chop which was perfectly cooked. My wife had the seafood risotto, which tonight was with crispy skin salmon. The skin was so crispy you could hear the crunch. Now that we know they can get skin so crispy I will be having the duck next time. We were both too full for dessert. All in all it was a great meal and I'll 100% be coming back.

Charming atmosphere, great service, and some stellar dishes. We particularly enjoyed the mushroom appetizer, with its rich, creamy sauce, perfect for dipping the accompanying toast, and also the bread. Not a drop was left! Excellent wine list, and very helpful advice from the sommelier. A great spot for a relaxing evening of excellent food and drink in cozy ambiance.

This place is a gem. Great food, fantastic staff and a true "experience" worth repeating. The mushroom appetizer is a must-have, by the way!

We got here a bit early on the weekday at 2:50p. They open at three so we waited until they opened. They had some great lunch specials. I had the turkey club with a salad. It was good. I'd never seen tomatoes on a club before but it was good. They had a variety of drinks but we stuck to tea and soda as it was a work day. This looks like a great place for cocktails. Even when I tried to pay the second round, she told the bartender not to accept my payment. haha Even if I had paid, I would still like this place and their cocktails. It is a nice atmosphere, not too loud, comfortable seating, warm whimsical decorations, friendly service, and clean bathrooms. They have a large list of cocktails, mocktails and other non-alcoholic beverages, as well as beer and wine. They can make all the traditional cocktails. A regular told me the manhattan is top notch, but the cherries aren't the best he's seen. Cherry seemed alright to me. They also have several house cocktails and a few specials to choose from. Between us 4, we tried several different cocktails. We even tried the house cocktail designed for the bitterest of liqueurs, Jeppson's Malört. All were deemed tasty by all! They offer several food items from a full kitchen, including appetizers, sandwiches, salads, breakfast, and dinner. They even have veggie burger, gluten free crackers, and gluten free (GF) fried chicken! ! ! Free parking on the street. No minors allowed, bummer...l'd like it better if kids were allowed, but it's so good it's gets the 5th star. If you choose to give a thumbs-up or not, I hope you found my review helpful!

Not sure if the lady was the manager or owner that helped us. But her friendly service was top notch!!!! With us visiting from out of town. It made me and the lady feel like regulars. Yesterday took us to McMinnville for the Wonderland Brew Fest... after the festival, we decided to do a progressive dinner. Stop at every interesting restaurant on / near 3rd Street and eat until we were satisfied... Thistle threw a big ole wrench in our plans, and we are DELIHTED they did! After a not so great first restaurant experience, we happened upon Thistle at the recommendation of a friend. We decided to stop in for an appetizer and a drink. We were immediately greeted by a lovely man named Patrick who was so friendly and accommodated us at a lovely table in the center dining room. Round #1 of drinks was ordered with the Gnocchi and Duck Liver Mousse. Good. LORDT. We were smitten at sip and bite #1. After the first round, we settled into having a second round before heading out... next thing you know, a Pork Confit hit our table. OUT OF THIS WORLD. The talent of this chef is beyond words. Our planned 45 minute stop turned into a whole evening. The drinks were absolutely out of this world. The food was ridiculously good. Truly, the absolute best restaurant in all of McMinnville. To the chef, John Thomas IV and the owner, Patrick, THANK YOU! You truly too an average Saturday evening into one of our favorite trips to McMinnville of all times. We raved and sang the praises of our experience to all our friends this morning at brunch. Our one evening alone will guarantee our return many many times in the future. If you're from McMinnville and haven't tried Thistle yet, do it! If you're visiting, stop searching for your dinner destination and call for your reservation now. We got to meet the executive chef which was a fun experience, and the staff were all very friendly. There is an odd vibe there, that I can't quite place. Almost creepy/haunted feeling. I felt it the whole time and it was a bit unsettling. However my wife and I enjoyed a nice meal. Portions are smaller and price is way up there, so be prepared to spend. The whole thing is the freshest you ever will experience at a restaraunt. That alone is worth so much!

That was NOT the case. Plants lined the ceiling and the bar and made the space beautiful and inviting. Very nice ambiance! We started with a special appitizer, Halloumi cheese and sweet potatoes. Oh man, absolutely incredible flavor and texture. That season and sauce on these were spectacular. If they are offer this, get it! We then had their seasonal salad which also was fantastic! Light and flavorful and we ate every bite. She got the salmon and I got the short rib and a side of brussel sprouts to share. All were incredible. The flavor experience here is off the charts. We kept saying how amazing the meal was all throughout the evening. I had 2 old fashions and my beauty had 2 paper planes. Both cocktails were far above average. They were excellent! You can't have a great overall experience without a fantastic server. Harmony was amazing! She checked in on us regularly ensuring everything was good and filling our waters. By this time the place was filling up with guests but we still had the same level of service. Thank you, Harmony. The pricing is what you would expect for an amazing meal. It was just over $200 including top for 4 drinks, 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, 1 salad, 1 side. It was so worth it! This was an incredible meal that my wife and I really enjoyed! Thank you, Harmony and thank you Cypress. Don't you go anywhere. We will be back next time we are down this way.
